Just better acceleration 0-30, seems like the transmission bogs the engine alot off the line. Other cars with similar power definitely are faster with a standard transmission 0-30.
When you hate something, you seem to find problems to any little thing, telling you from my personal experience. I think you should be thankful that you at least have a car think about how many people wish they had a car like yours be happy Maine :)
I agree the accord sport is a great looking car. I recently traded my 2012 Honda Insight on a 2017 accord sport special edition. I wish the accords sports came with different colored interiors instead of just black. On your review about what you hate about it, seems like you need to get another car. It’s a family sedan, not a race car
I have a 2016 and I love it! I am not sure if you know this, but you can change the “fish eye” view two regular, it tells you on your screen… There’s 3 options “fish eye, regular and floor view.
Has anyone else felt that the ride of the car is very rough. I have the red special edition with the same wheels and let me tell you i feel as i can feel every bump in the road. The only time I feel I get a great ride is on a nice hwy ride with this vehicle. I would love to see some comments or feedback if anyone else has had this issue and what was done to make the ride smoother.
Damn bubbu. It ain't a 2017 corvette sting ray or a Rolls Royce phantom lol 😆. Its a nice simple clean and most definitely reliable and dependable vehicle. Unlike others. In my person opinion ,its a nice car. Nice power for being a 4 banger. 💯
Bought my 2017 Sport in 2020 w/low miles. The key to making this a fun driving car is the 6-spd manual. Combine the manual w/the 19” rims and it’s really fun to drive. I personally like the interior and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in any car.
I have a 2014 accord sport. It does take more than a few minutes to warm up. I think the sport mode is fast enough for me. No complaints about accelerating. Make sure you service the cvt sooner than later. I have 40k miles on mine and never showed any code to service the cvt on the maintenance minder. I went ahead and did a drain and fill anyways. It was pretty bad so i suggest you service it around 20k miles. Don't rely on that warranty cause the damage might not show up till after the warranty period. I do have to add about 1qt of engine oil in between oil changes. I was told it's normal cause if the thin oil. Other than that i have no complaints about the accord. I also added a k&n air filter and it does make a difference in gas mileage.
You do realize that the Honda Accord sport is the Value trim in the line? Its an economy family car so of course theres going to be cheap plastic, its not an Acura or luxury vehicle.
Night Hawk Motors This is an LX with rims on it. Don’t expect much. Opinion but Cvt transmissions are never the best option. Fuel economy or not. Replacing one is extremely expensive also. I’m glad you mentioned the dislikes though.
You should be happy you don't have all the inflated gimmick technology, as replacing it later on will be expensive. The interior trim is absolutely fine idk why you're complaining. It's better than the new mustangs coming out. Leather trimmed interior is absolutely fine with me. You need to just get used to using your backup camera cuz I can get less than an inch close to cars when backing up without a problem
I agree with the technology thing, thats why the high end luxury brands are so expensive to maintain. The plastic trim comment was simply just a pet peeve, not really a big deal. The backup camera is great when you get used to it but I wanted to point it out to potential buyers just incase they did not notice it.
The camera has 3 settings for a reason. If you don't like the wide angle, hit the center button and it changes it to a straight view. Hit it again, it goes to a straight down curb view. Awesome view btw if you are hooking up a small trailer to a hitch on it....
Thanks for the reviews. I'm looking to buy an Accord Sport and I agree...I'd rather have a lil less "fancy" technology to break and be able to customize myself such as with an aftermarket radio. Easy to swap out and maintain yourself. Cars are just not built like they used to be, but costing more and more!

I did kind of rush my purchase, but only 2 things I don’t like are the camera(no beeping on approach, just those lines), and 18 inch tires are not cheap to replace. In 3 years, have not spent a dime on maintenance yet, but.....my fuel pump went last year. Covered under warranty, but I was pissed. Didn’t know the warning signs, like it was firing up faster at 20 below than when sitting in my heated garage. So to everyone, if the weather is warm and you turn the key but car doesn’t start for 3-5 seconds, more than likely it’s your fuel pump. Would hate to see you get stranded like I did
Night Hawk Motors I purchased in October 2017 a 17 sport special edition in obsidian blue pearl. I love the looks but I feel it was robbed on a lot of other features. Also the gas mileage isn’t all that impressive
The v6 was like an extra 8k not worth the increase in price and all of the extra features. The 2.4l is ok, but has been solid for the 6 years of ownership.
I am driving the same year and model of Accord in Canada. I agree to most of your comments. This car is slow to heat up. Windows got frozen up and fogged up in the winter. Steering is too light. I can never drive this car with confidence on a curvy highway. I owned two Accord before I bought this car. I am disappointed with this one.

