Tks Jamie for another report on the motoGP. Watched the Portugal race, 1st one I've watched for quite a few years, and was hooked straight away. I agree totally with the Bagnala and Marquez incident, avoidable. Will also be keeping an eye on Acosta, he looks the real deal. Thanks for getting me back to watching this sport.

Agree with your take on the incident with Bagnaia and Marquez. Racing incident but largely, Bagnaia’s fault.

Acosta got a little lucky because the conditions were good so the tires didn't degrade so much. Plus Maverick experienced some Aprilia reliability issues when it looked like he might catch Martin. However Acosta's pass on Bagnaia was the best of the season so far. Very impressive.

Yeah, definitely impressive, more of those overtakes to come this season I feel.

I like these concise summaries. Sadly, I don't have time to watch entire races.

I was really angry with Marquez, blaming him for creating the collision that took out both riders. After hearing your point of view about that corner having multiple lines, I have to reconsider. In the heat of the battle both riders at some point refused to concede the position when their lines ultimately converged. In defense of Bagnaia; Perhaps he was not expecting Marquez to be able to turn in as quickly as he did (I was expecting Marquez to run much wider there myself). Maybe Bagnaia was also. I think that Marquez on the old Honda would have run wider . Perhaps we are all going to have to adjust to the new Marquez/ GasGas cornering potential going forward.

Yes, Marquez has a lot of potential with that bike, COTA will be interesting 🤔
