I just lost my baby at 16 years of age due to kidney failure sadly. She never put a paw wrong and we did so much together over the years, came to work with me everyday and was an absolute blessing in my life. RIP Memphis 🐾
You just made me cry😭😭 tears of missing mine. It's 4 weeks since I lost my Ruby. Same here, what an amazing dog💖 We were inseparable and best friends. She loved our chickens and loved being reminded it's bedtime so she could go tuck herself in our bed. Always wanted to have a pillow too. I hope you find comfort in your memories. She got lymphoma and in the end after trying everything, we had to say goodbye. She has the best spot in the garden and we plan to plant a maple tree next to her grave. I am happy that on Saturday we will meet out potential adoptive staffy Tom. He seems so cheeky and I see a bit of Ruby in him😂. I look forward to spoiling him for the reminder of his time on earth. RIP Memphis and Ruby💕💕💕💕

Very good assessment, one of the best I've seen. Thanks for adding me to your group. It's good to have others who think they are lovable dogs and should not be banned. I went about 15 years without a dog and now I have a rescue American Blue Staffy about 8 years old now. We have had him just over 2 years and he is so loving. I've had shepherds, Australian terrier, red heeler...all good, wonderful dogs but nothing compares to the huge Boof we now have. He is bigger than me, 50 kgs/( 110 lbs I think) and we haven't weighed him yet BUT he hates other animals. I think this is something to do with his previous place but not sure. Because of this I had to find a vet that would come to us and she does for the cost of her petrol!!!!!! That is a miracle in itself. She is wonderful. Boof is big, clumsy and loves all humans. He is the most lovable dog I have come across. He adapted to us as if he had lived here his whole life. We love him to bits. So glad he came into our lives.
Everything on this video is spot on we’ve had 4 Staffies now, our biggest issue at the minute is barking if she goes in back garden it’s only a matter of time before she starts
I adopted a 7 yo Staffie he was my soul fluff! He came with aggression but we worked through it, but then he left us at an early age. I adored him. He was at my side all the time, I loved every minute of it 🥰. I foster a lot so I now have a puppy that’s half Staffie half husky! Adorable 🥰 I can’t wait to see how her personality develops ❤️
How did you work aggression out of him. I am 16 years old and me and my father recently adopted a really sweet and loving senior Staffordshire bull terrier. He is a softie and is like a teddy bear to all human life. Everything is great about him except that when we meet other dogs on walks he sometimes starts softly whining and then starts making himself big and tries to be dominant. Sometimes he does it without the whining. He is great with my uncles Labrador retriever but they have been together now a few times. Any tips? I’d really appreciate some since I can’t find anything online about how to desensitize senior Staffies.
@@dmmoctober Absolutely! Lost my 15 year old in July and I still put flowers on her Grave, cry when I get home from working away and think of her always. I am hoping the new adoption is going to heal my heart and allow me to make new memories together.
I adopted my rescue girl when she was 8. When I first met her she immediately wrapped her front legs around my thigh and wouldn't let go. She's nearly 14 now and from day one has been the best behaved, easiest pet I've ever had. She is everything that is great about the breed. I can totally understand how you must've felt about your old girl. I think you're doing a great thing.
Your video is excellent. Our Staffy Boy left us at 16 1/2 years. Yep little tinker ah on his early walks pull pull pull. We got him to sit down at every pull. Ok time consuming & we did not get far but wow it worked!!!!!!!!!!!1 A wee pup should not walk far so no bother. Fixed the pulling tho. We found Kong make of toy the best for his chewing. He was a very good boy well exercised socialised and loved to play ball or frisby games. He came with us on 3 month trips thru France, Spain & Portugal in a camper he came with us every where. If our dog was not wanted then we did not go there as took it we were also unwanted. He was a loving cuddly wee chap no 11 the runt of the litter. Gosh miss my boy like crazy. Now have a rescue from a sad sad life in another country that made him a mess. Love him to bits and he loves us & his new life.
