I always loved the scene with the Batwing. It shows you that Batman could leave at any point that he chose to. Proving once again that he's not trapped in an asylum full of murderous thugs, They are trapped in an asylum with him. Also, it's a shame he didn't show the joker changing position in the visitor center, which happens if you turn away and then back around again.
RIP Adam West. I literally watched his batman movie on netflix for the first time the night before this tragedy. Which when made the news that hit following this episode and that fact feel all the more unreal. Absolutely great person though. Great sense of humor, great take on the world. And you better believe im now going to get around to seeing that animated feature he recently did to reprise his role as batman
Same here. For me, though, the break in the illusion was realizing the loading circle was almost three times the size of how it normally displays on my monitor and I was like, "Wait, this is fake."

Oh how I've been looking for a YT channel exactily like this. The idea of glitching out of maps or getting a view that you aren't supposed to see always intrigued me. I did this a lot when I replayed Half-Life levels through G-mod. Amazing channel and amazing content.
The checkered pattern is the default texture/material that gets applied to any model and back facing polygons in unreal engine. It basically represents the UV space each model has and how uniform they are. Its particularly helpful when unwrapping a model (fitting a 3d model into a 2d space for texturing) and making sure no UVs are stretched or squashed.
It's because when you're playing the game you're immersed in the world and imagine there is actually a world out beyond the room you're in. To find it's just black openness is quite unsettling.
You missed one of the ones I discovered without using cheats. When Bane is chained up in the glass building (before it is revealed to be Bane) you can see his outline and skeleton using the batvision. However, if you go up right next to the glass and zoom in with the camera, you can clearly see it is actually a normal mental patient model in the place of Bane.
I really like watching the off-camera series because it gives me a good idea about how game developers actually develop and design these games. Thanks!
Same. I'm one of the subscribers who watches every episode, regardless of the game, just because I love the concept of boundary breaking games. It helps that Shesez's way of guiding viewers through the episodes and explaining things in simple ways without being condescending is coupled with his rather pleasant voice to make for a very enjoyable show.
You should do some old playstation platformer games!. I think Jak and daxter would interesting with its open world!! or ratchet and clank cuz of all the different planets!!!
Wow this brings back so many memories! Arkham Asylum was the first video game I ever bought with my own money and I got it only about s year after it came out. I helped clean my Grandma’s garage for $20 and bought the game on sale for $17 at GameStop. I was only 7 at the time but I still go back to that game every few years just to experience it again.
2:22 These cells are used in this game, they are just used though on a monitor when you have your first fight with the Blackgate prisoners after Joker escapes from the cop.
Backface culling actually refers to how a face is rendered! When looking at the back of the buildings, the faces are most likely not there because the artist chose to remove them. Backface would refer to if you fly inside the building and look outward, to the city for example - you're able to look through it, this is because the back-side (reverse of the face's normal) of the face isn't rendered! Absolutely love this series, it's so awesome as a game dev to see what excites players about things they find when navigating the game outside it's intended purpose :) Keep up the great work, Shesez! :D
I’ve never seen a video on this channel before, and this is so fucking cool. Especially because this is one of, if not my very favorite video game of all time, so seeing the behind the scenes of such a legendary game is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Sensational work.
that single checkered cube, is something I would call a "code deposit" or "Trigger dump", basically it's when devs don't know on what object or asset to put the code on so they just make a simple object for all the "Meta" code, like sound playback on que, or object placement on timer, just those little things that needs an active activation. :D
In that first room with enemies you should check those electrified doors before and after the enemies are let out of their cells. My guess is the field in front of the door moves from the cells in the main room to the ones in the inaccessible room as the enemies are released.
I don't know if this has already been mentioned (in the comments and/or a later video), and I'm four years late (started playing the game again and it made me want to watch some videos), but the reason they used Quinn's model instead of Gordon's is likely because Gordon doesn't have a skeleton, for Detective Mode. Harley's model does have a skeleton, and it was already in the model list while making the scene, so a simple copy-paste was all that was necessary.
It seems like you missed a major point. The cut-scene where Joker escapes into the Extreme Isolation area. Especially considering that's an area you never get to visit in the game.
This might sound kinda weird, but..... these videos are pretty fascinating... all those things that are hapenning arround you and you dont even know about it.... all those clever things and stuff... amazing, really
I've seen quite a few of your boundarie break episodes and it's great!!love seeing what's beyond the players view.i know this sounds kinda goofie but I think it be fun if you did a boundarie break of yourself in your own backdrop via 3D mabey with blender or unity or something like where you freeze it while your talking at the end or beginning of your video and then go through your studio and into the world and around where we can't see that be fun haha.just an idea anyway great work sir!:)🙌🙌🙂👌💯

GamingWithJumbo It’s a grim dark game. It’s supposed to be that way.

Then turn your screen brightness up a bit
Not as dark as Arkham City and Arkham Knight. You heard right. Arkham City is dark.

Nick Arundel's soundtrack for the entire Arkham series might be the greatest score for a video game ever. He's an amazing composer!
That's a pretty bold claim, most video games have truly incredible scoring so there's certainly a lot of competition.
