I personally wouldn't even want to catch a critically endangered species such as the Goliath but glad these are being released. Amazing that they can live up to 100 years old (obviously a greater chance without human interference). Have you noticed the numbers increasing from your experience?
I think they aren't as endangered as they say. those things are literally everywhere. they need strict restrictions on them though because they are super aggressive and eat everything. takes no time to fish them out.
