Dude your tutorials are absolutely brilliant. In less than 5 days i have a bunch of tricks in my bag and am starting to appreciate how endless the possibilities are thanks to you. You're freaking hilarious with your dead-pan remarks all throughout the vids too!!
I love this tutorial! You don't realy lose time explaining things but u describe what ur doing perfectly, so we can always go after something we wanna focus on. I love it!
Your Videos are really cool. Im a self learned motion graphics artist and lately I've been needing videos like this to stir the pot of my creativity. I love that you basically run through everything and don't waste time explaining things.
Hey Matt, Just wanted to thank you for these tutorials. I'm a shooter who's had to jump into the deep end of the pool with AE, and your tutorials are in the top on the internet. You do a great job of detailing what you are doing while keeping the pace from becoming too slow. Well done, sir. Stephan
i do nothing these days but browsing your channel man ! you are so friendly and delivering the information by a very awesome way .. Thank you for your effort and keep it amazing : )
You say sorry for the video length so many times :D there is absolutely no reason for that! We love to listen to you so it can never be long enough! thx so much for all your amazing tutorials!
I love your trees! Those are the best trees I've ever seen. If only I owned an island with a lake and a mountain I would put those trees all over the island!
Another great tip! Giving me some ideas for videos already. And this is what a good teacher does! Inspire students and equip them with tools so they can be creative! Also totally digging the minimalist style you have for all your tutorials.
Hi Matt, your tutorials are super fun and easy to follow. I kept laughing when i was watching this submit. lol those tree look awesome, we all love them. Thank you for doing these wonderful tutorials every week. Looking forward for future submits :))
Excellent!!! I have just discovered the world of AE and have been really struggling as most tutorials are hard to follow for beginners or assume too much. I was getting really frustrated because this stuff usually comes quick to me and it wasn't...until I followed your tutorial! Thanks for your energy and clear instruction!
I love your videos - thank you so much for making them! I am only just starting out in After effects, and yet thanks to you and a few other youtubers I am managing to make some really cool videos for work. You work like a professional - with all of your keyboard shortcuts etc. and yet you keep the content simple but engaging all the way through. I love the way you explain what you're doing so that it is possible to start applying you advice in other areas as well :) I think I might have to start making some of my own stuff in my free time at some point soon. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
You have absolutely saved my ass with this, I have this big school assignment I have due in 2 days and this was exactly the technique I was looking for, so thank you! Even though you talk a bit fast sometimes, it's a really clear tutorial! :D
Great as always! Personally, I like to stay away from lights in AfterEffects and would have put a color overlay on the shadowed map-flaps. That would take longer though, which I know you dislike.
Honestly, I like to be in full control of my work. If you watch closely in your example video. The light causes some of your objects to flicker a little bit. Using color overlays would take more clicks but would give, in my opinion, a more solid product.
Amazing as usual 😄 , but please if you have time can you show us how to use the camera in after effects you know like navigating the motions and go between them , thanks again 😉
I'm really diggin your tutorials! I gotta question (not really about this tut) but I love the motion you get with the speed graph in AE (no longer afraid of it) is there an equivalent in C4D? Thanks!
Hiii! I fall in love with Ae thanks to your tutorials :) . I have a question, what kind of computer and laptop you recommend me for this? As soon as I put my layers in 3D my macbook collapsed...
Hey. Thanks for posting great tutorials. I have a cheeky question, if I may. What would be the best way to animate a balloon bursting into pieces? Would you go to animate each particle bit by bit or use the shatter effects in AE? Any advice would be awesome. Thanks!
Loved the video... really easy to learn! Can u just tell me what kind if "sorcery" you use to have that edge wiggle look on overall look of the animation! Thanks
Been a subscriber for a while, and I have to say your stuff is actually entertaining as well as educational! Great voicing, too... Keep going! I am sorry if this has been asked before, because it probably was... But, what is your mac machine setup?
was scrolling through your channel. Big up! I love the kept simple AE tutorials. motion graphics and stuff - exactly what I was looking for. I'd really love to know your story. Do you have a blog or something? What is your career/job history?
I started with a google page. home | oneeachdaydownloads not too serious but it does the trick. It's kinda easy to learn. Of course it does, Thanks:) I find it interesting to see how others got into the field. I'm 22 and still don't quite know what I wanna do for a living. Do you have some sort of portfolio though?
You glossed over the error in alignment at 37:50... I was able to solve this by resetting the Y orientation of the Map Graphics layers to 0 (so that it aligns perfectly with its parent) Also at 36:00 there's a much simpler way to split the layers at a certain time... just press Cmd-Shift-D :)
I can't remember how I found your channel, but I'm sure glad I did The combination of education and humor is always great! :D Btw: where do you get the music for your animations? Like this island-paradise-cruise-ship-and-stuff melodie that is playing when you demonstrate the video you made. Because I find it hard to find such good melodies for free...
Hello, Quick question. at 5:50 you were able to change the square into a triangle. I am having trouble with it. When I grab the edges of my square I end up scaling the whole square instead. Was there a hot key that i needed to hit? Thanks. P.S. Love your videos!
Love your tutorials, easy to follow, very informative. Really great stuff. Also, couldn't help but notice about the double k in your last name. Any Finnish connections there? Anyway, looking forward to new videos! :)
Thanks a lot for your great tutorials. I have a problem with the rotationY at minute 19.30 of the video. When I move the path the lenght grows during the rotation (seems stretched). What can I do to solve this problem. I follow exactly your instructions. Sorry for may bad english.... Silvia

But I have said I am envious of your quick work flow in the past, so I guess this is a little hipocritical.