I don't agree with this video at all. I have 2 Honda accords. Same engine one is a 6 speed manual and the other is automatic. My six speed manual has more torque than the automatic and it's pretty fast for a four door family sedan. These cars are incredibly reliable. Everything you are complaining about is not that big. A deal. if you want a car that drives like it cost a $100000. Then you should have bought a hundred thousand dollar car. For the price of these cars they are excellent reliable vehicles.
Back in the day cars never came with headers, all of them connected. The first mod people use to do to there cars was install headers. I didn’t even realize all cars came with headers now, i assumed performance cars only.
Screen on dash is nice but has no apps on stereo.i had to install a full new touch screen with tire sensors, dvd,cd new speakers, amplifiers better breaks

You can actually see the passenger head rest vibrate! The seats are also very stiff and uncomfortable for long drives. It hurts my lower back and neck. I cant wait for my lease to be up
Not going to lie, sometimes I feel like I am in a golf-cart with the vibration this car produces. In hindsight, what car would you have chosen over this one if you had a quick out?
Night Hawk Motors. Do you struggle to reverse down a incline ? I have the same model as yours with the CVT and maaaan does it struggle to reverse down my driveway that I have to give it gas.
No it’s fine! I know there is a brake hold feature on these cars that applies the brakes when it shifts from reverse to forward and vice versus. Maybe that is hold on for you?
Dude you complain about the engine not being too punchy. GET THE V6 !!, its got plenty of power, its fast and on sport mode its faster! It also got good low end torque. Its got a 6 gear auto-transmission, tried and true technology! That CVT is a no-no. The v6 is also descent on gas, feels more refined. The difference between the 6 cyl and 4 cyl is like day and night on the accord.
I paid 25 out the door thanks to negotiations. There would be hit for sure, but I am going to keep it till I know what I am going to be doing career wise. In the mean time I am saving money and working on myself.
Drove this car (my friends) for a week. Pretty disappointing in many many aspects. Way too much vibration and waaaay to slow. Just got a Fusion Titanium AWD 2015 absolutely amazing 2.0 T 270 torque down low and it just pulls with ease.
I don't know, although more comfortable than my 2012 V6 Honda Accord EXL. I think my EXL is a lot faster than these up to date models. I've been challenged by a few of these models and gapped them. Are they not using Vtec in these models?
There is V-Tec but there is only so much HP you can get out of a 2.4l 4 cylinder that will run in regular. Not to mention the CVT transmission can be a bit sluggish to get to powerband.

