as a English man working a normal factory job, if i lived alone in a small flat in my area. i would spend 100% of my wage on rent bills and energy. i don't think working class hates the rich, they more hate the gap between the rich and the poor
My parents were able to buy a four bedroom house, raised a family, go on several holidays a year on one (engineers) wage. My kids can't afford any of that.
💯 And to add, working class people shouldn't be angry at all of the rich, they should be mad at those who claim they are going to help the working class, but instead redistribute money to their monopoly capitalist friends amd big banks. It's theft and slavery and is making everyone except the elect few much poorer.
It is not someone else’s job to worry about your quality of life. That is what makes America. You get out of life what you put into it. Smoke meth and become homeless, you made your bed. Study and work hard and you will do well.
@@rohans1789 that is a lie, i know plenty of people who work hard and are struggling bad, many with 2 jobs! This is why empires fall, because leaders get too greedy and screw over everyone else, go back and look at history, it happens everytime!

I am a tired soul having a human experience living in Colorado and see nothing but a darkness without a way out. Property taxes, insurance and grocery costs are through the roof! Energy costs and just plain existing makes it very difficult for the ‘average’ person to think positively about the future at this point. I feel for everyone in the US and abroad. We are being culled!

I was born and still live in CO. When me and my ex were together we lived a decent life for 14 years. Then she left me and I’m borderline homeless. I’m so tired of working two jobs and still going to the food bank. If you don’t have a partner for help this state is unattainable.

17 years ago, all of my kids were working minimum wage paying jobs. They were working at Taco Bell. My husband was working a minimum wage paying job. But we were pooling all our money together so that we could pull ourselves out of poverty. With all our money together, I managed to pay all our bills allow my kids to get whatever they wanted and save up $17,000 in one year. Now my kids are making literally around 20 to $28 an hour. No longer working at Taco Bell. And we are living paycheck to paycheck. So, great. We're doing better than other countries are. And that's what Biden wasn't able to articulate. Yet come on my kids are making more money by far and we're only able to make it paycheck to paycheck. There is no building up money in the bank anymore. Every time, we hope to build up money The car breaks down. $5,000 to fix one car. Sucks any money we managed to save up away. Yet on jobs that were very close to minimum wage 17 years ago, we were able to pay for cars breaking down, things in the house breaking down, getting whatever we wanted and stashing money away in the bank. Not so much anymore. We don't care if we're doing better than other countries. We care if we're not doing anywhere near as well as we did in the past. We care that we are working high level paying jobs and still struggling to make it paycheck to paycheck. When that wasn't the case 17 years ago on lower level paying jobs.
Donnies plan is more trickle down, for you, for me, trickle down for everyone. Except the deepest of deep pockets are already pulling their chairs into the table. Watch actions, not words.
@@AnyaNiklausWorking class people everywhere have declining standard of living. Wealth and resources have been transferred from them to the billionaires on an epic scale. If you think Trump is going to change this I think you are very naive.
I can’t wait to see MAGA supporter’s faces when the economy is ripped apart , and you are crying about inflated prices, due to the immigrant labor, that all of you have relied on for farms, restaurants, and small industries, are gone/deported. You are doing this to yourself. The cognitive dissonance is astounding. How completely ignorant.
We need a part 2 with different guest! It’ll be cool if you talked with policemen, business people, doctors, lawyers, car dealership owners, or even grocery store workers and fast food workers about how the last couple of years impacted their lives and the lives of others around them😊 The grocery and fast food workers conversation would be EPIC👏🏾
I would be also curious to hear what everyday people think, not just about the last couple years, but the next couple years when we have effectively handed control of the economy to the billionaires. I really don't see the situation getting better, and I am hoping I am just being pessimistic. Now there we have people like Curtis Yarvin who suggest we get rid of democracy and voting altogether, the rich is only going to get richer and poor will only be more pressed, and I only see it getting much harder for the working class going forward
That’s why I say support your local small businesses. The global conglomerates are corrupt and evil. They want NWO and they’re getting it by our business it’s gross. We’re literally paying into our slavery for sarans agenda

