This DLC was very intense and I loved every moment of it.
9:31 gets me hyped! You feel pressed for time as the asteroid hurdles ever closer to the alpha relay!

@@rodrigobasualto8057 The 17:33 segment is epic for sure, but the 13:32 is beautiful atmospheric music. For a piece that only lasts 30 seconds, it sticks in my mind to this day.

I always loved how there was a gap between “our” and “arrival”. Made it so much more sinister!

After thinking about it for a long time, I think its one of the best moments in the series.

This and LotSB two of the best for story of the DLCs. Leviathan is important for lore, but as far as storytelling goes I think those ME2 ones are superior.
+watchinginaz First time I played this dlc I was like "wow, this shit is escalating quickly" xD it really had to grow on me too. Still, the blast from the mass relay should have been enough to wipe out the Reaper fleet entering the system too. But it didn't. Lovely plothole
+kaasbarie I was wondering about that, too. Possibly they were coming in at FTL speed and would still have been some distance away? I suppose it would depend on how close you cut it, and whether the countdown timer is really to-the-second accurate or just an estimate in the end.
Yeah, it's an awesome little motif. Really fucking cool that they threw that in. And the rest of this suite is simply superb. It captures all the urgency and foreboding nature of the DLC.
I like how this track seems to reference Bring Down the Sky at some parts.
You can really hear the influence of Mass Effect 3 here and there in this soundtrack. The Beginning of the End indeed.....
I had to remind myself several times that this is me2 I'm playing in. The level design, the music, OH THE MUSIC is just...sexy, for a lack of a better word :D
"The Beginning of the end", except for the soundtrack, ME3 is a masterpiece in this.

18:00 don't know how it happened but there was a slow zoom in on Sheploo's face at that point and I knew he'd be forever my favourite protagonist to any game and story for the rest of my lifetime

This was the last dlc I ever got for the game, I had all the others except this one, and my god did this alter the story in a way that I liked. I heard from people its best to do this DLC AFTER finishing the suicide mission, never done that but heard its the best
It is absolutely the best way to finish Mass Effect 2

The start makes me confident to guess the Mars theme in ME3 was by Velasco and Dikician.
you are missing the song where after Kenson blows herself up with the grenade you have to run to the communication tower, adding that would make me very happy
This was an amazing dlc mission, certainly worth every penny as was the rest of the dlc for ME2. Bring Down the Sky for ME1 is just as great but this one was certainly more doom impending, since you are about to either run out of time before the Reaper Invasion, or just about to crash an asteroid right into a mass relay and die in the resulting blast. Still it was awesome. From Ashes dlc for ME3 is on par with all the dlc from ME2.
I was just thinking after me legendary that how twisted is it that in arrival Shepard blows up the batarian colony whereas in bring down the sky you could be the one to save the batarians from doing the same
I had a suspicion that when I entered the asteroid base that things were going to turn ugly and not be so straight forward. "Indoctrinated? no no... not at all."

Listen to Mars and some others. Trust me, Arrival is buried in there. And Suicide mission is a loose remix of Spectre Induction which is used in ME3 (The Fleet Arrives)

Citadel was easily the best DLC for the trilogy. I've put at least 6 hours into it. Well worth the price tag. The arena is fun as hell.

Citadel is great but I dlc that ties into the story like arrival and leviathan. Because lets face it arrival bridges the gap between me2&3 beautifully and leviathan sort of justifies the stupid god child. The citadel dlc is great for us all time me fans but it doesnt technically have any relevance.

Its level design was pretty neat, and had some great moments (fighting through waves while you're about to hit a mass relay). I agree with you on the choices, I think they wanted to test the waters with situations where you can't actually change the outcome (I feel they nailed it with Thessia in ME3). But it came off bad because of it being a DLC. I think Arrival was good, just not worth the price tag - like 'Omega'.

The music has been good in the series. This is no exception.

It was an okay DLC not necessarily the best aftermath to the epic Suicide Mission but it was good and entertaining. Just a bit braindead and a lack of actual choices and morality also not a fan of Shepard slaughtering 300 thousands of innocent Batarian's as if he and the Alliance didn't have enough bad reputation against them. Then BioWare adds mass murder into the mix. That being said the music is very, very excellent it's so atmospheric and ambient like. I never understand why Shepard didn't face trial for the actions he did here in Mass Effect 3 I feel like it was cut content or something. Kind of disappointing. There was literally no point to Dr. Amanda Kenson's character's existence other than her being an indoctrinated fool and stupid. Wave after wave of unnecessary fighting just to finally get her. 6/10. Felt a million times more heroic and accomplished after finishing Suicide Mission so much better. Better to do this DLC before the final mission.