My staffy is 7 years old and he taught a Weimaraner a valuable lesson today, the Weimaraner was 10 months old and very big and boisterous, he tried to mount my staffy and the Weimaraner owner started to panic because she thought things were about to go wrong , I said it’s ok and to let it play out, my staffy had to give him six warnings before he got the message!!!🤣 now I keep my staffy fit and do a lot of tug with him , I’m on the other end of the rope 😊 so he had the strength to fend off this big dog, my staffy looked powerful and super fast and on the sixth warning he gave him a proper look at his teeth which are impressive, it was good to see because my staffys temperament is bullet proof to which the other dogs owner can testify, they then played for a bit before she thanked me for letting it (play out), I said I know my boy👌🏻
I have just rescued a staffy cross. She's about 13 months old and she's been with me for about 3 weeks. I took her from someone who couldn't cope with her newborn, her toddler, an upcoming move overseas AND an energetic dog. I took her because the only other people who wanted her were planning on backyard breeding her - gross! She's the first dog I've had in over 20 years and while it's an ongoing adjustment (😱) she's smart, affectionate and a total sweetie. Walking her was like walking a big game fish, lol, until I started using a head collar. It's only a temporary measure until we can walk without BEING SUPER EXCITED BY EVERYTHING AND WANTING TO BE EVERYWHERE AND FRIENDS WITH EVERYBODY RIGHT NOW (lol) but the difference is mind-blowing! She has had very minimal training and socialisation for the past year, so I'm a bit apprehensive about how she'll go when we try obedience training once she's recovered from desexing. I guess we'll find out when we go 😁
My only disagreement is that a staffy needs an “experienced” owner as never having had a dog as a kid hasn’t prevented me from raising the most loving, gentle creature ever. Shows only love to humans and animals alike … cept maybe for squirrels but then her bark is way worse than her bite and if they dont run from her she chickens out of running after them. Will only bark at them when theyre safely up a tree. Proper bag of wind she is sometimes.
Oh I love my 4 month old staffy But I started to freak out. I've always had a lap dog. Small dogs. My Staffy is so full of energy and eats more than ME. I've lost weight walking her. Two ti.es a day minimum 4 times is the max at the moment. She is already so strong. My arms get a work out. I do the tip said here and don't let he pull. Yet this makes walks not a quick WALK.
@LisaDonaldson-m8h buy a harness instead of a collar. Clip the leash on the rung closest to the chest on the harness. When the dog pulls the leash will trip their front legs and they'll stop pulling.
I rescued a dog/animal aggresive staffy, did consistent training and she mellowed out was chill with everything, absolute Queen. No such thing as bad dogs just the training and socialising that is lacking. Love their funny character and spirit, so playful. I love their subtle stubborn ways, they know what they want, and it shows how intelligent they are
Well done. The same here, my Staffy Boxer cross is a rescue and full of behavioural problems. Everything mentioned in this video and more. I also gave him consistent training, in all areas of his behaviour, and now he is a very different dog. He now has structure, rules and boundaries, plus plenty of exercise everyday. He is a much calmer dog now and a lot less anxious.
I had to make what was called a "tiger pit" for my staffie. It's a hole in the ground I put wood chips and hamster bedding so she would dig there and not everywhere else in my backyard. I would put some of her toys in and when she dug it all out , I would rake it all back in. She was a handful and I miss her almost every day.
So much of this is true! I have my third, Bruno, now 2 1/2 yo, Mostly a very good boy, prone to forgetting his manners when excited, but am constantly seeing improvements! es, they can be a handful, but firm, calm, regular training, and exercise are key. I would recommend the Staffy to anyone, with caveats, you need to be constant, never leave a young staffy to it's own devices, get them socialised, and make them obey your command. Do these things, reward good behaviours, and you will have a wonderful dog who will reward you with love, loyalty and companionship!
Fantastic channel. After researching many dog breeds, my family and I feel a Staffy is the type of dog for us. These videos have been extremely helpful in understanding this type of dog and assisting us in making an informed decision.
