It was bad writing why was he chasing him for the whitewashed Aemond for no reason the books clearly have the evidence he wanted to kill him
Bad writing whitewashing Aemond for no reason why was he chasing him for it makes no sense at all all the Evidence in fire and blood says he wanted to kill Luce
@@kap2652 they have said multiple times that fire and blood was written by an archmaester called gyldayn and hotd is what really happened so it might’ve seemed to others that aemond wanted to kill luke but it’s not accurate
ngl, this quote is kinda dumb. targaryens/valyrians are bonded with dragons thru blood magic. so like their connection is almost something spiritual. viserys, someone who didn’t get to ride a dragon that long can’t de trusted with dragon lore. that’s how i felt when he said that.
@@annyeongshiho1154I get where you’re coming from but even though they have a connection that still doesn’t eliminate a dragon’s free will and nature which means a dragon will listen to their rider but dragons much like animals have free will as well which is how they can choose their rider and attack if they feel threatened so maybe that’s what viserys meant
It's not that Lucerys' dragon challenged Aemond's, it's that Aemond played too much and fueled his dragon's bloodiest. The small dragon was scared, just like Lucerys, so he reacted instinctively in self-defence against a dragon attacking him and his rider. The responsability lies on Aemond fully.
Correct, same thing would happen even with dogs. A stressed chihuahua would snap at a pitbull and get torn apart just the same...
Literally what I was thinking Arrax had every right to be scared being chased by Vhaghar
Vhagar forgot what year it was and thought a Dornish boy stole a dragon and said Don't worry Visenya, I got this!
also considering the scene where rhaenyra is going thru such a massive pain and we see her dragon screaming as well, i think there's a big connection between the dragons and their riders. so, if we consider that lucerys was scared af cause vhagar is enormous, it's kinda understandable that his dragon would be too, then reacting how he can...
Actions have consequences, the chickens came home to roost.
Dont cut peoples eyes out.. or finish the job if so
Never know who will hold a grudge, even years after, theres crazy people out there lol
"Prince Lucerys fell broken, to be swollow by the waves.
With his death the war of ravens came to an end, and the war of Fire and Blood began.
(...) Rhaenyra's heart turned black that day."
“Why’s she not laying down?” 😂😂😂😂 my guy, there are many different positions for giving birth, tv just lies to you.
Squatting is a more natural position to give birth, it's just more difficult for whoever is delivering the baby.
like sir when you're in that much pain who got time to be laying down lol
Well said!!
Laying down is actually the worst one! hahah boys
My 25 year old ass had no idea, thanks I actually learned from this thread hahah
Im disappointed all of them said it was Lucerys’ dragons fault….Aemon definitely shouldn’t have followed him. The baby dragon was just trying to protect himself and his rider.
It's really not their fault. The show writers made it confusing with how the dragons worked. The dragons should be listening once they're given commands.
Perhaps you can make the argument that there was a technical issue and that Aemond switching to common tongue in panic sealed Lucerys's fate. But that too, seems weird to me. Because I could've sworn they understand commands in common tongue too. Maybe with this scene they are making the distinction that, yes, Valyrian commands are more effective to control their dragons. Idk, it seems pretty vague.
One could say that Lucerys shouldve settled the beef in the hall instead of bringing his baby dragon into it, thereby bringing in old Vhagar as well.
@@rexibhazoboa7097 it wasn’t anything to be settled at the moment are you dumb? His grown ass cousin would’ve killed him probably either way. They flew in from different places. Aemond again had no reason to chase him in the storm……
@@happilyevernever4289 Viserys said in the show… they’re fools to think they can control the dragons. If a dragon is upset it’s going to act out of its own volition. Either way Aemond should have just gone home as Lucerys was doing. Everyone saying otherwise is just idiotic
Was going to comment this as well glad someone already did. Crazy to place blame on Luce.

