Random Nerdfighter story: The other day I noticed someone I know wearing a DFTBA hoodie. When I complimented them on their style, they said I was the first person to recognize it even though they've had it for like 10 years, and I think it made them really happy. I love this community for that!
I wanted to find if there are any nerd fighters in my area, but there wasn't an established group listed on nerdfighteria. Is there a newer way to find groups or am I out of luck?
I find continuously doing stuff so much less stressful than having A Thing looming on the horizon. Which is to say your anxiety is understandable, & your value as a human is not defined by how productive you're being. I don't know if that helps

Usually around 4:30 is when being a stay-at-home mom gets really hard and I need to start getting dinner together so I typically pop in some headphones and My kids get some solo play and I get to giggle along with you and Katherine. Sometimes I just want some good lighthearted fun and wet or dry delivers!

I identified with this video. Why? My brain works this way. I have so many ideas, so many things to think about, that at times I am thinking about topics as diverse as chemistry to what I'll wear for the day. In fact, speaking of chemistry, I appreciated the brief mention of hydrogen. In my college Chemistry class yesterday, I re-remembered how and why elements bond in all the details I know, and re-remembering that made the subject cool again. Even simple ideas like why elements bond are COOL, and the point about hydrogen reminded me of that. If you think about it, though, aren't many simple things science-related cool? Science explains how the world works, and the world is cool. I don't know how to end this comment, but I do know thus video was fun. This week has been similar to this, since I have been doing so many small things, so watching a more...positive?...version of that is nice. These videos always put me in a better mood anyway, as I am sure they do for most people. Thanks for the surprise video today, Hank!