Staffies are the most sociable fur babies and most sort after for families with children and babies I'm a dog behaviour expert and trainer love ❤️ from Billy and little leo woof xx
You missed out the constant licking. Ive been around this breed for most of my life and have never found one who didnt think you needed a staffy wash from them. 😂
Just remember that Staffies although having Staffy traits can be very different to what this video shows. I've had two Staffys now and both didn't bark at all, and this is something most Staffy owners over the years have said to me. My first Staffy barked once in 14 years. They keep their mouths closed more often than not. My first staffy loved digging, my second Staffy doesn't dig AT ALL, in fact after two weeks her folded blanket in the cage is still folded! Love this breed, and love their quietness and no barking the most. It doesn't make them good guard dogs though because the two Staffs I've owned don't even bark if someone knocks the door. They both watched a lot, with no noise.
I have a staffie/boxer mix. He only barks when he hears an odd noise outside or when the mailman delivers. We did break his digging habit and wasn't difficult. The walking tips are spot on.
I had one and she was the best dog I ever had. She passed away last year from Bloat. I miss her terribly. She loved other animals and loved to play with everyone.
Mine is 11 and still acts like a pup but he absolutely loves getting on my bed for a movie night. He copes absolutely amazingly being alone for long periods of time. Just chills in his bed and just vibes.
After resolving many issues with our rescue, such as on lead reactive and nervousness i’m left with a problem that has caught me by surprise and that is her stubbornness. If she wants to walk in a certain direction maybe different from where you intend to go she stops dead and is difficult to move on.
My Staffy really has none of those issues, only time he pulls on the lead is when he sees a rabbit or squirrel. Otherwise he’s very good on the lead. He’s never dug in the garden, never had issues with him jumping and only a little chewing when a pup. Main issue I’ve found is that he’s not keen on bigger male dogs that haven’t been neutered.
I got 4 out of 5 sorted with my staffy,,,,,i just never got the pulling under control, he is 8 years old now an still pulls like a train, i did all i was advised too but no joy, other than this he is the best staffy in the world in my eyes! Belting dogs staffies
My one barks when she wants something a play or a pet ect jumping up on people when out a walk she's just happy to see them but most people don't be happy, been hoping she stops it no signs of that happening 😂 a brilliant dog breed loving & caring
And no my dog never touched things on the ground because she ate something on the ground that made her real sick. So I learned her if she doesn't get the take or fetch, or whatever command you give your dog when you have made their food ready for them she will wait and the word for snails and yucky disgusting things on the ground was æsj and the immediate response I love you so much! Let's continue.. Yiu get my point
My pup (8year old lol), will happy bark at people he really likes but they don't understand him like I do and are a tiny taken back by this. I try to correct him kindly but at times he's so into the new friends he's just made it doesn't register with him unless I show him the look 👀. This is my only issue, he's the best behaved pup I've ever had doesn't miss a beat. Everything a dog should be true 4×4 of the dog world as long as they are by your side they're in heaven ❤
My mother once bought my first staffy a dog toy made out of Kevlar. She still managed to rip the thing to Pieces inside of four days. Fortunately she never chewed anything she wasn't supposed to but man did she loved tearing things apart. Playing with tennis balls at one point or another she would always stop and you would just see her Jaws tightening up and pop. So I had to buy a lot of tennis balls since fetch was her favorite thing.
My staffy girl is very stubborn but she is quite well behaved unless someone doesn't know how to tell a dog to sit then she will jump up on a person. She always has things to chew on and it stops her chewing furniture and belongings. My main problem has been her pulling for 3 and a half years but I haven't tried these tips for pulling. Sounds like that's what will work. Thank you.