there's no such thing called "usurping", whomever sit the throne WINS, this is the game of thrones, rhaenyra was stupid to rely on her daddy at everything and made enemies everywhere instead of playing the game she was on honeymoon with her pedo uncle WHILE the grees were keeping the realm at peace for 6 years.
he's no envoy, he's a bastard rallying rebellion against the crown.
rhaenyra refused to accept the peace terms and sent her sons to rally support for war, it's a direct declaration for war and an open rebellion against the crown to the greens, aemond was taking down a potential threat to his family (a dragon rider who can burn armies) blame the stupidity and of the coward rhaenyra sending her son ALONE "lord baratheon would be honoured to host a prince of the realm" THE STUPIDITY OF RHAENYRA IS PUZZLES ME 🤣

Just a roll of the dice where Aemond was going aha. Probably should have switched Damon to Baratheon in hindsight but who knows what high ranking official would be sent to Riverrun.
To Carter and Cannon asking how Daemon knew about Luce:
_Arrax fell, broken, to be swallowed by the storm-lashed waters of the bay. His head and neck washed up beneath the cliffs below Storm's End three days later. Prince Lucerys's body was never found_
reminder that arrax is a small dragon, a "child". aemond chased and tried to attack him and luke first, with a bigger and grown dragon, sensing luke's fear, arrax attacked once trying to protect his rider but later obeyed luke's commends. this is entirely aemond's fault he should take Vhaegar more seriously it's not a toy, Vhaegar is a dragon made for battlefield there's no such a thing as play or pranks, and in the show the writers did an unnecessary plot point by having vhagar lose control under Aemond ( book Aemond killed Lucerys by choice and not because he couldn’t control Vhagar)
Do you know how much bigger/ what size Jace’s dragon is?
@@yomamma.ismydaddy216Apparently Vhagar is roughly 150 metres long, Drogon is roughly 45-50 metres. Arrax is described as 5x smaller than Vhagar.
Edit: wingspan*
Exactly...I don't think they really have this enough thought
I wouldn't trust a book, Martin himself said that it's an unreliable source
@skeeterblake @tatihaq
the writers are supposed to be basing the show on the story of these unreliable narrators bc that’s the whole point in an adaptation of source material!
11:40 Rhaeny's face cracks me up every time "Meleys?! MY dragon??"
RIP to baby Luke 😭 He deserved better. With that, we begin the dance of dragons come June
she was like "excuse me??" lol love the actress playing her
Arrax panicked so it didnt obey, Vhagar got pissed so she didnt obey. There is always a bigger fish :P
But Aemond played with a war dragon, commanding it to give chase and scare Luke and Arrax, a baby dragon, by making it look like they will get vored.
@@happilyevernever4289 yup, and he didnt realize he would be able to hold her back
@@happilyevernever4289 luke shouldn't have gouged his eye out
Oh not only is Daemon more war-minded and has of course been to war before, but he has essentially been mentally planning his war against Otto and his family for the better part of THIRTY years
Plus during the great council that named Viserys heir Corlys was gathering ships to enforce Rhaenys/Laenor’s claim to the throne and upon hearing of it Daemon started gathering sell-swords and hedge knights to back up Viserys’ claim.
Aemond: I lost an eye but I gained a dragon.
Aemond 3 episode later: I want my refund!

@@HuguesMulumbawhich dragon or dragon rider won't be scared if they saw a big ass dragon like Vhagar chasing after them.. it's a small dragon and it got intimidated..
Yea they are so hypocrites
Can’t wait for The Bronze Fury, my man mf Vermithor. He was the dragon of the old king Jaehaerys that you saw briefly in the beginning of episode 1.
A little fun fact is that despite dragons normally being solitary animals, Vermithor is often seen spending his retirement with Silverwing - the dragon of Jaehaerys’ wife Alysanne.
