This is a remix of the Philistine song from the Margaret Moonlight battle included on the PAL disc. As far as I know, it's never actually played anywhere in-game.
I had no idea this version was even a thing. What was up with this song, though? Like, they just couldn’t figure out how to do this one, there’s like thirty versions lol. This might be my favorite, not sure. Edit: It’s kind of a mix of the Japan and American/Pal version
The reason is since a music director for NMH2 choose special musicians from all over places and made them compose music for every single boss until it felt just perfect. For Philistine, it was nearly deadline time and they didn't have the version they fully wanted or imagined. In the end, they just removed the guitars since it didn't fit the theme of the boss, and made the version we know as american remix, the original one. Later they updated the theme with the 'japanese' version where it was fully fitting to what they originally thought of. These ain't fully confirmed so don't take my word fully, but it's kinda how it went down I believe.
Dauntaro This version sounds broken. Some lyrics are missing and her voice sounds heavily distorted. Unlike the US version which has little to no autotune or the JP version which sounds really nice, this sounds robotic and fucked up.
@theroyalpain Here here! If you compare the other one, it's kinda of more the basic of the two, guitar rifts, changing tone, swaying mood of the song, I really like this version~ It's so... sublime~
@BongaFish Nadia Gifford (the singer) is half-Japanese and lives in Japan, and so is not used to normal English pronunciation and prosody, I think. The same pronunciation issues come up in her work for Steambot Chronicles.
I'm kinda confused about which version I prefer. The US one is awesome, like HELL YEAH AWESOME but this sounds slightly more chaotic and inhumane which I think could be more appropriate for NMH.
I like the melody better in the JP version, but i appreciate the US version not having filtered vocals, plus the electric guitar in the background is more prominent.
This song plays instead of the original in the Margaret battle - at least in the Australian version it does. My only problem with it is the vocals become a little too soft to hear over the fight.
She pronounces it correctly as far as I'm concerned. I'm not 100% sure, but the ancient Philistine people came from the same area as Palestine, which no-one calls Palesteen do they? Apparently it descends from Latin Phillistinus, which I can only imagine is pronounced like "mine"
I actually prefer it. I didn't take notice of the song when I fought her during the game so I'm not sure if it's only in the Australian edition or something or it's just in the rematch.
Guess this is the canon version. As a song I prefer the NA version but as a theme for Margaret this is almost certainly the better fit. …BUT WHY ISNT IT ON THE SOUNDTRACK CD?!
I like the other remix better as far as the two go, just because the guitar melody comes out more so you don't just listen to a distorted guitar/bass in those seconds. However, I think I still prefer the original.
@CarmageddonHero Wouldn't you have to blame Pal not Suda? Since Pal edited the game for Australia/Britain Idk if Suda get's much say so after giving them rights to dub the game
For me personally, this version runs circles around the American version. The American one sounds like a half-assed all-girl band (not to say all girl bands suck) but this version seems more fitting for her character. I'm still not a fan of the lyrics, since it sounds like they put as much thought into it as the Hot Pockets theme (or slogan?), but this sounds like they put alot of thought into this mix But I know other people are nuts about the other version and I at least respect their opinion
I reckon it sounded better as background music; I didn't realise it was different in the US version until I went online. The full-blown track in the US version I must admit is far mroe distracting and somehow more annoying. :(
I hate auto-tune but it doesn't trump my hate for techno its just the new pop... if only they made this version without the auto-tune. In short: WHY!? Q_Q
Just heard this version on the switch port. Love it

If you can't tell the difference among this, Fukuda Mix, and the JP version, you need new headphones. Or new ears.

The faint part that kicks in at 0:48 is the best melody in the whole song, but you can barely hear it.
ho, sorry for my stupidity xDD
I really thought the link i sent was the NTSC (from USA) and the PAL version.
Thanks for clearing that up :)
I like the original version better, but I love the instrumentals on 1:31-1:52 in this version.
Hmmm they should have included both i'd love to hear both versions in the PAL version
A REMIX OF PHILISTINE?!?!?!?
OH MY GOD YES
Still catchy as hell.
I love the background melody x3 1:30
dude, I LOVE your photo, I really hope konami brings back the Boktai franchise someday.
Unironically the best one out of the 3
You have no idea how much regret I have that I cannot thumbs up that.

