Very late but I finally played it just last week. I did, however, watch pewdiepie play it years ago. Easily one of my favorite games, and probably the best horror game ever made, dare I say it.

Out of all parts of Amnesia TDD, this is in my opinion the scariest, along with the Choir: Main Hall. As scary and great as I thought Outlast is, this game is a nest level masterclass in horror
I don't know about you but I didn't play the seem way they did. I played very carefully, I did play with darkness and hiding, I was smarter in my gameplay than some of them and it was kinda upseting me watching them play x)