Bruh I get what you saying but you hating on this TOO much. It’s a Honda. Expect quality but don’t expect “Quality quality”. Honestly, test driving would’ve answered more than half of the dislikes you mentioned (if you did). It sounds you want much more comfort so probably shoulda hit for Acura or Lexus based on your wants. It’s a Honda. It’s doing it’s job. I got an accord coupe, not too luxury but it looks decent, gets me to point A and B, and as being is reliable as can be. 😊
Pretty sure the exhaust manifold is in the other side of the engine. Should’ve gotten a 6MT. I got one, full bolt ons and tuned, it’s a dream to drive. You have to modify this car once you get it, haha. Also, you are incorrect about aluminum. It is one of the most abundant metals, which is actually one of the reasons why car manufacturers have switched to aluminum, from cast iron. It’s lighter, and more stable. It is not more expensive than cast iron.
sounds like you needed to get a Hyundai Sonata. as an owner of one, I can say that I feel like I got away with something. I got the base model. Has a super punchy engine with almost turbo like low end tourque. I have apple car play and I got a heated seat installed for 200 bucks. All in all I payed 18,500 brand new for it. Super good value highly recommend.
I havent had a problem with it taking king to heat up. I think its pretty fast. My does raddle and stops sometimes i thought something was messed up hut i guess thats normal
I love the body and leather and trim on my 2014 honda accord.the sound system sucks lots of destortion, the 4 cylinder is weak and its a gas hog, needs a v6 engine, the trunk has no buttom to pop it open only key or floor release.no tire pressure screen.i should of just bought a sonata 2.4 faster and better mileage.
I haven’t had a major problem, just little gripes I feel shouldn’t be there, mainly the vibration from the drivetrain and wheel/tire rubbing noise. I did hear the 18-19 are having alot of issues.
I feel your pain about the CVT issue. I have one too. Don’t feel so bad though. Fun fact: Once upon a time exactly 30 years ago the CVT engine was banned in F1 in 1993-1994 for being wait for it…”TOO GOOD” 🤯. “Williams FW15C CVT” by Sepa ruclips.net/video/x3UpBKXMRto/видео.html “Why F1 Banned Their Best Car” by Donut Media ruclips.net/video/NBWfnOhc34I/видео.html
About transmission its how cvt work ,when I bought my accord I was very surprised, I thought the transmission was slipping, but as way as the cvt works, a friend of mine had a nissan altima and the same way,in time you get used to it,
I just got a 2017 Accord sport and I understand each point. It’s 2017 Honda. Where’s the tech. I am coming from. 2009 Mercedes where it was becoming unreliable and I didn’t want to put more money into it. Tomorrow is day one. I’m off work to so maybe I take a drive
Honda ruined things by jumping on the cvt band wagon...... they have lost several Honda fans. i guess you could get a v6, but the price is very high for Honda v6..... think of getting a Mazda 6 in the future
Thank you for making this video because I was starting to think something was wrong with the 2016 accord sport I just bought. I totally agree with how little torque it has in the lower RPMs. I didn’t think I’d have to worry much about pulling out into traffic, but I definitely do. My 2006 V4 Galant had much better low end torque, unfortunately. “Sport” smh
I decided on the 4cyl because I had a manual fwd acura Tl years ago and it would understeer like crazy, So i wanted to give this a shot so far no understeer.
probably that CVT is the reason why everything screwed up !!! i don't know what the hell up with that CVT . WHY on a SPORT model you need a CVT ?! OR why the hell they call it SPORT ?!! just like Nissa they add the CVT set up on Altima high Trim and Maxima .. WHY ?!!! they made one of the best design vehicles crap because of that CVT !!!
This is very true, technology is both good and bad. I am really weary of all of these active assist programs that can control a vehicle, if they malfunction people can get hurt.

My wrx is a 4 cylinders and it gives me 35 mpg
they shouldn't have to make that set up on a SPORT ?!!

You didn’t test drive it before you bought it🧐
Pretty sure the exhaust manifold is in the other side of the engine.
The plastic intake manifold is on the back. The CVT transmission is a weak point not worth modifying.
Dude if you know this much about cars why fuck you get it.
I have the same car does anyone's transmission sound like it's whistling
Mine does this on occasion while accelerating.
Night Hawk Motors mine does it wheneverI'm coming to a stop
Try changing the fluid
If you hate your Accord, we hate your microphone 🎤
Cool story
sounds like you needed to get a Hyundai Sonata. as an owner of one, I can say that I feel like I got away with something. I got the base model. Has a super punchy engine with almost turbo like low end tourque. I have apple car play and I got a heated seat installed for 200 bucks. All in all I payed 18,500 brand new for it. Super good value highly recommend.
Thats a great deal!
I havent had a problem with it taking king to heat up. I think its pretty fast. My does raddle and stops sometimes i thought something was messed up hut i guess thats normal
I beleive thats the head gasket. Mine rattles when its cold too
As a 4 cylinder… they are meant to be revved allt. 4k will get you the power you want. Sports mode rides at 3k with almost no gas
i have the same car and same model. i hate the radio system. There's no BASS at all. Sounds cheap........
lol !!! Silly ass dislikes .... bro c’mon man
Should have gotten a 6s manual autos are for girls
I love the body and leather and trim on my 2014 honda accord.the sound system sucks lots of destortion, the 4 cylinder is weak and its a gas hog, needs a v6 engine, the trunk has no buttom to pop it open only key or floor release.no tire pressure screen.i should of just bought a sonata 2.4 faster and better mileage.
The problem is the cvt!
4cyc eng sound, should have got the v6.. could sound better.you got a 4 cycle engine and want it to sound better.
V6 is the way to go
Agree with you on this, not to mention it would have a standard auto and probably wouldn’t shake at idle like mine.
That's why I test everything about a car before I buy it
Honestly I bought a 16-17 haven’t had a problem with it. I heard a lot of people have problems with 18-19.
Fun fact: Once upon a time exactly 30 years ago the CVT engine was banned in F1 in 1993-1994 for being wait for it…”TOO GOOD” 🤯.

