It always makes me feel sorry for myself, when RUclipsrs say "Only 5 kills, could be worse", while I damn know that in my 12 years of playing planes, I've never reached that number in a single match of Air RB.
I've gotten 5 kills 2 in less than a year. I usually average 2 per battle. Unless I'm using a bomber. I've only been playing for a total of a year if that. Even though my account has been around longer.
My biggest problem with a plane like this is the fact that you can pull 11gs in it. For whatever reason Soviet planes have a very high g tolerance compared to even US planes which makes absolutely no sense. For comparison the 190 cannot pull more than 8gs despite the better high speed maneuverability and metal construction. I don't get it
tfym fw190 has high speed maneuverability, most fw190s have like a 23 second turn time on avg, which means you dont pull high gs, also zeros can pull more than 11gs sometimes and be in one piece

As for the Yaks, not only are the planes not capable of pulling as many G’s in real life as they are in game without breaking, the pilots also wouldn’t be able to withstand the G’s in real life either since they didn’t have access to G-suits. Gaijins flight models are not true to real life anymore than a cartoon is. Many planes are a lot faster to accelerate in real life as well, the Focke Wulf 190’s in general and especially the Dora’s, the F4U-4’s, Merlin P51’s at higher altitudes, the P47’s at higher altitudes, and more. The F4U’s and P51’s turn better and compress less in real life as well while retaining more energy. War Thunder is fun and I’m not going to stop playing, but a tooon of flight models are not true to the real planes.
@ViperPilot16 I 100% am with you. The yak 3 is overpowered. I flew the French yak 3 and the first match I got 4 kills. Don't even know how to play it. And I have little skill. The yak tech tree is unrealistic

The most annoying thing about Yaks is that they were garbage in war time. Not because it had poor flight performance, but it had terrible ergonomics for the pilot. How quickly a pilot reacts and is able to make the plane react, is statistically more important than sometimes even sizable differences in flight performance. There’s an account of 2 F4U-5’s in the Korean War carrying over 4,000 pounds of ordinance (I think it was more but I’m not for sure) and they were attacks by a group of 4 Yak-9’s. The Corsair pilots didn’t realize the yaks were the enemy until they had opened fire, at which point they engaged and the damaged Corsair was able to stay in the fight. The 2 Corsairs, while carrying they’re ordinance the whole fight and with one plane damaged, shot down 3 of the Yak-9’s and observed the 4th Yal-9 crashing on its way back to the airfield from damage it sustained in the fight. Both Corsairs proceeded to deliver their ordinance to the target and rtb. Yak’s are only as good as they are in game because there are no human factors at play, and Gaijin is a Russian company.
Oh yea with the TK-ing, got Teamkilled yesterday by 3 people in the same match because I was grinding Israel. (Killed me for political reasons, called me a Zionist and all that stuff (flying the 8.0 Meteor)
That's so stupid and hypocritical because I don't think those people teamkill every German plane because apparently all people who play Germany are nazis, by their logic.
1:15 is allot of the reason i fly my p-38G to stay away from the savages. side note bv-238 is easy kill if you go for the inner most engines or a wing its self.
I’ve killed one or two of these with my biplane. The ones I have the most trouble with are the bf 109s I’m not sure if the players are just aggressive as hell but they rip me apart.

I have something like a 3/1 k/d. In all my other planes, F-16 and F-14 excluded, I have negative K/Ds. This is the finest example of undertiered Russian bias. This could easily be a 3.7 plane.
I would love to see the fw 190 d9, not the d 12 or 13. Because of its more low alt engine at 5.0, i would love to get tips on how to use it just as effectively as the d 12

I see the target, and I make a turn, and I lose them, ground targets or planes alike. I use C key for free camera, but can't really fly with keyboard while using it because I am afraid I will crash my plane. Any suggestions on that? or I just need to get good
@@erichuang9940what i do is i see im about to black out i tap my elevator key and i never take my eyes off the target, and for the crashing you always wanna keep a small look on your alt and speed when dogfighting, i could probaby help you more if needed so just lmk!

Is there any way to practice this? And about speed and alt, how do I know which one I need under certain situations? @erichuang9940 you don't have to activate free camera because when you use the keyboard to control the plane your regular control doesn't work. I mean that you can point the circle at the enemy, but the plane won't turn there while you use keyboard controls, it will only respond to those.

These are the planes on which I learned how to play air RB better, I loved them. Now I understand that they are really flawed and certainly not the best, but still enjoyable, so I keep returning to Sweden from time to time. Those guns are the best of any piston fighter, IMO. Also, the design is super cool, very unique configuration.

Gaijins flight model design is pretty old. Turn fightets have always been questionabke. The instructor doesn't help.

The regular Yak 1 is amazing in ground as it has the 20mm for shooting helicopters and it has 2 fab 100s for bombing unsuspecting spaas

Nah it has very,very large weaknesses when you experience it, especially when you bring it over 2000m then the engine totally chokes out