UK is not a meritocracy, it runs on nepotism. "Best person for the job blah blah blah"- If that was the case, this place would be a thriving powerhouse and not a failing nation filled with toxic work environments and men who constantly fail upwards.
Yep! If you have the gift of the gab, you can really make it in the UK. If you don't, all your skills and everything you bring to the table means nothing. Such a silly way of working
@@Qoric as an American, I’ve learned that we have different life styles depending on the region, and the state you live in. So even Americans have different perspectives of what one side of the country is like versus the other side. I think there were many valid points on describing our issues.
You Americans are the ones who have no idea what it's like to be a citizen of a planet where there is a crazy orange man who has decided to attack us all, to the point of putting the planet in a third world war, by proxy of course, and helping to massacre other ethnicities so that so you can buy a new electric car to go to Mars I guess
Speakers are out of touch with the most common American whom is most affected by higher prices and increasingly authoritarian governance. Laws and regulations that increasingly make it more difficult for the little guy to be successful while allowing the more established, larger, business to thrive. This is repressive and intimidating making successful upward mobility arduous at best.
I agree. There's been a strategic attempt to remove the Middle class. 1. Economic disenfranchisement & (2) Divisive racial/ethnic propaganda aimed to pit everyone who's struggling to make ends meet at each others throats
While I get your point about how men have become demoralized, I think that the conversation dismisses how women have had to fight hard to vote, have their own bank accounts, own property and run their own businesses. Lets look at how many female CEO's exist. I still walk into a car dealer and have to mention that brother is a mechanic in order to not get taken advantage of. Women still make less money and first hand experience in my industry men do not have to work as hard as the women to get promoted because there are fewer of them (sales managers in retail). I believe in real equality but am extremely worried about the track with regards to womens rights this country is on. Both of our leaders are extreme misogynists. I think a woman on your panel might be important to give some perspective. I love the discussions! Keep them coming.
Idk what your definition of misogynists is but it’s different than mine and most people clearly. That word means nothing anymore. People like you are why Trump won and won handedly. DEI was also a blatantly racist and sexist policy that is and should be illegal. If you favor a gender or race when hiring that is the definition of discrimination.
In the us, for the same job, women make as much or more than men. For the same job, same hours, etc. Women choose jobs with lower pay. And we won the vote in 1917 (all this is in the US). More women go to college. My grandmother was born in 1916. I’m 58. She had the vote her whole adult life, as have I. I’m not counting that in any crisis I’ve ever dealt with. If you wanna debate, talk about problems we’ve actually encountered in our lifetimes.
Because there more poverty then there is millionaire. That’s why you can’t measure success of a country like that. Base success of a country by no one going to bed hungry.
You've twisted their argument. It's not how many millionaires a country has, it's how many millionaires are leaving the country. Rats only flee sinking ships.
To dismiss gender differences across the board results in a type of inequality. Women are still expected to be primary caregivers to young children. Women also are faced with a choice of having a family/children and having her career, earning and capacity to generate wealth, take a hit, or foregoing a family and children in order to increase her chances of success. If we want the population to grow and we want women and men to both have equal access to wealth, there are some things that need to change. You need to include educated women who are very aware of these very real issues in your discussions on social and economic growth and change.
I don't see any educated women in the West who want to have children and a career not being able to do both. It's entirely upto the woman. How long are we going to discuss this false problem of inequality. Men and Women are different, accept it or go down a coal mine or lay a thousand bricks a day and forget about having babies and being a Mother to your child.
This is the result of what feminists fought for... you wanted to be able to do what men do. We let you. But now you have a dilemma where you have to choose between your biology and your new given freedom to participate in the workforce. I really don't understand what is your true question. You can choose whatever you want. You have the freedom to choose feminine or masculine, while holding men stuck in their masculine role. Somehow you don't know what to do with this freedom and we have to fix it somehow? What do you suggest? More handouts?
@@V3NQM69 There is an incredible amount of ignorance in your comment, starting from "WE let you..." It's not my job to educate you, but let's just put it this way. If we are in an economic system that has been created and dominated by one gender and therefore serves that gender's biology, why shouldn't shifts and adjustments be made now that both genders are participating within it? Your comment comes across as a very very limited perception of the world and gender and doesn't serve anyone, men or women. YOU don't ALLOW ME to do shit. I do what I want. I always have. What I see as a rising narrative in our culture lately is a concern around falling birth rates. In the US specifically, there is no parental leave. Not for women and not for men. People want babies and people want a wealthy nation of opportunity but then 50% of the population is expected to give up their careers or take a hit in order to keep the population steady. Instead of this, why not have things like shared parental leave so parents have the option to split their leave 50-50 so one doesn't take all of that economic burden of maintaining our population? If there arent systemic options in place for this responsibility to be shared, the end result is subjugation of one gender, especially if laws are being made to reduce women's choices around their fertility. This isn't as simple as you seem to think. Likely this is due to the fact that these are not things that matter to you, given you can stay in your comfortable little narrow lane in life without ever facing these choices. Your wife may, your sister and friends may, but not you.
@@V3NQM69 btw these issues are for US to solve. WE need a better world for ALL of US. It isn't men solving for women. Your bias is showing in your comment.
Very concerning that in the conversation that DEI has gone too far, no one is talking about why it started in the first place We didn’t have meritocracy before DEI instead we had 1. Old boys club i.e. men from the same schools and social networks hiring each other 2. Nepotism 3. Unpaid internships only available to the wealthy How will rolling back DEI ensure meritocracy and not a return to old boys clubs and nepotism? I want to see republicans answering this question
Amen! There is a long documented history that shows whenever oppressed groups gain too much power in relation to the whyte boys network, the network declares war to regain that power.
I knew this was gonna be the case without even having to watch the video. All these conservative leaning podcaster bros are insufferable. I just came to the comment section to see how people would react and I’m glad it’s recognition that it's bullshit rather than boot licking
Speakers are very out of touch with the average person"s reality. They are very much in touch with their reality. Interesting to hear their perspectives. I will always say it is dangerous to have those who will never experience or be impacted by something to make decisions. In order to remove something, you must first solve the root cause. The issue is that no one has solved the major disparities that exist in lending, wages, housing, healthcare, and more. We are still living off the same systems created during slavery and 100s of years ago. People are more than qualified and are still denied jobs and pay lower wages every single day. This is already proven. I'm not sure if DEI helped or not. I just want the root problems gone. Just like someone needs to truly addresse the national debt and actually fix SSI. It is impossible to change every person's prejudice and systematic racism because it is social programmed in many people's minds, but systems definitely can be changed. People are just saying talking points and not reality. Adding bandaids on top of institutional problems never works and hasn't worked. Solve the root fix the tree!!!
I was born in the mid-Fifties, and am here to testify that Affirmative Action/DEI helped IMMENSELY. White people would NEVER have relinquished their strangle-hold on power without government intervention. For example: My mother went to work at the VA Hospital in the mid-Sixties. She came home and told us in shocked tones that there was a NEGRO in the bathroom she was using!!! A few months later, it didn't mean a thing to her, but she would never have agreed to share the bathroom with "dusky" people----she had to be forced. My father was a very mild-mannered and genial man whose IQ was right at 100. He was drifting after his stint in the army, so his dad's friend who brought him into the printer/pressmen Union, guaranteeing him a lifelong trade, in the late Forties. Do you think any Black men got that kind of help? It was quite common with White people back then, and it was completely closed to minorities and women until the government force integration and gender equality.
I agree with this and would add that it's about ACCESS. Minorities and women, don't have access to money/capital in the same way. ACCESS to a good education, lucrative jobs because of the good old boy system, positive influencers, mentors etc. This is why affirmative action levels the playing field. White men are now crying about what others have had to deal with for centuries!! I'd like to see a more diverse panel with women and people of color. Not just rich white men.
We would have to fix corruption, it is a simple fix. If we keep capitalism then allow money to trickle down..... No lobbyists. Too many crooks and snouts in the trough I am afraid. I really hope it doesn't get to a French revolution stage but I fear it might in a few decades if the working and middle classes are not given back their wealth rights?
Konstantin was literally homeless for periods when he migrated to the UK. I think he is in touch with the people who are struggling. Prosperity matters.
Well I think you meant serfdom rather than slavery. Unless you are in US, well this conversation is very much about the UK. We never had slavery, but of course we have a very class based society which oddly the working classes like more than anyone else. 'I'm working class and proud of it'. That's what you hear every day. If you are American, you might not like to hear it. But you have growth still and no one else does. So you're better off. But for me I'd be concerned about inflation figures in US, they seem to be wrong. Years ago my US grocery shop when on hols in a self catering situation was same as UK (say 2016), now it's double. Partly exchange rate based, but not wholly that's for sure. That's despite some saying our food inflation was 55% one year and yet still grocery prices US are far higher. How come?
We live in Texas (one of the lower cost of living states) My husband is making 30k more a year than when we got married 8 years ago yet we dont have any more spending power. Cost of living is so ridiculous we cant catch up. We only have one child and have an average house so its not like we are living beyond our means, we have 2 old vehicles, hardly go anywhere or eat out and we cut out and cut costs as much as possible and yet we are still hardly getting by.
@@lisinbondi1240 Agreed. Unfortunately they won’t. It’s more cost effective to offshore resources. It allows for the very deceptive manipulation of profit margins to boost stock power. Which is what C-Suite execs get most of their company investments from and they want their returns.
Governor Abbott and your Representatives are not working for their constituents. They are working for themselves and to grow their own wealth. Governor Abbott put your state in the red out of his narsassistic ego to build a stupid wall and to create a unnecessary State Boarder Reserves. Then turning the local police into boarder patrol on top of that.
Thank you for this !!! As a 40 something year old, non political Democrat turned Republican, it's THESE issues that turned me !!! You touched on just about every single subject that fueled my passion to switch sides and try to make a change for future generations. Poor people not having equal opportunity, blue collar workers not being paid their value, young men struggling emotionally and financially do to the toxicity of the culture, trans idealism harming themselves and women, and DEI harming more than helping, and the list goes on. Property taxes are out of control, groceries have tripled in price, homes are being built for rich people and not middle class people, fast food workers are getting paid almost the same as skilled labor blue collar workers. These are REAL issues that have to be addressed. Thanks for opening the door to healing our nation.
@@juluminous He did say this was going to be a series.... so let's hope there will be a panel of women soon. I generally like the people he has on and I'm a subscriber.
Ah, I missed that he said it would be a series. I do hope he brings women on to discuss this subject. I felt pretty disconnected from this group of men. My concerns differ from theirs. This is only the second time I have watched this channel, with Martha Beck being the first. That interview was an absolute delight!
I think women enormously value men who can embrace their femininity. Emotional intelligence, empathy, consideration for other's needs, silliness, open-mindedness, perspective-taking. Men's fear of femininity is what's making them so toxic and unhealthy.
What happened to investing in raising children? Investing in families? Grass roots communities? Policies that is focused entirely on capitalistic growth is creating divisions, competition and individualism. We need to return to empathy, to family, to collective wellbeing.
Asians africans have a better sense of that. The west is just obsessed with money it seems. I think the way perceptions and dicussion in the west have been molded are just.. I do not have the word for it. But East is more holistic.
Konstantin - “America is always going to be an unequal society “. Yes, but the 3 richest people in the US have the same wealth as the bottom half of the population. In many societies inequality is increasing exponentially. It’s crazy.
If people have a problem with today's billionaires, then stop buying their products! They didn't become wealthy standing on a street corner. One becomes wealthy by producing a product or providing a service that the world finds useful, and, for many, indispensable. In fact, we consumers make people rich through our purchasing power. If you are upset by the Zuckerbergs, Bezos, Gates and Musks of this world, stop using Meta platforms, Amazon and Microsoft, and stop buying Teslas.
Konstantin misses the idea completely… people are not down on those that create/produce things that help others it’s how they compensate/ extort/ disregard those that helped them get there and