the belt on the CVT?
The CVT unit is a metal belt driven transmission much like a snowmobile. two pulleys at metal belt a engagement clutch and a reverse clutch.
Yep they are belt driven which is another reason I’d never buy one.
🤣😂
My 17 Honda accord is like a Tesla with a gas tank.
Yo...just put money into it 💁♂️
Get a Ktuner. It will fix most of the things your complaining about.
you may change the view of the rear camera
+Yuriy Pokutsa I did try to change the rear camera view and was unable to find a setting to my liking to remove the fisheye look.
About transmission its how cvt work ,when I bought my accord I was very surprised, I thought the transmission was slipping, but as way as the cvt works, a friend of mine had a nissan altima and the same way,in time you get used to it,
yes, its very strange and none conventional.
Night Hawk Motors the change camera view is the middle select button on radio controls. I only use fish eye when backing out of a spot
Didn't you make a video recently about hating the new accord, and how much you love the 2017 car instead?
5 Things I love video and 5 things I hate. whats the problem?
I just got a 2017 Accord sport and I understand each point. It’s 2017 Honda. Where’s the tech. I am coming from. 2009 Mercedes where it was becoming unreliable and I didn’t want to put more money into it. Tomorrow is day one. I’m off work to so maybe I take a drive
Honda ruined things by jumping on the cvt band wagon...... they have lost several Honda fans. i guess you could get a v6, but the price is very high for Honda v6..... think of getting a Mazda 6 in the future
I do like the mazda vehicles, they seem to be a bit more sporty than the Honda’s with the CVT.
Honestly just get the V6 or the 2.0T in the redesign because ur complaining a lot for a base/value trim
This is hilarious
Should have waited and got yourself a 2018!!
atiprocharger ruclips.net/video/GAWgEfKjkGM/видео.html Here is a response video to that comment!
CVT or 2.oT with 10 A/T will take the price way over 30k. New accords with CVT are garbage!
The new body design is horrible. I'll stick to the 16 model.
I have a 2017 Sport SE no problems.
@@geovannyzuniga6037 I have the same car 61,168 miles and no problems what so ever.
Compared to the civic I love the sport accord
Why get the car if you don’t like it smh
Thank you for making this video because I was starting to think something was wrong with the 2016 accord sport I just bought. I totally agree with how little torque it has in the lower RPMs. I didn’t think I’d have to worry much about pulling out into traffic, but I definitely do. My 2006 V4 Galant had much better low end torque, unfortunately. “Sport” smh
I know! You have to pick your opening really carefully when merging.
Just upgrade to a v6 or get the new 1.5 turbo. Both have way more torque
I agree! The CVT was a mistake for sure.
The car is not good on the highway, it does not have any power to push, it does not have any power, it is like a bicycle
Well i'm not so sure about the torque that belongs in the lower rpms as you say but....maybe i'll see what you mean once i research it for myself.
torque curve.
Night Hawk Motors Okay Thanks.....But I must say, the less technology the less problems.
This is very true, technology is both good and bad. I am really weary of all of these active assist programs that can control a vehicle, if they malfunction people can get hurt.
Night Hawk Motors Glad U See What I Mean! Once You Start To Notice How Easy Things Can Be Controlled Nowadays, It’s O Ky Better To Make Sure All Of Things In Your Car Is Not All Electronic.
