I grew up in the age before anyone had a mobile phone let alone these incredible devices like the S24U. I used to do a bit of SCUBA and remember the prices of waterproof cameras in the olden days. Any form of electrical technology like waterproof cameras even watches were not common at all. Even knowing that the S24U is waterproof I still wince when I see this expensive bit of kit put in water. I was cycling the other day with the phone on a holder on the handlebars. It started raining and I instinctually panicked wanting to keep it dry. I resisted the urge and left it there but it still felt very unnatural.
@DustinZilbauer for real, I've seen plenty of tests and I'm pretty sure it's efficient, but I'd barely even try to put mine into water even for a moment. Especially knowing that Samsung doesn't take drowning as a warranty case and wouldn't repair it for free
I tried this washing test on my Note 10 plus many years ago, until now the phone still works well. Since then from s22 ultra, s23 ultra and s24 ultra now I don't dare try it again, I know it is water resistant however it will be useful for unexpected accidents 😅
I ordered the titanium grey also, ten days ago and I haven't received it yet. I am getting concerned that I will not be able to claim the £250 worth it of gadgets by the time it will arrive :/

Thank you. I bought two otterbox style case with one being waterproof. The issue is the wayerproof case muffles some audio but not significantly, but still noticeable. After your video it gave me more confidence to go with the non waterproof caes knowing that if my kids get a hold of phone, liquids would not be too much of a concern.
Don't buy Samsung s24 ultra even by mistake. I had bought it 10 days ago. The camera got damaged in light rain. I took it to the service center and they refused saying that it would cost 20,000 and they returned it to me saying buy this mobile

I have a problem, which is that there is a gap between the screen and the frame. I can insert a piece of paper into the gap. Does the device you used in the experiment have the same gap? Please reply.
officialy labeled as waterproof, it shouldn't die because of water damage any part of the phone! The waranty will get u new phone or even if they dont accept that one court case will bring u compensation for like 20 new s24 ultras 🎉
a $1600 phone being put into the water multiple times. the s24 ultra can take a beating to an extent, but now we know if it rains we wont have to worry about losing a device we spent our hard earned money on. i wouldnt try this myself, but its still nice to know samsung is improving on their build quality. my black 512gb model arrives tomorrow and every video of it i watch im even more happier about my purchase. i would still buy a life proof case tho to be safe.
When I get home each day with my S22 Ultra, I wash my hands with soap and water, then proceed to do the same with my phone. But then again, I used to do the same with my Note 20 Ultra. Even better, I used to do that with my Note 8 as well.

It's rubbish after a bit of water don't take notice of this video I drop my phone in water for about 3 seconds I tried it it worked for a day then went completely off, water damage had to get it fixed
you said working perfect but i clearly heard some weird noise while the sound was playing after it was in the water of course dont know what that was could of just been the speaker clearing the water for all i know :/
My s22 ultra just got minecrafted by spending a couple hours in about 2 feet of pool water. I had it in my pocket in the lazy river at the water park. No matter what the rating says it is, phones are not waterproof. just dont.

I would do the same. I know my S24U is pretty water-resistant, but I would never want to test it.

that happened with all water proofphones you can shake most of it out but its just a waiting game will not damage device

Zrovna jsem utopil S23 ultra, 5 sekund ve vodě. Koupil jsem si S24 ultra a budu ho nosit asi v plastovém sáčku už samsungu nevěřím.
