  • Bootleg Metra is getting some attention in this video for sure.
All footage has been taken between 2020 and 2021. Around the time Star Train F40PH's were being upgraded and the Gallery Cars were being replaced.
Since they recently acquired some more hand-me-downs from Metra with "new" CBQ Budd Coaches which replaced the original Metra Pullman coaches that Star Train started with in the 2000s. The F40's also received a substantial rebuild along with a new paint job to match the WeGo branding that Nashville has since used on its bus lines. Yet it still manages to make Orlando's Sunrail look better. Love for the Star Train is still pretty nonexistent since the pandemic sliced its ridership by more than half.
Hopefully if Amtrak can get decent equipment and cut down all the red tape and legal drama CSX will inevitably throw at them (if the Gulf Service is any foreshadowing on how easy Amtrak can get any new services into action), maybe Nashville can start to see how much clearer roads can be if some of the traffic actually goes to a train station than directly into the city. As someone who's driven in it, yes. Nashville does have traffic problems.

@@vladimirsekiris4994 well this is the worst commuter railroad in the country so it'd be unfair to base ALL trains on this one railroad.