I’m not crying . You’re crying
Reading Fire & Blood he definitely became one of my favourite dragons - can't wait to see him in his full glory
Silverwing is my fave. She flew over the Wall with Alysanne and some weird shit happened. Silverwing could not be commanded to pass the Wall, she refused even though Alysanne tried multiple times. They all just shrugged their shoulders and didn't investigate further which is frustrating 😂 but I assume it will come into play in the main series. In the books, when Jon and Ghost are on opposite sides of the Wall they cannot Warg into each other. So it's a magical barrier of sorts.
Yes, Vermithor and Silverwing have a thing going on...
dragons are bonded with their riders. they feel the emotions of their riders. arrax definitely felt lucerys needed protection that’s why he blasted fire towards vhagar. arrax did NOT provoke vhagar, aemond is to blame on what happened. vhagar being a war dragon did what she knows best.
dragon-rider connections shown on the series: caraxes felt when daemon was shot with arrow, vhagar obeying laena’s commands even if it kills her, syrax screaming/roaring when rhaenyra went to early labor.
Even so, I still don't think that once they start giving commands to their dragons, the dragons would disobey. Because that would open up a huge plot hole.
But then again, Aemond waaaass giving orders in common tongue and not Valyrian. Which is hilarious coz he was shit-talking Valyrian to Luke before. 😂😂 Maybe Aemond just panicked when Vaghar locked on Arrax, and that's what made him switch to common tongue, which Vaghar couldn't understand as easily. That..or he forgot the Valyrian word for stop. Perhaps Aemond wasn't studying as hard as he claimed he did to Crispin..😂😂😂
Well said , also none of these boys are mature or experienced enough to really understand the complexities of having a dragon, not mention the knowledge in order to to properly ride them and give solid commands, like you said with the different languages, these boys probably don't even know how their emotions can play a role in how their dragon will react! Aemond may not have wanted to kill Luke but his actions and emotions were the catalyst caused these events to occur and ultimately Luke's death. n@@happilyevernever4289
@@happilyevernever4289 'He forgot Valyrian word for stop' I''m dead 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, it seems Aemond wasn't studying that hard indeed, lmao
@@happilyevernever4289 yeah, aemond is not as smart or clever as he think he is. he was dumb to think that it was okay to have his dragon, a war experienced dragon, to scare and chase his nephew for fun. imo, vhagar not following his commands just shows that they don’t have a deep bond.
@@annyeongshiho1154the last part is false. Arrax also did not listen to Luke and they had a good bond. Drogon didn’t listen Daenerys a lot of time too and the bond was strong. Ewan Mitchell also say in a interview that Aemond see Vhagar as a friend so the bond is clearly good. Dragons are just aren’t slaves. If they don’t want to listen to their master, they won’t.
It wasn’t Lucerys’ dragon’s fault, not one bit. Aemond, being the adult, was *entirely* in the wrong for even allowing his fully-grown, war fortified dragon to chase after a fourteen year old and his baby dragon. Like, of course Arrax would be terrified and attempt to defend himself. and of course Vhagar would be triggered, being the war dragon that she is, and act without regard. Aemond should’ve known better. And it doesn’t help that he intended to kill Lucery’s in the book
Everyone seems to forget that Vhagar is a war dragon and she took that as an attack but arrax was scared he was a baby you think of how big Vhagar is compared to arrax also arrax could feel Luke’s nervousness aemond is at fault for using a massive old dragon to taunt a child
Exactly. And Aemond wasn't just encouraging Vhagar to taunt Luke, he had her diving and snapping at the younger boy and his juvenile dragon. How the heck were Luke and/or Arrax supposed to guess that Aemond didn't want them dead when Aemond's huge warrior-beast was attacking them? Of course Arrax would spurt flame at Vhagar, he had no other way of protecting himself and Luke. It's Aemond's fault entirely. Dragons are smart, but they're still animals. If I go to the dog park with my dog, and a situation develops where aggression is sparked with another dog, and I don't do my best to de-escalate the conflict by commands, leashing, calling my dog away, then any resulting fight or injury is not the dogs' fault. (luckily, my last dog was always willing to walk away from a confrontation, but I was always watchful of his body language and that of the other dogs)
Lucerys' dragon only attacked vhaegar with fire because it was also scared and wanted to escape.