One of my Staffadors kept jumping our 5 foot fence so I got a 6 foot fence installed and he just learned how to jump it too 🙃 My other Staffador almost talks of so vocal that he is he'll go out of his way to start an argument if he's bored
I have a beautiful staffy cross with something nutts she is amazing in everyway but thinks everyone that comes to the front door want to kill me 😂😂 but outside the door it's her best friend 😅 she is 9 months old so plenty of time to train her and a long life ahead hopefully 💕
My staffy pulls on lead but I resuced her n she was year old. She's a great loving dog, but she does act be4 thnkihlng. I can walk her without leash in my yard tho. Such a happy dog love her
Great dogs. Adopted, Great in the lead, house/crate trained, basic training. You do need to be a Responsible owner. Watch around other animals. Big dog in a Smaller package but solid
I have a two year old. I got him when he was 11 months close to a year. He is a great boy. He is a stubborn little guy but listens. Well selective listening actually. But I'm working with him. He's been my best friend since before the break up. And had helped me through tough struggles. Both emotional and mentally. Physically he's gotten me healthier for sure. I owe him only the best. And hence comes the problem. I spoil the shit out of this dude and he knows it. Lol. It's just that I try to be serious when he does something wrong. But then he gives me those eyes.. blue nose. Wide head and big dark shiny eyes. Aw. Damn it. Now I gotta go play with him.
My current staffy she is about 11years old this year. Hell of a trained dog wont run at the park not aggressive towards strangers unless told to be on guard. She is a calm soul walks nicely everywhere. Only problem she has is when it comes to a certain corner in my street she litteraly acts as if under a spell and wants to pull with all her strength into the damn road i always stop her pull back stop. But literally its something she cant shake. When are past that corner she is back to normal
Our 8 month old only barks at dogs on TV! No worries if the dog across the road is barking, or dogs barking at him at the dog park, but if a dog barks on the TV, he's glued to the screen, growling and barking, waiting for it to bark again!
This breed can be unreal my girl is half staffie half APBT she is 56 pounds 2 years old I tell people she is a mix breed half bull dozer half freight train Even after 5 blocks she will rip your shoulder out of the socket ,fearless judgemental loving at times
My 5 month old Staffy puppy loves her cat but too much, she is squashing him and has now got a lot larger. He loves her but he is suffering now as is getting pumbled all the time. What should I be doing
My dog Is staffordshire boerbull, she also had an anxiety attack when my daughter was hospitalized for 1 week and I had to be with my daughter, she didn't see me for the whole week. She started houling and crying, she never left me from the time I got back. Doesn't like me to leave her sight
I agree with all steps as a strictly staffy owner; both English and American. None of mine have dug holes. Maybe it's geographical. I'm Australian in Australia.
My staffie is 6 years old we have had her for about 5 months now, she’s absolutely the most kind loving dog and very loyal with us, she is however aggressive towards other dogs, give her her due it’s normally the gobby little dogs that start things with her, what’s the best thing to do with her?
My dog is half staffy and half catahoula. She’s the sweetest and playful girl with her family but very aggressive towards other dogs and doesn’t care for strangers. It’s sad that we can’t take her on weekend getaways because of her behavior
My staffybull only did those things as a puppy. They need to run around the yard every day. Mine could sleep all day, especially when it is lousy outside.
My first dog, no pulling on the lead, destructive behavior - no, digging - yes , jumping - on people if not supervised, barking - no, not inside, he barks on demand, or to alert a stranger outside.