T-PAIN AS MARGARET MOONLIGHT
I just played this game and boss PAL and it was awesome in battle
I like the original, but I think this version goes better with a fighting atmosphere.
@imoyakichan
I guess she's just sounding the word out the way it's spelled on her lyric script, then, and nobody bothered to correct it.
@BongaFish Nadia Gifford (the singer) is half-Japanese and lives in Japan, and so is not used to normal English pronunciation and prosody, I think. The same pronunciation issues come up in her work for Steambot Chronicles.
I'm pretty sure this is the music in the PAL fight. It is pretty awesome.
@jeshie123
No, it's in all PAL-versions, always. I don't mind it either, though. Fits the fight just as well.
FUCKING AWESOME DRUMS!!!!
I dint know it had 3 versions lol
I'm kinda confused about which version I prefer. The US one is awesome, like HELL YEAH AWESOME but this sounds slightly more chaotic and inhumane which I think could be more appropriate for NMH.
i prefer the original version personally, but this is still pretty good :D
Idk how everyone loves the US version so much when the EU and JP versions are so much better.
I like the melody better in the JP version, but i appreciate the US version not having filtered vocals, plus the electric guitar in the background is more prominent.
JP >>> US > EU (which is just a completely butchered version of the Japanese one).
OMG! it's fantastic!
@Sokemon210Master What you heard was the Fukuda Mix, another version of this song and the one that was actually used for the battle.
In the French version of the game, the music plays during Margaret's fight.
@Romidamn I completely agree
this video can cure cancer
@ChaoGuy2006 Yeah it plays, played her match on Death Match today and heard this version, so yeah, we PAL users get this mix
...catchy as hell!
This song plays instead of the original in the Margaret battle - at least in the Australian version it does. My only problem with it is the vocals become a little too soft to hear over the fight.
i like this version over the others i have heard!!!!
@BongaFish
This is actually one of the accepted pronunciations. Not the most widespread, but technically correct.
@BurningDesertSpirit
great minds think alike
brilliant minds contradict but respect the others way of thinking ^_^
This might be one of the coolest things I have read some random dude in a RUclips comment section say. I miss when everyone was this innocent.
Sincerely this one is cooler to listen to while fighting, but when listening to it without playing, I prefer the American version
So cooL
She pronounces it correctly as far as I'm concerned. I'm not 100% sure, but the ancient Philistine people came from the same area as Palestine, which no-one calls Palesteen do they? Apparently it descends from Latin Phillistinus, which I can only imagine is pronounced like "mine"
I like both original and this...
*grabs flame sheild*
No, people might have said this already, but on my (PAL version) game, it plays this in the Margaret fight, instead of the "real" fight music
I actually prefer it. I didn't take notice of the song when I fought her during the game so I'm not sure if it's only in the Australian edition or something or it's just in the rematch.
@joeldipops actually you are 100% correct that is technically the proper way to pronouce it but it is a whole type of toMAYto toMAto type argument
This version is miles better in the game and is much more tense.
Seriously
@PurpleHearts10 Ugh I know. I'm American and I love the original, but I really like this one too.
sounds like it's playing inside of a radio at the start
This is definitely not in the EU version, I checked myself, we got the "Fukuda Mix" version.
It's the Australian version
Guess this is the canon version. As a song I prefer the NA version but as a theme for Margaret this is almost certainly the better fit.
…BUT WHY ISNT IT ON THE SOUNDTRACK CD?!
I fought magaret and heard this music in the background
@DevonAlexanderHess I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. Could you elaborate?
@tomontherun99 yeh I agree.
It plays on my edition all thetime. I have the UK version and you can't play the original.
I don´t get why they made a remix for the PAL version. Sounds good anyway.
This version might have been better for the fight, but I like the regular version for listening on my mp3 player.
This comment has certainly aged.
@TheIFR3AK glad someone thinks so, everyone i know prefers kesha .-.
@drizzitdude But you obviously loved it for the two minutes you watched it, right?
Damn you European version of NMH2!!
Didn't even realize we had the PAL version remixed. Or, does this not play in game?
I may not like it as much as the original, but it IS still awesome
I like the other remix better as far as the two go, just because the guitar melody comes out more so you don't just listen to a distorted guitar/bass in those seconds. However, I think I still prefer the original.
ur the highest quality possibel
@sharperknives lol exactly This isn't that bad, its when autotune is done tastefully its good, likw any other musical element.
preferring this over the US version
@XRaider666 yup: fukuda mix
like this one better for playing the game, but the other is better on my mp3
@imoyakichan
I just thought it was ironic for someone to mispronounce it.
This one is better than the original
@CarmageddonHero
Wouldn't you have to blame Pal not Suda? Since Pal edited the game for Australia/Britain Idk if Suda get's much say so after giving them rights to dub the game
pretty cool depends wat u like
I think it plays during deathmach against her.
@DevonAlexanderHess Oh I agree with that. But I didn't get the gothic/modern vibe from the US version either...
@sharperknives year of course :D
That would be called "having an opinion."

Way better than the USA version.

whats the differencen between this one and fukuda mix?
What's the difference between this version and the Fukuda mix? =S
You mean the remix?
As much as I like the autotune in beginning of the song (has sort of a radio effect), it doesn't really seem to gel with the rest of the song.
@BRiTDRAG2 not like the vocals weren't off key to begin with.
Any way to get this without the lyrics?
i'd say the US version is my favorite, i just prefer her voice without autotune
@jdteam0000 Yeah! :D