Scott, Galloway's explanation of the economy is exactly what's wrong with American politics. He basically rattled off a bunch of numbers about how corporate profits are great. When the reality is those profits all go to already rich people and everybody else is falling behind. That's the entire story
Well ... May the rich say: why dont those poor buggers eat cake when short on bread. Triggered the french revolution. We have a new "cash" aristrocy on the one side and socialistic regi.es on the other.
Well we just elected a guy who keeps score by the stock market so clearly his supporters do as well. (Whether they realize it or not) look no further than who was invited to sit behind him at the inauguration
The American Scott is so right about young men. I was a single mom and am a business owner with a boy who is at a loss to see his value and just goes thru the motions because he doesnt see a future. I'm a tiger mother and would take on anyone who could help. They NEED HOPE! This conversation helps. Thank you!
Agree I was a school teacher for a while young men do need help. He did hit the nail on the head with that one. Good luck to your son it is confusing out there these days for our young people.
Thank you for sharing this. My son feels the same way & it absolutely breaks my heart 😢 He's 18 & feels there's no purpose to this life. My heart breaks for him & I feel helpless when it's been MONTHS trying to get him the help he needs!
Ppl are beyond stupid it seems. They complain that nobody cares about the poor & working class conditions so they put billionaires in power & think it will be different. It's like making AIDS the head of healthcare to increase life expectancy. It makes no sense. No wonder the rich want to keep the poor poor it keeps them in power. Why would they change what's working for them. America has been duped. They are in for a tough time but don't worry pretty soon they will also have a trillionaire.
I’m curious if there wasn’t a woman voice available for this conversation. I definitely enjoyed the conversation and it opened my eyes to opinions and a a discussion that sounded peaceful and positive. I would have like to have heard a non biased woman’s perspective.
As a women, it doesn’t matter at all. We’re allowed to listen to 4 men speaking without having women in there. Do you really think we are alike because of our genitalia?! It’s the ideas that matter - not what’s between our legs or what colour our skiin is. Try to get beyond that.

