    I have a 2 stage Campbell Hausfeld 60 gallon compressor myself. Me & my little brother unloaded it from my truck by ourselves and I used a heavy duty dolly to wheel it into the garage on it's pallet. I believe the Kobalt is made by C/H so they're pretty much the same unit with a different paint job. Looking forward to getting it off the pallet, bolted to the floor and hooked up. I got mine at a scratch & dent sale. The grill over the belts and pulleys was bent a little bit so I just removed it entirely. I don't have any small kids or anyone else around foolish enough to stick their hand in there while it's powered anyhow. My old garage has a fuse box and it's fuses are all in use so I'm going to wire in a fused cut off switch box from the mains to it. The C/H vid for compressors said not to use a dryer cord so I bought about 10 ft. of Southwire 10-awg-3 black power cord from lowe's.

      Thanks for your comment. I guess I’ll research more on the dryer cord to see if I should use it or not. I thought the wire size was that the manual said it needed. You should check out my newest video for the on off switch I installed for it

      @@StewartMotoring Here's the video by C/H I was referencing regarding the dryer cord. It's right around 1:20 where they say not to use a dryer cord, but they never actually specify why. ruclips.net/video/iWtNdr_-7Iw/видео.html

    The fun starts at 3:00. The little lady and me almost lost it uploading it from my truck. Very top heavy. Should have had it delivered.

    I wonder why they stopped making these two stage Kobalts?

      Same, I picked up a year before they went on clearance. Everyone was scooping them up for 200 bucks it was crazy

    Does your belt guard vibrate a lot? I just bought one and the belt guard wobbles back and fourth like crazy.

      I don’t think so. I may have added a zip tie or two to it because it was rattling a bit. But didn’t do anything that concerned me

    I have been looking at one of these for the shop. Most of the time it will just air tires, but it also will run air tool, sanders and I am planning on painting my car. Can anybody give me some advise on this? Will it do what I want?

      Danny McBride should be plenty for an at home shop. That’s exactly what I’m using it for

    What’s the model number on this compressor? My local Lowe’s only sells the 230v with 6.9 scfm at 175psi. I need the higher cfm.

    • @StewartMotoring
      @StewartMotoring  4 года назад

      You sparked my interest to research this further. I talked to Lowe’s support and they said their listing is incorrect. It is actually 11.5scfm not 6.9. They will be updating their listing. Unsure when but that’s what they said.

    Tank size doesn't mean much. CFM is what matters.

      @@asasial1977 I know he said size matters, but 12 is gigantic. Kind of a personal question to ask, at any rate.
