Been following you for a while now, and I've done a tutorial or two. Just wanted to express my gratitude- I've been experimenting with this program once in a blue moon for years and years. I remember when I first picked it up it terrified me; it was by far the most complex software I had ever used at the time (junior high). So now that it's all starting to come together and I can actually create things without using any tutorials... Well let's just say words cannot express the immense satisfaction derived from this. Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to drop some feedback for you since I found this today, totally made my day! Keep up the good work! I will be checking it all out!

Can I hug your brain, please? I love your, ehm, creative use of language, especially your naming convention with random CAPITALS! And yes, yes I would like more character animation stuff. Can I get more stuff with characters?

Hey Matt, first off my hats off to you. I graduated a Digital Media program last year and one of the things I've always hated was rigging characters. I find your tutorials simply amazing and you do a great job, I'm always learning new techniques and I've learned a lot off you so far. Maybe one thing I can offer in return is I notice you're always resizing windows to mess around or show us. Why not make use of the ~ which will maximize the window you're hovering over :) Cheers bud, keep up the good work!

Hi All... As usuall An amazing Tutorial!!
as i got sickof clicking all single pins to rename them i have used the plug in called leems animation tools Pin to Parent function.. so any or all pions will be replaced with null objects and we dont have to go back and rename anything and those buggers :) the new (null object) replacements got the Parent name of where the pins were.. then if i like i still gave those new null objects names as neck, chest, etc.. from that point i am again following every step you are showing us here as this is the best body control i have tried out so far.. Thank You as always countless times, Cheers.

Really nice! Very helpful. OH BTW instead of selecting the puppet point then creating a bone for each, just select the part their all connected to (e.g L_ARM) and select Bone. It will automatically add a bone for each puppet.

Great tutorial! Very helpful. The version you're working with is a little different than version 15 but the tutorial still helps immensely. Expanding on your idea of using the "Ground" controller to control both feet at the same time, adding a "Hands" controller to control both hands at the same time comes in handy as well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    1. Global controller lets you scale down but not up, yes?
    2. If you select the layer itself that contains your pins and click bone, it'll bone all pins at once.

this tutorial is awesome. thanks! but you forgot something very important. You must create a crontol for the hips (is where all the animation stars), and conect the chest control to the hips control, because when you´re walking you move the hips first and then the rest of the body follow it. saludos!