England is on such a slippery slope, and it makes me angry. I'm a 30-year-old British male, and next month, I’m leaving. This country has nothing left for me. I went to university during COVID, graduated with a first, and landed a grad job. But six months in, I’ve quit. Why? I did a 5- and 10-year analysis of where I’d be, and the future looked bleak. One word sums it up: debt. It simply doesn’t pay to work here anymore. So, goodbye, England. I’m off to live a better life-working remotely somewhere hot, safe, and relaxing. A place where I can actually enjoy my life and feel free.
But you were happy to gain a good degree in this country. What a shame that you won't stay to share your experience. Best of luck for your future. Sad it won't be here. 😢
I’m relieved that the guests were respectful and listened well to one another. I can’t stand people trying to talk over one another or yell at one another. Would love to see these kinds of discussions from the working class perspective.
Very good comment , I'd like to see working class people on MORE . But someone commented like on the Piers Morgan show , NO , Piers Morgan is a s*8t show as he interrupts way too much . His podcast is too much a conflict show , it's not even a decent debate show ...
You need to address the wealth distribution between people who work with their hands and directly in resources and the peoples rewards for working in finance. Profits need to be taxed at the same proportion in both these areas
I disagree with SO much in this "debate" (didn't really hear much "debating" going on). Just one of the points I'm going to pull out is this argument that we need to build more houses because of the housing crisis. The housing "shortage" is not a shortage of structures to live in. It's because people, but more often corporations, own the available houses and they are sitting empty!! The houses are either empty because the rents are so high that no one can afford them, or they're just spare houses for folk who have a lot of money, or various other reasons. We have tons of empty houses in the US... I don't know what the situation is in the UK but I would guess it's similar.
And then we have the so called Non profits getting contracts for billions to build stick structures for illegals or homeless .. I don’t know who really gets in and in California that was a huge for profit mismanagement of funds with no results .. stick houses saying they cost over $400,000??? Making affordable housing is a scam n only big corps profit .. maybe stop the free aid so illegals stop overloading the system .. 🧐that might help too ..
many people wheel out the fact that we have x number of thousands of empty residences in the uk but the fact of the matter here is that our vacancy rate is among the lowest, and those houses that are available aren't available in the places that people want or need to live, for jobs, career prospects or for other reasons. I don't think it makes sense for housing to be viewed as a speculative asset but it is also true that in the UK we really just need to build. Perhaps that helps with some perspective for your part of the US, much of the troubles i assume will be regional though
I think the situation is different in Australia and the UK. Yes there are some houses rented purely as holiday accommodation. And a few foreignly owned houses left empty. But fundamentally, the problem is the government allowing millions of immigrants into the country, when we simply don't have enough housing, and every year it gets worse. @@vids4mee
more vacant units cause prices to go down, simple supply and demand no? id agree there needs to be strict regulation on this kind of market manipulation, but thatd be too hard to pass because of how much money is at stake for these companies and the fight theyll put against it. unfortunately the only way is government housing to compete with them and make them lose money on empty units
The economy is, of course, going to be worse after it was shut down worldwide. Inflation is due to covid lockdowns worldwide and governments putting more money into circulation.
Exactly- those in poverty here dont care if they still have it better than the rest of the world’s poor people. What they care about is being able to reasonable expect to change their situation.
I'm just tired of spending an extra $150-200 at the grocery store and that's for your basics. It’s sad when you look at a jar of mayonnaise and think it’s too expensive.
So Trump is going to help with that?! Should not you get a better paying job, maje your mayo at home, instead of voting a self-centered idiot into power?
Oh boy that was a lot of privilege talking there and an incredibly amount of “thinking they know what the world needs” and knowing what “the people” want. People want to be able to afford a family. I don’t see that happening at the moment. I am a woman in the childbearing ages, would love to start a family, am educated, work in a lower middle class field and have a stable partner and still know that having a family would put me in immediate danger of poverty if I want to stay home for the time required to maximise the health of my baby. I don’t want to start a business, I want my partner being able to make enough money so we could potentially raise a healthy family without me having to work full time right away and paying a crazy amount of childcare.you can’t just make politics for single mid 40 entrepreneurs, somebody needs to care for the people who inhabit this earth and I’m sorry but that needs more governmental support for all cultural aspect even if that means that we tax the rich. the rich will need workers in their companies eventually.
@dariacorreia987 it is not the same. I am older and I've seen the decline. I had my children for free. They were completely covered by insurance. Medical coverage was much better. Buying a home was affordable.
I’m sorry to provide unsolicited advice, but if you really want kids, don’t wait. You’ll figure it out, people always do. You may need to continue to work, but even if you don’t, you’ll get by. There’s never a perfect time, and I wish I’d had my daughter much earlier rather than waiting till I could afford it. She’ll never have a sibling now, she’ll never know growing up in a family (it’s just us) Poor people raise kids, people much poorer than you would be. It’ll be fine.
The US cannot be compared to the UK. The US economy is HUGE! Just because they are both “countries” doesn’t mean they can be equally compared. A better comparison would be a single state in the US to UK, like Texas or California.
England was the largest economy in the world at one point. England owned ,conquered more countries than any other world power. The Queen relinquished control and authority. That's when the crumbling happened
But that statement would depend on the type of comparison. Based on their narrative, we are living with "Western" edicts and they're questioning why one economy in the West is so much larger. America's economy wasn't always bigger than Britain's so they were questioning why one thrives/thrived and grows/grew while the other seems stymied. The comparison therefore is about growth in a similarly structured economy.
@@stephiegetsit Indeed! The reason why the crumbling happened was because the British Empire drained the countries it conquered. The Queen did not relinquish anything. The Empire fell when either the Brits had no more to take (aka it was no longer a profitable enterprise) or the "conquered" revolted. I'm hoping here that you are not thinking that that savagery is a way to grow an economy. See that brutality has left many poor. Poverty leads to revolt. Perhaps that's why your borders are crumbling as those who have less try to get to where there is more? Think on it... p.s. This conversation was about innovation and not brutality. There is a difference.
Just to be clear... 6 years ago we were able to afford so much more than now... I am not a professor in Economics, but I can definitely look at the people around me and see so many young families struggling... Give me a break with the economic growth during Biden presidency.
Things were more affordable six years ago largely because inflation has risen and the pandemic disrupted supply chains. While the economy has grown under Biden, factors like global trade tensions and recovery from Covid still affect prices. It’s more complex than just one presidency.