I was so upset when it happened but the visuals is 🔥 ngl
Lucerys’ dragon is also not full grown I don’t think because they grow up with their dragon. So his dragon is also essentially a little kid by comparison to Vhaegar who is old and experienced. Was probably terrified and panicking 😢
Arrax: **exists**
Vhagar: And I took that personally
22:20 That's Vermithor the Bronze fury
He's one of the oldest and like second biggest Dragon after Vhagar. Vermithor once belonged to King Jaehaerys but since the old king past away Vermithor became riderless.
There are three other wild Dragon's on Dragon Stone, SheepStealer, Grey Ghost and Cannibal.
Cannibal is one of the most unique and mysterious of the three wild Dragons, he's well known for eating other Dragons especially hatlings and eggs. Cannibal is also known to be quite large too some say bigger than Vhagar or the same size as Balerion the Dlack Dread. Cannibal is also quite old some say he was already there on Dragon Stone before the Targaryens arrived there.
8:26 "She was my only daughter and they killed her, they stole my crown and murdered my daughter, and they shall answer for it." - Rhaenyra Targaryen
Will forever be pissed they didn’t use this line. Little Visenya deserved to be named. That heartbreak of losing her only daughter should’ve been addressed
Actually, it's just been confirmed that House OfThe Dragon Season 2 is releasing in June 2024, in three months.
👏🎉
"his stupid little dragon provoked vhaghar" i mean no, bc vhagar was literally chasing him and trying to scare the dragon. Luke's dragon was trying to defend itself. Aemond started this bc of his stupid little "revenge" and now he started a war
Exactly!
8:26 Visenya was born dead, twisted, malformed, with a hole in her chest where her heart was supposed to be and a dragon's tail with scales.
28:41 The way the video got blurry when you took off your sunglasses and it got clear again when you put it on again was sick 😅
Ha ha I noticed that too.. I thought I was bugging out
I love Aemond as a character, but he was so stupid in this scene. He was inexperienced as a dragon rider, and since Vhagar was hundreds of years old and trained for war, it was OBVIOUS that he wouldn't be able to control her properly. If he hadn't let his ego dominate him, so many tragic things could have been avoided.
if lucaerys cared to apologise at least or not take his eye to begin with INSTEAD of still laughing at the pig joke, like i don't blame aemond for turning out this way, even his father and older sister sisn't give f about him loosing an eye.
@@jamien368Stop making excuses for the moron seriously he was very stupid in this
That's just a show invention, in the book Aemond just goes there and kills him no questions asked.
Nothing would have been. War would happen either way. Daemon wouldn’t rest with Aegon on the throne
@@reinsaxony4623not true- he got pissed off because one of the daughters he didn’t choose mentions that he’s basically a half man and handicapped and wouldn’t want him anyway. And then Luke being there didn’t help.
Daemon choked Rhaenyras because he felt betrayed by Viserys and realized how he truly wasn't even considered as an heir.
Just to note, that the source material of HotD is completely written yes. However, GRRM wrote/is writing GoT in first person from various character point of views. HotD source material (Fire & Blood) is written as a history book by the maesters of Westeros, and like even our own history books, some history is written in favor of one side over the other. Just something to remember....
DRAGON LORE TIME!!! (the dragons that Daemon mentioned at the war council)
Obviously we all know Syrax (Rhaenyra's) Caraxes (Daemon's) and Meleys (Rhaenys')
He mentioned Vermax (Jaceerys') Arrax (Lucerys') Tyraxes (Joffrey's) and Moondancer (Baela).
The three unclaimed dragons: Seasmoke (Laenor Velaryon's dragon that we saw in ep3 battling the Crabfeeder in the Stepstones), Silverwing (mount of Queen Alysanne Targaryen, sister-wife to King Jaehaerys I) and finally..... (the dragon that Daemon sang to)
Vermithor "the Bronze Fury", mount of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen
Then there are the three wild dragons: Sheepstealer, Grey Ghost, and (my personal favorite) The Cannibal who is thought to be older that Balerion the Black Dread and believed to have resided on Dragonstone since before the Targaryens settled there, and got his name because he eats young hatchling dragons and dragon eggs.