Pulling on the leash ... ugh! What does 'turn aside' mean? Go in the opposite direction? I had watched some videos on that and got him 'more reasonable' ... however he constantly was 'creeping' ... I stressed myself out with my own ocpd/neurodivergent brain and actually gave up :( ... we walk for potty breaks around the yard only now. We've done that about a year. He's been with me two years nearly. He is my third Staffy - I started with a female (she was evidently simpler to get to walk not pull - or I got older and not as resilient), and she has been my son's dog since he graduated h.s. My pit-lab mix, the love of my life in canine version, passed 2 years ago. Every single day I talk with him and in my mind's eye, I pet him and hug him, he is physically 'here with me still'. I suppose the Lab in him, being more easy-going he didn't challenge me after training him. He wasn't perfect, but he was 'good' (at our walks, not pulling). That also happened over a few years time. All of my doogos have been rescues. It's on me, not them - to make our relationship work/get them where we need them to be to enjoy one another. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. 🕊 🫶 💪 🪷
Don't breed or buy whilst shelter dogs die. I've rescued a few Staffies and staffie X..they are always my faves. Absolute best dogs in the world are bully breeds. ☺
I rescue them too, had one for 12 years and then when she past away I homed a staffy x and had him 8 years from a pup. Not sure what he's crossed with but looks similar to a boxer. He's called Stan my man 😀
@@scandalousrocker2650 that literally makes no sense. Loads of people BUY bred staffies and then give them up = which makes them a rescue. Staffies come in all shapes and sizes. I didnt know we had to be so specific too. Staffy X still have all the full staffy characteristics. Just like people who think they're full british 😄 usually a mixed bag. Its bloody normal. Diversity is cool. Erase the word mongrel. No dog is lesser than for being mixed. Just like people!! Staffy is more an umbrella term atm. Let people love staffies, crossed with others or not 🙂
@@scandalousrocker2650 i honestly can't believe there are still breed snobs. I thought that was a 90's thing. If you pay for animals its somehow more superior? Nah animals aren't accessories to make you look better and feel cooler. They are individuals who all deserve love no matter the breed. I rather rescue an animal languishing in kennels or gona be put to death rather than put money in some selfish greedy exploitative breeder's pocket. Thousands of staffies were given up years ago, thousands pts as no one wanted them. Because people are too shallow and rather go buy a new puppy. Its also not true that old dogs are disposable and can't learn. I adopted aggressive seniors who hadnt been socialised and they soon chilled out with the right training 🖤🐶
@@bunnyliberationfront haha very true. Staffy x's do look very similar and some look the same and even act the same and come in different colors and sizes. All my siblings an niece's an nephews have rescue staffys which are full and x's. There's so many unwanted staffys it's surprising because they are good family dogs with the right owners.
Doesn't sound at all like my staffy. She is the calmest, but still playful, most loving, quiet and we'll behaved dog. With enough focus on the right training right from the beginning you'll have the best dog.
I have three staffy x mastiff. mum and two sons. the problems I have are mainly barking and teaching my female (mum) to not hurt her puppies as she has hurt them a few times as I had to intervene.
Mine staffys didn't destroy things (except for some her own toys) unless I give her something to play with also barks rarely only if needed also never seen them digging or jumping over a fence I dont even have a fence and she knows her border and didn't go to neighbour's or anywhere behind our garden she is train like a soldier lol.... So don't agree with this but they really pull on the lead and jumping with exciting on anyone visiting our house etc. But staffies are so funny and loyal so for me that's already forgiven😜
Oddly, mine (half AmStaff half pibull terrier according to DNA testing) never makes any kind of audible noise. She 'can' bark, so it's not a mute or voice box thing. I suspect rough treatment from her "original" owner as she was found tied to a tree abandoned at 3.5 months old. She's a really good dog, very smart. Absolutely no aggression in her at all, she won't even defend herself among other dogs.
I Have a cross Staffordshire American bull, great little dog, he's 20 weeks old now and has this aggressive excited thing of jumping at all people and other dogs, of course most dogs see this as an attack so not good. Will he change as he gets older? We have had Rotties before this staff and nor had this problem.
The biggest change is that you will be giving up most privacy and personal space. If you don't have any problem with that then a Staffy is the dog for you. And they usually get along well with cats.
Our boy is very vocal. I love it when he talks, but really dislike it when he barks. You can feel the concrete floor vibrate when he barks really loud and you can feel your ear drum vibrating - hard to believe swuch a small creature can generate that level of noise.
Hi I acquired a staffy 3 months ago he is 6 months now, I learned he was taken from his mother at 6 weeks, so is there gonna be issues and what can I do for Blu, to help him to know right from wrong? Please help
This is 100% English Staffies. Don't wanna play fetch? Bark. Don't wanna give them attention? Dig outside. Friends come over? Jump to greet them. Wanna go for a walk? They'll take you for a walk. Best dog I've ever had no bar.