I I have to be 67 to retire now as well? It’s risky to travel when you are that old because of the health issues you inherited or got from preparing quick dinners for the family at night because you just worked a 10 hour day to pay your mortgage, kids activities, health insurance for the family and all needed utilities and necessities- and no vacations because you are saving for your kids college. No, no, no my friend. Those old people “getting” money is the money back that they paid into the system. If you haven’t paid money into the system, then that money is a different story. If you have been incredibly lucky and don’t need ss, then you could do the right thing and donate to those people in need who are actually struggling for some uncontrollable circumstance.
I normally like your pod casts and recommend them to alot of my friends but this was not great, missed the mark by miles. It really was just an echo chamber, no real debate, no challenge of ideas or thoughts, no diversity of people, lacks compassion and understanding This should be titled, four insecure men talking about what they think about the current state of world from their point of view. This world view they push forward doesnt resonate with anyone with compassion, empathy and understanding Please be better than this.
True, but why does economic inequality happen? Our monetary system proliferates this. TLDR, money is debt and those who understand that can abuse it, and those who don't fall behind.
@Harret-iw4zs Because some people work harder and are better with money. Sorry, but everyone making the same amount of money is called communism. Look to history to see how well that worked out.
For the DEI, many think it's only about racial minorities, especially Black people, but it's actually for women, people with disability, veterans, the LGBT community, etc. So many rejoicing it's thrown out may also be negatively impacted
Black woman here. We all know that DEI = 2 wrongs don't make a right. I worked hard all my life and reached where I have based on merit. I got into university based on my rankings. Not on DEI.
DEI is anti compassion. Because it isn't compassion. People can get to where they want to be by their own merit, hard work and effort and shouldn't be handed anything to them based on their skin color, gender or sexual preference, etc. Talk about dumbing down individuals and society...no! Trump did the right thing!
We all need to start living in real life. On-line/social media life is the one things damaging so many generations. We need to go backwards and live the life our parents had in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s. Going to out work, speaking to people, building actual relationships
On one hand though the internet can be a powerful tool for education. If we want true change we need to achieve class consciousness to realise that the wealthy are the ones intentionally ruining everyday peoples lives.
I don't think women would appreciate being told they can't open a bank account without their husband or black people being blatantly treated like second class citizens please.
@@Aerozeya I hope it would be obvious that my meaning was not to turn back all the social/political/medical gains we have made in the last 50 odd years, but to live a slower, more personal life with much less emphasis on on-line relationships.
@ yeah exactly it’s easy to forget how much change has been made throughout history and thats why we must not stop progressing. The only time being ‘conservative’ is justifiable in my opinion is when the world is perfect snd it clearly is not
The part with the guy reiterating this notion that business leaders will run the government more efficiently is one of the worst and most persistent lies ever told. Anyone who'se actually worked in or with a business would understand that. On a personal scale, I used to work Telecom and the amount of waste and the inefficiency with which field work was done was astounding. On a broader scale, you have Zuckerburg wasting BILLIONS of dollars on his Metaverse, a technology with no use that nobody wants. Trimming government to them means doing away with any regulatory bodies that might stand in their way. Nobody but the absolute wealthiest will benefit from the changes they want to make.
Unfortunately I agree with you. If you put people there that can potentially benefit from the changes they are about to come up with, it's more than likely that their ideas will be skewed towards their businesses and not for the general good. As those people have large businesses, the impact it could have on the money they make is potentially insane. They are biased and there is no way they can actually remain objective. We have seen that in the past time and time again, if bad decisions bring in more money, most businesses will go for them.
You seem to have faith in government to actually spend our tax dollars efficiently and effectively as well. Government has NEVER been efficient or effective and every single regulatory body that protects the American people is now owned by the businesses that they are supposed to protect us from. The politicians that have a salary of 200,000 who now have net worth of tens of millions of dollars, nearly every one of them, whether they are republican or democrat, shows how deep and total the corruption runs. Government waste is far greater than corporate waste always because companies must at the end of the day make money for themselves and their shareholders. Government doesn’t give two hoots about profiting their shareholders, the American people. And I don’t follow your train of thought about Zuckerburg’s spending his Billions of dollars on whatever he wants to spend it on. How is that bad or any different than a politician spending tax payer dollars supporting DEI or WOKE ideology in our schools? At least Zuckerberg is spending his own money rather than yours and my money. I believe you and I would agree that corporate control of our government is going on right now and that it must be stopped. Where we differ is that you seem to have a lot more faith in our government than I do. I don’t trust them further than I can spit.
All those people are autistic and have no empathy for others ordinary people are only of use to them for how much money they make for them so they are the last people to be in government an the trans gender ops in prisons they spent millions advertising this and there were only two,
It is so refreshing to be able to witness civil discourse. Thank you to all four of you for taking the time to have this conversation. Best wishes from Canada ❤
do you live on a Island unto yourself? can you not easily see how your logic falls apart the second you understand your actions effect others and others actions effect you. What is the first thing a society/community must do? we determine who can and cannot exist within the society, we call these laws.
@@jasonu3741 luckily, we do not live in a tribe anymore and we allow for individual freedom. My logic is there- “without hurting anyone in the process” I think you missed it.
That is the opposite of what the "woke" people did. They were selfish, entitled and lived in their own delusion. They only cared about themselves, you can see from their ideals and policies, because it was all about how to make themselves stand out while punching down on others who are different. All those confusing pronouns, 100+ genders, transitioning kids, DEI, race grifting etc etc they are all as SELFISH as they come. The worst thing is they want OTHER people to also live in their delusions. And they get easily offended and bully anyone who doesn't agree with them or even attempting to have a conversation with them. You can live in your own delusions but do NOT force your delusions onto others.
It's a bit frustrating the segment when they're saying young men are really hard done by, when the entire panel is represented by men only. Women have not / are not having it easy. They're just used to being underappreciated and underrepresented. If you're an ambitious woman, life has always been an uphill battle, and we have to do more to prove ourselves, especially in a male dominated profession. At the very least, look how underrepresented women are in this panel of talkers.
The fact that you had to say "but women" to someone just mentioning a group is having difficulties proves their point. Women have everyone's attention already, all of the shelters, special programs, legal leg up, hiring priority and quotas and the list goes on. Not all solutions are one size fits all, they often have to be tailored to a specific demographic's wants and needs. And people, like you, who can't let a good thing happen to anyone else but their own group is part of the problem. Not to mention, this very issue is part of the reason why young men shifted so much to the right (and Trump) this election.
@@laztheripper I don't know if that's true in USA because I'm in UK but no one is getting a leg up or anything in the UK except the rich whose parents can get them into the best schools, internships etc and buy their first property for them. I agree young men are having an identity crisis and we're getting to see the consequences of it but I don't think it's women's fault or because we're getting special treatment. We need to communicate and listen to each other better because things the manosphere are saying aren't true of the women i know (in terms of what they want and such) and I'm sure you feel the same about what elements of women's discourse is saying about men. I have a 17 year old son by the way which is really making me have to think hard and more compassionately as to what young men are lacking as well as understanding the female perspective.
