It was really helpful getting the foundation down. It was good you kept in all the mistakes, It's what happens, we need all that problem solving/trial and error when we do make these animations.

I've started learning after effects as a graphic design and several people recommended I try your videos. I've started from video 1. I'm sure your later videos are much better but I am still learning so much!

I'd never before managed to do anything in this software and I was so so happy when I created a bouncing ball, in all honesty. Thank you, I'll probably just look at all your tutorials during this vacation. This was just so helpful.

These are great man, I've been heavily into after effects for about 6 years or so. Never really been able to get a grasp on Motion Graphics! I'm more of a VFX and 3D kinda guy. These Summits...pause for effect....Are seriously something I've been looking for! They'll help me get into the actual workflow, even though I know after effects pretty well your workflow is completely different. Really appreciate these videos man!

  • @monstroid

  • @willblank108
    @willblank108 10 лет назад +2

Really fantastic. You have a great visual style too! I find it frustrating when I watch other video tutorials about after effects/design programs but the examples from the instructor lack design sense or a pleasing aesthetic. I've noticed throughout your videos that the color palettes you choose and your animation sense is really amazing/beautiful. Thanks for making these!

Please don't apologize for creating beginner videos. Especially well explained beginner videos. Everyone starts somewhere. Some of this was repeat for me but repeat that I needed. It simply made it easier for me to follow as opposed to some others because I am somewhat familiar with AE. Keep it up.

I saw summit 26 and this one and the only thing that should change is that you should stop apologizing. You lessons are great and I don't even feel the 30...40...60 minutos passing! Matt, let me say this: you're amazing!
I'm not a beginner in Ae but not a pro either, I was afraid of lenght of video when I saw your channel a month ago. Even so there was something that keep saying me "go see that" and now I'm glad that I did.
I quit a free-earned Law College to start study Graph Design and Motion Design so thank you for this project, the idea of "knowledge must be for everyone" seduce me a lot because I have the same though and I always help that one that I can.
Again, thanks for teach me that there's a new world in this thing called MOTION DESIGN!

And thanks a lot, you helped me a ton with this video

Thanks, man, started out with AE and premiere the last few days, but i gotta admit, although they videos are a bit lenghty, it's easy to follow and you're pretty informative about what things do. There are other tutorials that are like, "click this, do that, et voila" and I had no idea what I was doing, it didn't had that "learn factor", yours does. I actually get what the things are used for and I'm not simply copying your inputs. You've got a new sub and I'm definitly gonna check out all these tutorials the coming weeks when it comes to Ae or Pr. Really looking forwards what your other videos have to offer :D

I wanted to take the time to say thank you.
As "horrible" as you think this tutorial was, it was actually quite the opposite.
I am having to refamiliarize with this program after not touching it for almost 2 years.
This was one of the first lessons taught in class and was a BEAUTIFUL refresher.
I have subscribed to your videos and will be practicing with you... for sure!
Its so hard to find and After Effects tutorial where there are good explanations, and the fact that you took the time to go through all the tools was a special treat.
The only problem I ran into was, for some reason, my square layer screwed up and it wouldn't accept the rounded corners. I had to delete it and restart that layer... but that had nothing to do with your tutorial and everything to do with the program trying to give me attitude.
Thank you for your time and explanation. I'll be after effecting it with you from now on!
