I lived in southern California in the 90s. I can't think of any other band who's sound can immediately take me back to that magical place and time like Sublime.
Where in So Cal? I had the amazingly good fortune of going to high school in Huntington Beach - so just a hop, skip, and jump to Garden Grove, and Long Beach where Sublime is from.
I memorized the lyrics of this whole album as a teen. My dad would play it in the house when I was really young. How young? My dad got a call one day from my kindergarten that I was singing "pop a cap in Sancho and slap her down" in class. Was kicked out for the day. Dad was great about it, but worried about me singing it again, so he simply didn't play them again for about 5 years... but yeah, one of my earliest memories is hearing Sublime on our sound system :)
Dude me too I’m 20 and I grew up in a household of awesome music (three 6, Pantera, Sublime, Alice In Chains, and so much more) and sublime was my dads favorite band and I got suspended for singing smoke two joints 😂😂 my dad would listen to it in the morning while he smoked before work and I’d be waiting for the bus lmao. I took a Tenacious D album to school and wanted my teacher to play a song 😂😂
When my boys were little and going to a private Christian School, they got in trouble for singing Offspring lyrics . .. "Give it to me baby ..." I had to stop playing it in the car. ;(

"It's hard to keep my soul on the ground" 1st time this lyric resonated with me was when I was in high school (90's).. and it still has a place in my heart to this day. RIP Bradley, you are forever missed.

REGGAE MUSIC ON DA LOOSE
Just got this CD in the mail today! Idk where it went 20 years ago lol. I know every song and about to jam!!!
Man, seeing all these comments warms my heart. I remember when these guys first came out. They always opened for punk bands in so cal. The punks referred to them as that damn reggae band. I was at the party this song was based on. What an amazing time we all had and am still blessed to be on this scene
"It's hard to keep my soul on the ground"
1st time this lyric resonated with me was when I was in high school (90's).. and it still has a place in my heart to this day. RIP Bradley, you are forever missed.
Dad used to have this CD laying in the car when I was an older kid. I obviously ended up listening to it. I remember the clown with the syringe on it. One of the greatest bands to ever exist. RIP Bradley. I have listened to this song more times than I can remember, and all the others. Sublime is one of those bands that I just know every single song by heart because it touched me so much emotionally.
Same thanks to our dads for having great taste

I took this trip to Garden Grove, oh yeah...
Iconic.
The comments are legit. I grew up with my dad playing queen, iggy pop and the stooges, and many other great bands. Sublime was the music for us 80’s kids growing up in the 90’s. It warms my heart to read all the 90’s babies growing up bringing them joy and closeness with there families. Great music is timeless. Much love for sublime and that SoCal 90’s vibe
Words cannot express how much I love this song and how long I’ve been waiting for this
Good. Thank you
YES!!! AMAZING SONG! It brings back so many memories from my teen and young adult years!
They had so many amazing tracks! It’s a shame the radio will only play the well known.
Still love them! Legendary voice that can't be matched. You live on in our hearts 💕forever Still your biggest fan 23 years later😢
Sublime was my fathers favorite band and as many of the comments say, I also grew up with my earliest memories of music being sublime blasting in our house. I lost my father on new years eve, but when I miss him I just come here and feel his presence.🕊 ❤️
🥲
it magically made me feel 20 years younger
This band changed music for me forever. My favorite band of all time!!
2021, first time listening to this song (and Sublime in general) I’ve heard of the Santeria song which I didn’t know who sang it, but it plays on a bunch of karaoke nights, then today I heard Danny Mullen (RUclipsr) talk about Santeria by Sublime and was like oh I heard that song so I went to look it up and now I’ve been binging Sublime songs.
Sublimes music can cure the common cancer! Beautiful, bad ass, just the perfect everything. Man I wish Bradley was still here. Never forgotten!
My 11 year old daughter brought home a Sublime shirt for herself today. I’m so proud.
My shiiiizzzz in love the ultimate road-trip song!!!!!! Every time I leave the house in my car and go on a trip I play this out!!!! Lol
Smelt like Lou Dog inside the van.....Named our cat Lou Dog.

One of my all time favorite songs. Was one of the first sublime songs I fell in love with as a kid back in the 90s. YOURE A FOOL. DONT FUCK AROUND MY DOG is the best.
Wow guys , excellent job on this . I have been living in Bali the last few years but grew up in Garden Grove ! This gave me some nice memories and of course Sublime , my favorite cd which I bought for $1 at a thrift shop in LBC !!!! Thank you
I miss all my boys RIP from the 90s. We were the wildest . With the best music!
This seems like a salute to all the highly talented artisans that use their skills and passion as an expression. Big props to that. Brad is no exception. Rip 🙏