It's the audience that vote for guests who appear on this show, again merit vs entitlement, they were invited to the show because the audience requested for them, not because they are men. And just because you are a man doesn't mean you can't make an observation about how society treats men and women.
We were brought up in an environment that encouraged us to steer away from polarizing topics. To avoid having conversations where there might be strong opinions as a way to have and keep peace, which in my opinion crippled communication. When we censor ourselves; we may be allowing for peace on the surface of things. But actually, what we are doing, is just masking issues and not dealing with them. I would venture to say that real transformation doesn't occur without polarizing conversations. This podcast or conversation is exactly what the world really needs more than anything. You become the best version of yourself when you learn to sit down with someone different and be open. We should not teach our future to avoid polarizing conversations, but instead we should show them how to create safe spaces to have them. That is what I feel Steven has done here; created a safe environment to have a polarizing sort of conversation, where so many golden nuggets could be shared in a safe space. Steven, thank you for making your platform one that could bring together opposing views in a way that could allow for understanding of the bigger picture and real possible tangible transformation.
This was one of the BEST CIVIL discussions with differing view points i have heard. THANK YOU for THIS!!!! It goes to show you, when we don't degenerate to name calling we have a 80% overlap in our goals
Lol. Yes, the sky is falling and entire states will be swallowed by the ocean because the temp goes up a degree over a century. Definitely time to panic.
Remember that economic prosperity is not everything that defines good life. If you're worked to death and there is no rule of law, economic prosperity is not that great because only few benefit from it.
We've created a society that focuses entirely upon prosperity and wealth growth. Anyone who even considers anything else is "woke" and a detriment to society. We have a values crisis happening right before our eyes and we have a political movement that is focused on tearing down anything that gets in their way. Poor people are demonised and described as vultures. They believe definition of government should have no connection to protecting citizens. People have no respect or grasp for history. Greed doesn't make for a happy ending.
As far as life stability, over 65% of U.S. citizens are a month away from having their life stability uprooted, uncertainty, the primary cause of higher cortisol levels and poor life outcomes, especially when being experienced by a child. The United States is an impoverished country that sold their souls to corporations long, long ago..
We must get to the root of individual trauma and programming and transmute it. Very challenging when in a state of nervous system dysregulation...it's by design of course. We are shifting quickly as many are waking up, the suffering and oppression have tipped the scales and we are ushering in a New Earth one individual transformation at a time. Personal accountability is imperative, not easy.
Americans are obsessed with money and flash rather than quality of life. We need to stop living in giant houses with 5 cars in the driveway and new clothes every week. Loss of personal connection whether family or community is a major driver of 'boys in the basement".
I'm so incredibly tired of being told that the American problem is that the money is being taken from young people and "stuffed into the pockets" of old people. I am a retired RN who worked for 45 years and paid into social security and a meager retirement plan. I get $35,000 per year total. I am middle America. We have to budget to pay for medicine and food. No one I know is able to afford a cruise let alone upgrade to the "crystal cruise". Scott Galloway's view from his perch atop the 'professor's pedestal' is so far from reality as to be laughable.
it’s all just division tactics that the govt love to place between us all. they demonise groups in society as scapegoats while they line their pockets.
Sounds like you did not put enough away in your retirement account. RN's make decent money. The median salary is like $79k. If you put 20% of that ($15,800) into a retirement account per year and invested it into stocks, you would be much more well off than $35k/year, especially when including social security.
😊I find the idea that the US is in such a fabulous state bizarre. Trillions in debt, whole swathes of homeless, unaffordable healthcare, no paid holidays, overly medicated and terrible health outcomes, inability to manage domestic crisis - wildfires, train derailments etc. horrible warmongering all over the world, complicity in genocide, millions dead due to the US……. Seems to me there is a lot of changes needed. But it’s a big ask. Those in charge will battle fiercely to hold onto their power.
It’s not a State it’s a Country to you my poorly informed human who obviously doesn’t travel and relies upon fake news ( most likely the same platform that supports your narrow minded views) get off your bum and see for yourself. I live in Texas and travel for work all over the US, Brazil, Arabia, Mexico, Canada, Netherlands, etc 270 nights a year in hotels. It’s nothing like your opinion.
@ no, in the UK and we’ve certainly got our problems. But we do have free healthcare, sick pay, at least 28 days paid holiday a year and - in Scotland - free university .
Wow Scott. A lot of the answer certainly is for a man to love and value by example their child’s mother. This is the type of profound insight that will save humanity! Sincerely - Bravo Sir 👍🇦🇺
I agree, Kasin however, has no accountability and blames woman for the current climate instead of acknowledging how the abuse of woman created this ultra woke empowerment of woman. The narrative needs to be around healed masculine and feminine identities. The same way he said “WOW it’s almost like this ultra woke ideology around woman empowerment has consequences” and it’s like dito? The lesson is extremes and unbalanced energy. It’s a cause and effect. I’m disturbed by his inability to acknowledge that ultra woke woman culture is the CONSEQUENCE of men exerting their dominance over woman…
@@cruz3444 THIS. That's why I like Scott's approach. He's able to acknowledge discrimination and inequality while also and rightfully criticizing the "overcorrection" of a well intentioned initiative. He sees nuance, something most people on these podcasts fail to achieve
This whole conversation is insane...both the right and the left have all of you convinced that they are the only alternative... we must have a third party and vote someone in who is for the American people and are NOT associated with wall street, or backing, or the military industrial complex, and who will express the constitution.
Most country’s do have more than two viable parties to vote for and form government. It’s not changing politicians ruling money into their ownmpockets first.
Wealth creation is not of any value if it does not trickle down to the whole population No one seems to answer that question Also USA is the world biggest economy so of course there is going to be more money to invest it is simple economics Maybe you should actually have some economists on your channel not a bunch of people who just talk about entrepreneurship all the time Ideas need to add real value to the UK economic not increase the wealth of an handful of people
You are incredibly nieve if you think wealth doesn't currently trickle down. Trickle down does not mean everyone will eventually have equal value. Wealth trickles down to the entrepreneurs that are willing to fight for and earn it.
Ban foreign ownership of domestic dwellings - leases only. Limit non home property investment by citizens to a set amount. Hopefully this will bring housing prices down.
Boy what he said about young men is sooo true! I have exactly that with my son , served his country for 8 yrs and now has opted out! It’s so hard to deal with as a parent . What can we do to fix this!
As a 63 year old woman with a son who is barely hanging in there, I have to say that some of what two of you said about how to help young men was disturbing. Calling your peers pussies and suggesting that more sex is the answer by way of paying for a date seems beneath the educational level that has been attained. Still enjoyed the discussion and it needs to continue, but more representation is required.
@@justthebrttrk People who call others "pussies" are misogynists. And sex certainly isn't the answer, regardless of red pill whining. When men learn to respect women as equals, and embrace women as leaders (because science has shown women are better leaders than men are---google it), then maybe these gender wars will cease.
Right from the getgo, I’m going to say that I am an American and listening to Konstanin’s first response, I wholeheartedly disagree with what he says “Americans” want. Being conscientious is what makes us stronger, and it makes the world stronger. Please do not lump every American citizen together. This election was not a free and equitable choice by the people. From what I’ve heard so far in this discussion, the Professor has it right.
