It's Kevin Max, formally of DC Talk. The original member/singer, Mark Stuart, is playing the tambourine. He's still involved w/ the band after having vocal cord issues.
For some reason...I always thought that even though Kevin was the most talented member, he always came off as the "third guy in DC Talk." So glad to finally see him as frontman for another great group from my youth. Still one of the best voices in all of music!
I agree. AA went down the stream with all the other praise and worship bands. Regardless, he still left the band. Love his work in DCT. I can’t stomach his solo stuff. Great voice but his lyrics are too out there for me.
I'm just browsing around, and just wanted to drop in and write... Let's all listen to the music and praise God for he is Worthy of our Praise. God Bless you all! :)
Ive prayed for kevin max to get back into christian music particularly a band . Hes so perfect in audio a i remember an old cd i had of theres with him on the front cover the album with "big house" wayyy back when . I dont know if he knows how awesome his voice is . Kevin you are so relatable and awesome i missed you and am so glad you are back !! Have been a fan for around 20 years
No one ever did the things you guys did. UK2, Stones, Beatles, Who. . never did things like you did or do. You are just as talented without a doubt. Its more than a performance. Its much more to save the least of these. That is what makes you completely outstanding.
Love how Mark's not too cool to chill out and help in any way God can use him. It's nice to have had childhood heroes who were worthy of being seen as such.
I'm so glad to see that Mark Stuart is so involved in the band's music, from playing tambourine for acoustic songs to offering a line or two on "King of the Comebacks." :)
Love the concentration and focus on Kevin's face -- a consummate musician. AudioA is back! Hope the new crew continue to cover the old tunes -- I'd love to hear K-Max's interpretation.
Its too awesome for the many DC TALK fans to hear Kevin on the radio again. Its good Audio A change their sound to match his voice. Favorite song right now.
Aside form Mark--I just don't think AA could have happened again with any frontman other than KMax. This is the perfect combo-- and very comforting/exciting/inspiring to see Mark involved in so much. Ready to hear more from these guys for years to come.
Correct - Kevin Max {Smith}. Mark Stuart, the original AA vocalist, is here playing tambourine. He's had vocal cord issues and can no longer sing but is still a major part of the band and their ministry.
I was nervous when I found out kmax was going to take marks spot as the lead singer but he brings a new sound to audioA and I ANSI happy to see mark still is a big part of it! God bless these guys!
2) I was a little confused why Audio A was still making stuff, because they announced retirement years ago to rest the voice of the lead singer and focus on their orphanage in Hati! The Hands and Feet prodject. Its funny how Kevin Max helps with Audio A and Micheal Tate with the Newboys. Of course Toby has his own amazing gig. These all being the 3 men that comprise DC Talk, having infiltrated some of be most blessed names in Christian music.
I clicked on this song because Audio A has long been a favorite band. I looked at the name to double check it was them because something seemed off. (I was only listening not watching). I was sure it was not DC Talk for surely there would have been a mention of it in the title, for they are so iconic. It made little sense why Kevin Max would make an appearance with out mention in the title. I am additionally familiar with Kevin Max's voice because of the CD, "Canticle of the Plains."
he didn’t necessarily quit. Kings and Queens was a pop/rock record, live they were a definitely rock group. Management wanted them to go in a worship direction and Kev didn’t feel like he fit the worship mode or that Audio Adrenaline is a worship band (which they shouldn’t be) so they parted ways.
Lifelight 2013 in South Dakota has AudioA and Newsboys playing in the same weekend, and Tobymac has a gap in his schedule during that time. dctalk reunion? :D
I'm glad they got Mark Stuart to sit in on percussion. I love Kevin Max and I loved Audio Adrenaline's first iteration. But as sad as it is to say, I'm glad this iteration didn't last. Audio A were a legitimately great alternative rock band back in the Bloom, Some Kind of Zombie, Underdog era. But when the band split up and reformed with K-Max as their singer, they became just a generic radio-friendly pop band, and when the next album came out, Sound of the Saints, it was basically just an Adam Agee solo record using the name, presumably for name recognition. The band on Kings and Queens and Sound of the Saints is really a pale imitation of the great band Audio Adrenaline used to be. (And that's not to say Kings and Queens is a bad album -- it's not. It's actually a pretty good album. It's just not Audio Adrenaline.)

That’s the way he wanted portrayed. He thinks he’s the David Bowie of Christian music. Fame will do strange things.

@@bentleyjames118 Kevin is so far from the Lord now though. He has strayed from the Truth and has accepted New Age theology. Sad😂
Kevin max has one of the best voices in Christian music❤❤❤
Kevin has always had one of the most distinct and great voices in music.
I'm just browsing around, and just wanted to drop in and write... Let's all listen to the music and praise God for he is Worthy of our Praise. God Bless you all! :)
Kevin Max has an amazing voice!

Audio Max/Kevin Adrenaline should've continued---I listened through K&Q last week after not listening to it for years: so much potential!
We become Kings & Queens when beome our humblest in our treatment of others. I love it!
No one ever did the things you guys did. UK2, Stones, Beatles, Who. . never did things like you did or do. You are just as talented without a doubt. Its more than a performance. Its much more to save the least of these. That is what makes you completely outstanding.
Ho father forgive me for my pride. Fix my eyes. Help me to fight for everything and never give up in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Love how Mark's not too cool to chill out and help in any way God can use him. It's nice to have had childhood heroes who were worthy of being seen as such.
God bless Audio Adrenaline band, crew, families, and KLOVE, Jesus speed to you all. Thoroughly enjoy this.
Kevin’s amazing voice 🙌🏼
praying for Mark, we want to hear your voice again as before

I absolutely love this song. So inspiring
Great voice, Superb song, Awesome God!
I love both a secular and non-secular band of the same title. (30 seconds to mars Kings and queens) Yet both have such a powerful message.
Uma banda muito 🔝 e o Kevin canta demais, muito concentrado

Awesome Acoustic!
THIS IS SO INCREDIBLE!"!!

I was nervous when I found out kmax was going to take marks spot as the lead singer but he brings a new sound to audioA and I ANSI happy to see mark still is a big part of it! God bless these guys!

Ew paul
I like when they went to Haite whenever it was.
This is my favorite

Nice vocals, dude
Is it just me but this song makes me just want to dance!
sounds as good as the record!
yes it is...
Love acoustic versions it seems more personal
YAY
Great voice. Sure wish he didn’t quit AA or DCT. KMax doesn’t really want to be part of the thing that’s made him. So talented too.
he didn’t necessarily quit. Kings and Queens was a pop/rock record, live they were a definitely rock group. Management wanted them to go in a worship direction and Kev didn’t feel like he fit the worship mode or that Audio Adrenaline is a worship band (which they shouldn’t be) so they parted ways.
Muito bom

@Arthur Hall and @Kyle Lester I agree
Браво
A live/ "unplugged" album would be awesome
What chord is Dave playing at 2:54? Awesome music, it would be so cool if there was a guitar tutorial by one of the band!
gotta like this! :D
I actually like this acoustic version better than the original!
Can't wait for a TobyMac , Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline tour.
