This is a pretty unique idea

Is it possible to accidentally remove the click by setting the release to hot? The black sear is still slightly behind the silver?

Yes, aligning the sears or having the black sear behind the gray sear will eliminate the click. There are a couple of positions that will create a no-click situation on the IBEX.
      1. If you move the gray sear too far from the wall on the ring finger side, the hook will not engage the gray sear and only engage with the black sear, thus eliminating the click and vibration.
      2. Alternatively, if you position the black sear too close to the gray sear, this can also eliminate the click and vibration, as the sears will be aligned too close and at the same level making the hook not engage the black sear.

I'm really interested in trying one of these...quick question. on this video, it sounds super loud...is that just a function of the speaker being close? Thanks!

The Ibex is very quiet. The Click is more of a vibration and is almost not audible. This is one of the main design features of the Ibex.

Checked it out today at the Western Hunt Expo in Utah today. Very well made. Activated very easily as I expanded. Wish I had more time with it.