HAHA! I was thinking this exact same thing and about to post what you posted! 3 men with different political views, agreeing with each other and still disagreeing over nuances. No yelling over each other, no gotcha moments, polite and civilized discussion. Mwah *Chef's Kiss* I love it!
Yes. BUT… They all from the same area on the entrepreneurial spectrum. If you had 1 or 2 entrepreneurs from sectors such as renewables, energy storage, fusion, reversing desertification etc you would see a much broader and “hotter” debate.
I'm not convinced these programmes should be described as debates at all, because there isn't balance between the time devoted to both sides of the arguments
Speaking of kleptocracy, here's a fun fact. In the state of Texas, probably others too, when you buy a home you do NOT technically own the property its on. You can read it in the fine-print of the contract you sign when taking ownership. Yet, you still pay for the land AND you pay property taxes. HOW IS THIS LEGAL?
It is illegal and immoral, folks have no idea they do not really own their homes because they do not own the land and the land supersedes the dwelling.
If you dig and find a gold vein under your house, you fo not own it. Somebody else rich or govt already own the mineral rights under any land you "bought". Basically, we just rent surface space of the land.
That land is cheaper because someone else is paying for the mineral rights. If that bothers you, move somewhere that sells you the mineral rights, and pay the price for that.
Well, that was excellent. Listened as I pack up my office for a move to Portugal. I have so much respect for those people who are staying in the UK and fighting for it, but as Churchill said, “Kites rise highest against the wind, not with it.” Good luck brothers & sisters 😊
I’m Portuguese but have lived in Finland d for 25 years, the pandemic made me see a Portugal as a place I never expected to see in my life, full of crazy draconian dystopian and Orwellian rules. Finland actually felt like a free heaven to raise my children in comparison! I don’t see Portugal going any better than the Uk, but good luck to your family! At least you’ll have sunshine, the ocean and cheaper wine,
There are many people today -- my daughter is autistic, 13 and doesn't care about friends no matter how much i try and she eats for comfort.. It's not just males--- Scott
I have a problem with men who feel they are victims simply because men are now having to face some of the challenges that women and children have dealt with for thousands of years. You're currently feeling devalued. Join the club. You're currently feeling like you have no purpose. Join the club. Men have culturally derived their value and purpose FROM ascribing less value and purpose to others. Now men are being asked to find THEIR OWN sense of value and purpose. Find it from being good. Find it from being kind. Find it from being strong. That's what women have always done. I'm not trying to dismiss mens problems. I'm saying we're all in this together. It's messy. It's hard. This is a human struggle. Not a battle between the sexes.
@@N1h1L3you listed very low probability scenarios that never happen in most people's lifetimes. "Woke" was not co-opted. Those who used Woke in more original sense oversaw increased overreach of social justice narratives and didn't actively pull their allies back in. Focusing only on Black social justice and not condoning rioting... that could have kept Woke to its original meaning. But they didn't. And white saviors pushed it to everything and it's now ruined.
HAVING A CONVERSATION ABOUT DEI & TRUMP WITHOUT A SINGLE BLACK PERSON ON THE PANEL IS WILD. He's biracial and probably surrounded by non-Blacks, and likely has a non-Black partner. There isn't a chance hell he's ever going to bring that topic up in private, let alone on this platform. All skinfolk aren't kinfolk.
Exactly. Trans people are a fraction of the population and a fraction of them go through the most extreme things the ignorant moan about. They need care which is evident in the harms they experience exponentially greater than virtually every other demographic. Yet if we cede to the intolerant the most vulnerable suffer. I'm not interested in living in that society. Professional sports determines who a person votes for?! Garbage priorities.
An interesting and civilised debate. However, I did get annoyed that 3 men were talking about how men are having a bad time when women have only relatively very recently started enjoying rights! Why is there no woman’s perspective on this in the debate?
Recently started getting rights but ur more likely to get a job or promotion as a woman under DEI policies? What rights did u not have before? When did u start getting rights?
@ I mean in the grand scheme of things. Go back 2 generations and women had very few rights. Also if DEI gives women all these jobs, why are so few women at the top of companies?
I enjoyed this episode but it would’ve been awesome if there was ONE woman included in this particular discussion. 😄 We are half of the population, and it sort of shines a light on why DI programs are still important. Abolishing them will be another over correction rather than reform. I mean US doctors were still sterilizing black women without their knowledge or consent as late as 1973. Young CEOs seem to think that everyone in the business world is as socially liberal as they are, which is not true, the old guard still has a stronghold. One point that no one discussed in comparing business ecologies is the fact that the US has double the poverty rate as the UK. That doesn’t mean reform isn’t needed in the UK tax system, but we’re experiencing the second gilded age here in America. A second Trump presidency will fan those flames even higher. Oh and we’re literally on fire from climate change. I understand the frustrations with green initiatives but if we hadn’t put it off for so long we wouldn’t be here in a crisis. I wonder what the world will look like when Konstantin’s son is an adult. I wonder if he won’t shake his head in frustration that his dad was supporting the “drill baby drill” sentiment. I would really like to see business leaders take a more holistic approach to business ecology and discuss what is required to have a functional society rather than what are the best conditions for them to prosper. CEOs still see labor as something to exploit rather than consider as fellow citizens and neighbors. It wouldn’t be worth talking about if business didn’t have complete control of our government, but it does.
This is one of the best discussions I’ve seen in a while, it provided a lot of insights into many issues currently being tabled now with the necessary background to fully understand. Great way to cap it off by hearing from the Fathers. 👏🏾
A very disappointing discussion, basically taking place in an echo chamber, without a single representative of the progressive left, without a vision for a more just and egalitarian society. Probably to be expected from a group of rich (or would-be rich) entrepreneurs who glorify the world of social inequalities - a world where education isn't free, where the current economic model isn't condemned for its extractivist, profit-driven, ceaseless growth mantra, where taxes are seen as a path to social decline instead of a necessary expression of solidarity. No wonder there was no mention of the impending climate collapse. These people must be counting on Elon's ambition to inhabit another planet and take the most privileged with him. Good night, humanity, with such "leaders"!
USA has homes, they've never stopped building (least here in the tri-state area). It's just over priced. 6 massive "luxury" apartment complexes built in our small city in 2 years. They're half empty, and those that live there have roommates in order to afford them. Banks are also asking primo money for abandoned or crumbling Foreclosure homes. The space and houses are here, we just can't afford them.
I’m in Portland. The city has been hard at work justifying the creation of “low-income housing,” which upon completion the bureau have been unable to fill due to their being… you guessed it… too expensive. The “housing shortage” thing has always been the most obvious canard. Easy to sell on a population which feels overburdened by its cost of living.
Meh. Three males talking about what is still a male-dominated world, regardless of ethnicity or economic upbringing. Some interesting points, but feels a bit one-sided. Checked out of this one at the half way point and went to one of your other podcasts.
Yeah, I was gonna leave a comment along those lines. "Leading voices" and then it's an all male conversation about a world that's increasingly frightening for women. Figures.
The Uk has amazing entrepreneurs and creativity. We are controlled and repressed by the wealthy few. ‘Woke’ now has negative connotations, but it was born from seeking equality and celebrating diversity. The pendulum swings too far as it reacts to inequalities and discriminations. Hopefully we will find balance one day.
Why only men in this conversation? I just dont understand. Have a different episode with only women? Its just one sided. I love this podcast but this is disappointing for me.
@@orsolyakelemen5558but you are wanting inclusion of women in this particular conversation just for the sake of there being a woman by the sounds of it, why does there have to be a women? Why do the numbers have to be made up to suit your vision of what equality looks like.
Sure, making energy cheap while the world burns and floods, costing lives, makes complete sense. We had prosperity and lived in a world of low cost of living. We didn't invest in renewable energy then. We just indulged in the overconsumption of everything.