Staffies are so so amazing. Love them
Everything on this video is spot on we’ve had 4 Staffies now, our biggest issue at the minute is barking if she goes in back garden it’s only a matter of time before she starts
I have a staffy right now you are very right when you say that they love t chew when I left her alone she chewed the tv stand and the carpet.
Thank you for the love❤️
How did you work aggression out of him. I am 16 years old and me and my father recently adopted a really sweet and loving senior Staffordshire bull terrier. He is a softie and is like a teddy bear to all human life. Everything is great about him except that when we meet other dogs on walks he sometimes starts softly whining and then starts making himself big and tries to be dominant. Sometimes he does it without the whining. He is great with my uncles Labrador retriever but they have been together now a few times. Any tips? I’d really appreciate some since I can’t find anything online about how to desensitize senior Staffies.
I remember my little boy when I was a kid crying all morning, waking up to him at the end of my bed. So so so loving it’s crazy
Am adopting a 7 yr old rescue staffy so I look forward to watching more on your channel
You don't rescue breeds you purchase them. You rescue mutts that have zero value.
Get ready to fall in love.

❤❤
I guess we'll find out when we go 😁
I got my staffie mix a puppy last week. she keeps him amused! He's very strong but puppy is
Feisty which helps alot
I’ve got 2 staffies, and I couldn’t agree more with every thing in this video, especially the chewing
I am soo glad to learn that we are all together in this 😁☺️…i live with my Staffy and he is everything you mentioned. SUCH A HELPFUL VIDEO 🙏🏾
My staffy is the laziest sweetest thing ever
They're lazy alright...lol

Never liked my staffy when l first got him now I can’t live without him he’s the best dog ever!
Oh I love my 4 month old staffy
But I started to freak out.
I love their subtle stubborn ways, they know what they want, and it shows how intelligent they are
👌no bad dogs, just bad owners
@@oztraliangrown8208 is the mantra of morons
He is a much calmer dog now and a lot less anxious.
i simply gave me tearing wall of death dog time to dog and be free and now she the most loving dog and every one wants to be her friend.
Wow, you encapsulated that perfectly. Thank you.
Staffies are lovely Dogs, My Sister & Neace have got one, there friendly & energetic Dogs.🐶😃
Best dogs ever!
Get a Doberman
C’mon man! If you really did the research, you’d choose a different breed
I have six Staffy and All of them are cute.
My staffy surprise me this year his just over 6 and he just started swimming he loves it and its good exercise he comes home and sleeps like a baby.
I have a real issue with my AmStaff Leah she really likes to pull like a freight train. Thankyou for the tips on curving the pulling on the lead 😊
Firm but fair is the best approach to get a well balanced companion.
The walking tips are spot on.
my staffy only barks at weird looking things on tv. andif a show with dogs on it comes on he wants to play with them.😂😂😂
I had one and she was the best dog I ever had.
My staffy girl is also 11 and of the same personality of yours ❤ they just the best breed❤
After resolving many issues with our rescue, such as on lead reactive and nervousness i’m left with a problem that has caught me by surprise and that is her stubbornness. If she wants to walk in a certain direction maybe different from where you intend to go she stops dead and is difficult to move on.
I’m lucky my staffy only barks when he’s arguing with me
😂😂😂😂 so true
i hear ya lol
i tried to get my staffi to bark it happens once every other month she might get verbal.
🤣🤣🤣
Bark back!
My biggest problem is that i don't have a staffy yet
Love your staffie and he'll adore you forever❤
My staffy girl is very stubborn but she is quite well behaved unless someone doesn't know how to tell a dog to sit then she will jump up on a person. She always has things to chew on and it stops her chewing furniture and belongings.
My main problem has been her pulling for 3 and a half years but I haven't tried these tips for pulling. Sounds like that's what will work. Thank you.