The dragons that have seen war (obviously, not against other dragons) are: Vhagar, Vermithor, Caraxes, and Seasmoke (if you count the events of ep3 as war)
In Targaryen history, prior to these events, dragons have only fought dragons once before. Balerion the Black Dread ridden by Maegor I Targaryen against Quicksilver ridden by Prince Aegon Targaryen, son of King Aenys I Targaryen, in a battle of succession. Afterwards, Maegor became known as "Maegor the Cruel" and a kinslayer throughout the realm.
Yeah the maesters are also from old town, where they go to have a formal education. Which is also the city the Hightower are lords of. History was definitely rewritten against rhaenyra
GOT, or rather, ASOIAF, is written on third-person limited, not first person.
@@defrteIt wasn't written against Rhaenyra, one source of pro-Rhaenyra, one source is pro-Aegon and the other one is neutral.
Welcome to the world of Game of Thrones boys. So happy
You guys watched it. There's no world greater than The Song of Ice and Fire. HBO is King
Honestly so many good HBO series these guys might enjoy. GoT, Leftovers, White Lotus…
19:00 52 houses supported Rhaenyra and 28 houses supported Aegon II.
Arrax at this point was a teenager that seen NO type of war yet, y’all need to understand no they can’t exactly control the dragons but they do have a very deep bond Arrax felt luke was scared and did exactly what any dragon would for their dragon rider protect them. The issue is a stupid boy thinking he can “play” with a dragon when she obviously doesn’t see it as a game and felt he wanted to hurt luke in the show it’s obviously different they make it out like an accident when it wasn’t in the books.
That big, old bronze dragon that Daemon was trying to recruit was Vermithor, which is the now-riderless dragon that once belonged to King Jaeherys I, who was that old king from the beginning who had no heirs and held the council that ended up picking Viserys as the next king instead of Rhaenys. Vermithor is indeed huge and very old. He's the second and biggest and oldest of the currently living dragons after Vhagar.
Aemond is such a loser for this man. The consequences for this are on him. The small dragon was just trying to protect itself. Of course, it's not going to listen because it's never been trained for war, Rhaenyra's said it. The dragon was young and still growing. Now Aemond is just a shit Dragon owner, so of course he couldn't control Vhagar. What he could've controlled was not chasing this poor kid who said he wasn't going to fight. He was just a messenger.
This shit has layers because he just killed the next in line for Driftmark, so the Velaryon's will be extra pissed. Now he has a war, and they will be going straight for his head, not just his brother's.
Rhaenyra's is definitely not going to hold back next season she just lost her father and 2 children in the span of hours. Her plus Daemon is understandably going to be a vicious duo.
It’s like playing around with a gun and accidentally shooting someone
Blood and Cheese...Blood and Cheese.
@@TheRaddishKingI'm intrigued to see how that plays out in the show. @@yomamma.ismydaddy216 The only difference is people have full control over guns, whereas controlling dragons fully is as Vicerys says, an illusion

Vermithor was the dragon of the old king at the start of the show. He is at the moment the unconfirmed 2 largest dragon. He's know as "The Bronze Fury" my personal favorite dragon. He's also got a lady friend in Silverwing who was the dragon of the Old Kings wife.
“No bleed need be spilled”
SHE MISCARRIED FROM STRESS BROUGHT ON BY THEIR TREACHERY AND OBFUSCATION OF HER FATHERS DEATH
She had a dragon baby. Targaryen women sometimes birth babies with scales a tail and no heart. Sometimes even wings. Look at the prob used for her daughter. If I remember correctly she also had a dragon baby in the book. These children miscarry easily and even when carried to full term, they are born dead.