That explains why they voted for the Oligarchy
I agree, I felt like a woman on the panel and another poc would have been helpful for perspective
How many millionaires live in a country is not a measurement on how successful a country is.
Thank you for pointing this out!!
Exactly. Actually: quite the opposite. Is a clear show of unequalty
It's the size and growth of the middle-class
Because there more poverty then there is millionaire. That’s why you can’t measure success of a country like that. Base success of a country by no one going to bed hungry.

Thank you ! The comment I was looking for…
I don't see any educated women in the West who want to have children and a career not being able to do both.
@@V3NQM69 There is an incredible amount of ignorance in your comment, starting from "WE let you..."
It's not my job to educate you, but let's just put it this way.
Very concerning that in the conversation that DEI has gone too far, no one is talking about why it started in the first place
We didn’t have meritocracy before DEI instead we had 1. Old boys club i.e. men from the same schools and social networks hiring each other 2. Nepotism 3. Unpaid internships only available to the wealthy
How will rolling back DEI ensure meritocracy and not a return to old boys clubs and nepotism?

For example:
My mother went to work at the VA Hospital in the mid-Sixties.

Nailed it. Housing prices, education and health are is what is ruining the US.

Such a good comment. 100 % facts
You take any point in time before now and conditions to raise kids were always much worse than they are today. So no need for this drama.
Bravo!
The US cannot be compared to the UK. The US economy is HUGE! Just because they are both “countries” doesn’t mean they can be equally compared. A better comparison would be a single state in the US to UK, like Texas or California.
Even CA has at least 2x the economy of the UK.
Excellent point

Those “old people”, me” worked our whole lives and payed taxes into Ss & Medicare.
And now those in DC are going to cut it by the time I’m old enough to draw from it?
Why do you have young men in your basement?

For the DEI, many think it's only about racial minorities, especially Black people, but it's actually for women, people with disability, veterans, the LGBT community, etc. So many rejoicing it's thrown out may also be negatively impacted
Black woman here. We all know that DEI = 2 wrongs don't make a right. I worked hard all my life and reached where I have based on merit. I got into university based on my rankings. Not on DEI.
DEI is anti compassion. Because it isn't compassion. There are already rules about this. DEI was given the job not to the best person, but to the right color, sexuality or political stand.

On one hand though the internet can be a powerful tool for education. If we want true change we need to achieve class consciousness to realise that the wealthy are the ones intentionally ruining everyday peoples lives.

Spot on correct.
Exactly. Self interest is the only interest. Socialism for me but not for thee

Women weren’t on the agenda. There are plenty of podcasts that cover women’s issues. Can’t include every single “identity” into an hour 🙄
@@laztheripper I don't know if that's true in USA because I'm in UK but no one is getting a leg up or anything in the UK except the rich whose parents can get them into the best schools, internships etc and buy their first property for them.
It’s almost like women aren’t half of Americans.
We also need values, traditions, vision, future and connection with nature. Business is not everything
There lies the truth....our prosperity is being squeezed from us
We've created a society that focuses entirely upon prosperity and wealth growth. Anyone who even considers anything else is "woke" and a detriment to society.
So many people cannot seem to understand this. They’ve been brainwashed by the “Greatest country in the world” rhetoric.

Millions of women are done playing maids and mothers to grown men, so yeah, basically you're threatening is with a good time with that comment.
Right, so there needs to be some protection.
@@Towoawawabo8
Why do you think women want marriage more than equality?
The ones who do have been brainwashed, and go thru the "trad wife to poverty life" pipeline.
@@billpetersen298
When have men ever looked beyond their personal self-interest to offer real "protection" to others?
Their protection comes with subjugation.
Forget it.
Women will go at it alone, if men can't learn how to treat them as equals.
We can do that----we don't have to have children or husbands to have great lives.
Co-opting the word "woke" is one of the issues that really need to be discussed.
We all know what it means
This. Pisses me off more than I’d like. It’s so dumb.
Scott definitely has better answers.
An interesting and civilised debate. However, I did get annoyed that 3 men were talking about how men are having a bad time when women have only relatively very recently started enjoying rights! Why is there no woman’s perspective on this in the debate?
I thought the exact same.
100% really turned off by this and disappointed from DOAC team
Recently? Wtf are you talking about. Name a right women haven’t had since you were born?
Recently started getting rights but ur more likely to get a job or promotion as a woman under DEI policies? What rights did u not have before? When did u start getting rights?
@ I mean in the grand scheme of things. Go back 2 generations and women had very few rights. Also if DEI gives women all these jobs, why are so few women at the top of companies?
Scott is more thoughtful and honest than most who speak for his side. His advice to his sons is terrific, as were the others.
I was with you until that last part. Constantine's diatribe to his kid was a bunch of toxic bullshit.

This.
100% this. Thank you for writing what I was thinking.
Thank you. It’s quite frustrating reading some of these comments.
100%!
Distinct lack of empathy from the ubermenschen who know what's best for everyone.
💯 felt this too. Far less inspiring than I was expecting.
All I know is that when it comes to it… we will all go down together… privilegedness be damned… and inhabiting another planet is just a goofy thought…
And then complaining about male sexlessness and how bad they are
Yeah, I was gonna leave a comment along those lines. "Leading voices" and then it's an all male conversation about a world that's increasingly frightening for women. Figures.
Nope I as a female am happy, that men are trying to talk to defend themselves.
@@anajj4407 LOL Yup
The Uk has amazing entrepreneurs and creativity. We are controlled and repressed by the wealthy few. ‘Woke’ now has negative connotations, but it was born from seeking equality and celebrating diversity.
The pendulum swings too far as it reacts to inequalities and discriminations. Hopefully we will find balance one day.
It's crazy how underrated The Censored Guide to Wealth on Bovolorus is It's honestly eye opening
Bad bot. 447 likes in 10 minutes with little to no comments.
No woman …. Why bother listen to women leading voices ! That is quite crazy ( this is my unfiltered comment ) !!!!! It still blows my mind !
I had the same question. I'd love to see 3 equivalent women experts for a comparison.
😂😂😂
Why only men in this conversation? I just dont understand. Have a different episode with only women? Its just one sided. I love this podcast but this is disappointing for me.
@@orsolyakelemen5558but you are wanting inclusion of women in this particular conversation just for the sake of there being a woman by the sounds of it, why does there have to be a women? Why do the numbers have to be made up to suit your vision of what equality looks like.
Yeah but women don’t have to be in EVERY debate for it to be of value surely? x
Sure, making energy cheap while the world burns and floods, costing lives, makes complete sense.
We had prosperity and lived in a world of low cost of living. We didn't invest in renewable energy then. We just indulged in the overconsumption of everything.