Spot on. We are lucky we have a good boy
My little girl is great and I’m not an experienced dog owner. Odd video. These dogs are great
pulling on the leash used to be a major issue but i hired a trainer and now walking him can be quite pleasant
My staffy is the silliest, funny dog I have ever had. And I have 34 of various breeds.
One of my Staffadors kept jumping our 5 foot fence so I got a 6 foot fence installed and he just learned how to jump it too 🙃 My other Staffador almost talks of so vocal that he is he'll go out of his way to start an argument if he's bored
Stubborn f*cks...
But the best dawg 😁💕
lol my boy is the most stubborn ever
@@quanjarriusjackson8658 I dunno...mine might give you a run for your money lol
No problems with our staffie. She has been a really good girl for over 9 years now.
I have a beautiful staffy cross with something nutts she is amazing in everyway but thinks everyone that comes to the front door want to kill me 😂😂 but outside the door it's her best friend 😅 she is 9 months old so plenty of time to train her and a long life ahead hopefully 💕
My dog is a Staffy and Puggle mix so I agree
My staffy pulls on lead but I resuced her n she was year old. She's a great loving dog, but she does act be4 thnkihlng. I can walk her without leash in my yard tho. Such a happy dog love her
My Staffy is so laid back and only barks when she wants something and as for stubborn yes definitely.
Brilliant video as usual and very sound advice.
Great dogs. Adopted, Great in the lead, house/crate trained, basic training. You do need to be a Responsible owner. Watch around other animals. Big dog in a
Smaller package but solid
One of my favourite dogs
I want a staffy puppy BADLY 🐕
😂😂
Pulling on the lead, ill implement some of the recommended solutions in your vudeo ty
My staffybull only did those things as a puppy. They need to run around the yard every day. Mine could sleep all day, especially when it is lousy outside.
Love my staffy ! Got a fun video of him on my channel in my shorts
My staffy is perfectly trained sits on Comand and will not move until told also very protective of me in particular.
He's called Stan my man 😀
If you rescue a Stafford, you most likely won’t get true breed etc.. most cross this, cross that, basically a mongeral..
The problem I have with my Staffy (rex) is he trying to run out of the gate
Doesn't sound at all like my staffy. She is the calmest, but still playful, most loving, quiet and we'll behaved dog. With enough focus on the right training right from the beginning you'll have the best dog.
But can she be left at home alone for a long time?
The only thing still happening is pulling. But we're working on it
I have three staffy x mastiff. mum and two sons. the problems I have are mainly barking and teaching my female (mum) to not hurt her puppies as she has hurt them a few times as I had to intervene.
My staff could get over our 6ft garden fence easily even when she was getting on a bit
Mu staffy doesn't like to be left alone hes clingy lol 😆 thays so true and so so much energy
they also hate bridges, never seen a staff not almost collapse while crossing
Ha! This was definitely true with our Runa as a puppy - she would do like an army crawl over them. Both our Staffs are okay with bridges now though.
1. Pulling on the lead
2. Destructive behaviour
3. Staffy digging
4. Staffy jumping
5. Staffy barking
Our boy is very vocal. I love it when he talks, but really dislike it when he barks. You can feel the concrete floor vibrate when he barks really loud and you can feel your ear drum vibrating - hard to believe swuch a small creature can generate that level of noise.
My boy rarely barks, but when he does it’s a big boy bark. When his shepher girl friend barks, he will howl. Very loud a really funny.
Love this chanell
And I have one American stuffy, and five blue English stuffys
Hi I acquired a staffy 3 months ago he is 6 months now, I learned he was taken from his mother at 6 weeks, so is there gonna be issues and what can I do for Blu, to help him to know right from wrong? Please help
Never had a issue with them digging or barking. They used to pull for couple hundred yards then stopped.
What if you go to work say 9am to 2pm mon to Friday will that be ok with a staffy around?
This is 100% English Staffies. Don't wanna play fetch? Bark. Don't wanna give them attention? Dig outside. Friends come over? Jump to greet them. Wanna go for a walk? They'll take you for a walk. Best dog I've ever had no bar.
