She's just awesome. Lyra is probably the most alluring charcter In all of literature and Dakota captures her spirit perfectly. It's very difficult to live up to the mental image readers form when reading a book, however, after seeing Dakota in the film I re-read the books and inserted her into my mental picture. It's a damn tragedy that the other two books didn't make it to the big screen. I think seeing her explore the romance with Will would have been amazing.
