Oh that was really fun! I love the goldfish. Love them. I agree that the green water takes away some of the enjoyment because of the limited visibility. But the pond has so much potential. And I REALLY love the backyard/garden. It is really coming along. One day, perhaps you can put a bench and table in there so you can hang out with a cup of tea and enjoy it all!! You are doing such a great job, Ryo!
The red and white fish is a Sarasa Comet (a long bodied with single fins that grow long and flowing) and your Shubunkin is an American/Japanese variety that looks very similar to a comet. There are other types of Shubunkin as well, London Shubunkin and the most rare variety a Bristol shubunkin. Hope this helps some. Can't help with the fancy style goldfish as when I had goldfish I had the common types/comets and regular fan tails.
Mine didn’t ate for months. They’re still alive as wel. I check daily on them. But your water is so green :0 Mine is still crystal clear. But I did water changes during winter too. Nice to see a video again!
I'm eagerly waiting for your complete fish room tour video ... Hope we will get it soon . Also from now on I will also love to see your garden updates .
Loving the updates! Can't wait to see what you do with the garden. Building up a wall around the goldfish pond with stones and masonry cement for grout would make that look really natural! The goldfish are gorgeous 😍
Channeling the Kamp Kenan vibe I see, only that Kenan gets a little too excited sometimes. 😄 Great to see the fishes doing well. Looking forward to how you transform the back garden. Keep up the good work Ryo! 😁
Hi ryo love your channel big fan hey I have a question do your goldfish eat your plants any problems I have a 700 liter stock tank pond it's the first time I'll put fish in it to eat the mosquitoes ,,and also your pond looks great all you need is more plants you can put iris and papyrus horsetail rush they will clean the water
Ryo San, Thank you for sharing an update on how your goldfish pond did through the winter. I had been wondering about them. I love goldfish and hope to create a pond about the same size. Did the sponge filter keep the water from freezing over the surface?
Greetings from NW Ohio!! I just watched Corey from Aquarium Co-op and the live stream he did from the store a couple of nights ago. He gave you a well deserved shout out. Love what you are doing. Keep it up and making awesome content to show it off!!
Yes, they do fine. The only issue you might find is that they might get outcompeted for food by comets (or other fish) as they are quite clumsy and slow. That is a real danger. If you are only keeping orandas and maybe some ranchus, that would work well.

Thank you so much 🙏
Above ground pond in winter, must have been supercold
Can't wait for when the emersed farms go back to flourishing!
Thanks, me too :)
Nice to see the goldfish again thanks. Maybe you could put some of the larger rice fish in there too?
Yeah, maybe. Some will end up as snacks for the goldfish though 🥲
Wow finally you update your goldfish pond..i miss it
7:05 - Calico Shubunkin
I love outdoor stock ponds - a really nice video my friend.
Do a collab with Kemp Kenan. Even better, visit Kenan.
Feel like an in ground pond upgrade should come in the future :) with a little waterfall and some nice stone and plants around.
Hey hey, don't put more fish in there. 4 is plenty for that size.

wow! i am a huge fan of kamp kenan. good to hear you know him too.
They need more space to swim.filter the water to clean ,is a lot of algae.

You should not let it rain inside of your pond rainwater can be Toxic
Ryo,get some Red Cap Oranda if you can get your hands on some and if they can survive outside really well.
That water looks gross you should have a filter in there
I think you need to start doing some research
That green water is why there so healthy
Thanks for the update fish look very healthy ... the green water is great for them but not so good for us!
Thank you and yes!! Exactly right about the green water :)
Thanks for the pond and backyard update! Looks good, but can’t wait to see the greenhouse!
Your beautiful goldfish look plump and ready for Spring! That is a very nice pond- and I appreciate the green water!!
Put some koi in it
Finally an update! Happy to see the fishes are doing welll. An addition of fishes would make the pond much better.
Yeah! I hope to add more soon! I also hope to make the pond clearer so we can view them better 😅

I've had Shubunkins and comets before, and yet I'm still unsure if those 2 were just chubby or another type.
Shubunkins. Maybe make a box filter for it.
Instead of a greenhouse you could do a cold frame on the balcony where your plants are now and dig a real pond in the garden.

I think you should upgrade the filtration
I was actually thinking I should do 0 filtration 🙂
our pond are the same lol. but green water is the best for goldfish..
As far as I know, Shubunkin refers to the color and Comet belongs to the elongated fins. So both fish are Comets.
Regards from Germany
No
They're all shubunkins and have translucent scales and the multicolours
Thanks for the update on the goldfish. I hope you get some more 😁
First nice😁
I had no idea orandas could survive outside, especially winter
