If my boy walks too slow he becomes 3 legged. A mate described it perfectly calling him a Spitfire. With that little wheel at the back. He sort of has a minimum speed where all 4 legs work in unison otherwise one of his back legs skips along and becomes redundant. And going down stairs is all 3 legs too. Very efficient little chap.
Your red staffy looks just like mine, they're a beautiful dog. They love to play, go on walks and follow their owners everywhere, and they're so loyal. Mine lived to 13. I miss my big boy. 😢

The thing with Staffies, you gotta really play with them! Honestly, when they have a ball, try twisting them around (manageably) by their bodies, they love it, my Staff did! Their necks are pure muscle, they can handle it (if a pure breed)! Or spin then around with the ball in their mouth. The point is, Staffies have so much energy, they can handle anything you give them and give it back double. Good owners will always have that bond with their dog where they both know where the limit is. As Staffies aren't shy about playing!

What bloodline is he from. My husband wants one really bad . We've had ted nose American pot in past real old when they passed also had a press scenario. Dird real old good dogs with good bloodlines. This dog u have remind me of the little ted nose we had built just like him papered 10 generation back from England
You wont regret it. I have one and they are just the coolest little dogs there are. We also have a very large Rott and a tiny Yorkie. Watching the 3 of them play together and rough house is better entertainment than anything on TV. I call the trio, small, medium, and extra large.
Staffies are THE finest breed of all. Wonderful companions, huge fun, they adore their owners, highly intelligent, intuitive, tenacious and very courageous- utterly fearless if required to defend themselves or those they love. You never own a Staffordshire- they own YOU! :)

love your dog !! i have one shes very similar . try to find a small american football/rugby ball it drives them crazy because when you kick/throw it they bounce all over the place gives the dog a good workout. im lucky that i live at the beach so she swims and runs around with her freinds every day
Nice! Thanks for the pointer. I'm so happy to have discovered something called the Barrett Ball It's a really strong and yet much smaller and bounces also so I don't have to worry about all that rubber for a landfill!
Yes, he is great! He's never aggressive at the shows or anything. Like all Staffords, if any dog provokes him then you have a problem but he is very much on his own and doesn't cause any problems. 🤗
Thank you and yes. He is exactly 16 inches and, typically at 40 pounds, which is interesting because he looks a bit smaller than a lot of the dogs in the show ring that supposedly are same height and weigh 38.5 😉

Hi, they definitely can swim but it is true you have to be careful and some of them may think after a period of time because they are so densed bodied, so you always want to watch out for that and I always have life jackets on mine except for when we're just going like to the river and they're not going to go out very far they seem to have a good instinct on that but in a pool or a lake a life jacket is best.
Hi they are really just known as Staffordshire Bull Terriers It's the only kind but yes all their roots are from England and Asher's lines are from the US Spain and England. 😊

It's really a hard thing to say but I think if you're getting your first dog ever a male Stafford wouldn't be the way to go although they can be so angelic and sweet and cuddly. Personally, I prefer them over the females and I think they're more compliant and less problematic, but that's because I've had a lifetime of dogs. Most people if they're not showing and they get a female and they spay or after the third heat cycle and they socialize her well are going to find a little bit easier to live with. But, she still is a female terrier so emphasis on socialization or you can always have problems with other female dogs, in my experience especially smaller ones, as it can bring out a prey drive instinct if the other dog is somewhat scrappy.

He's an AKC REGISTERED STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER. A lot of people always ask if Staffords are pocket pitbulls but there's really no such breed. And I do know that there are American bulldogs but they are not recognized by the AKC. There are usually very good reasons behind that but I don't know them all in this case.

Its funny because you can spot an sbt from a mile away when they are walking on the street. They have this typical way of walking. I love this breed!

They were bred to be low to the ground but also still very agile.