She had the miscarriage because of stress and I felt so sorry for her watching this! It's horrible. Visenya, miscarriage or not, was never viable. She would have never lived.
It's not fully known why Targaryen women have dragon babies, but a theory is that they were altered or "created" with blood magic and that that bloodmagic gives them the power to bond with a dragon. But it comes with a price.
In Game of Thrones Melissandre uses f.e. Stannis, Gendry ect for "kings blood". What is meant by that is that they have Targaryen ancestry and she uses the magic in their blood to see visions ect.
I hope that explains it a little bit.
Great reaction as always. Also, Jack saying this is better than got is a crazy statement and his reason being more dragons but its alright tho, maybe its recency bias like Mckay said.

36:55 In the book, when Aemond tells Alicent that he killed Lucerys (in the book he killed him because he wanted to, not by accident) Alicent instantly turns pale as parchment and says: "Gods protect us". 💀😂
Btw. The book version of this event makes more sense to me tbh. Aemond held a grudge against Lucerys for many years, and as soon as the signs of war appeared, he took advantage of the situation and killed his nephew with satisfaction on his face, not regret as we've seen in the show. Imo book version more suits to his character and his motives. For the first time, we've actually seen Aemond as what he really is when adult- a psychopath. He's dangerous, serious, untamed, and literally a menace in the book.
In the series, Aemond looked like an idiot who thought teasing his nephew on the Vhagar (serious war-veteran dragon) was a great idea... lmao. He looked more like a dumb teenager than a serious threat, unfortunately. and what exactly was the command? 'Just tease him, Vagar!' in Valyrian?? lol. This is ridiculous. This scene definitely did dirty to Aemond, imo.
rhaenyra was not informed about her father’s death for days, her throne usurped, went to early labor and lost her daughter, and her son was murdered. whatever she does on season 2 is justified.
She and Viserys reaped what they sowed quite frankly. Also an eye for an eye makes the world blind and in the end people despised Rhaenra more than they ever did her brother as a result. Even Daemon couldn't stand the sight of her anymore in the end, which speaks volumes...
@@SimplymeSVEN18 “reaped what they sowed” which team gets the throne in the end? which bloodline was wiped out? if people hated rhaenyra more than aegon then why did her allies continued to fight for her and aegon was poisoned by his own men?
@@annyeongshiho1154 By the end of the main series all Targaryens will be extinct. Thanks to Rhaenyra and Daemon's multitude of incompetent descendants. Dany and her brother were reduced to beggars in Essos and if GRRM ever bothers finishing the books she herself will meet her end and her house will die with her.
Because the people who kept fighting for her hadn't actually met her yet. They didn't know how much of sick joke she had become. The North only joined her because they were bought and wanted a princess married into their house. That and Cregan Stark liked Jace. The Vale only joined her because Jeyne was in the same boat and not joining Rhaenyra meant jeopardizing her own right to rule. As for Aegon, the man was seriously injured in battle and went mad from the pain he endured or so they say. At least he didn't go out as a pile of dragon shit...so there's that.
Don't forget the part where the people of KL rise up after Helaena's death; murder all the dragons, including Rhaenyra's, tear her son Joffrey to pieces and force her to flee back to Dragonstone.
Hightowers still doing really well however; even if Oldtown is currently under threat it's unlikely to impact the family given how many Hightowers there actually are. Leyton alone had 10 children iirc. So in the end the Hightowers won.
There is a **huge spoiler** for House of the Dragon in Game of Thrones S3E4. Joffrey is showing the Sept of Baelor to Margaery Tyrell and shares some of its history. He further explais, in detail, the fates of some of the characters in House of the Dragon. The boys may want to delay going this far into GoT until S2 of HotD finishes.
At the very least they could skip the 10 or 20 seconds where Joffrey says the spoilers
I also commented this and am replying to help boost your comment. Hopefully they see this!
Yep this ruined it for me on a rewatch
I wish this wasnt given to reactors, would be nice to see their reaction to it and be spoiled for them like it has been for the rest of us. 😂
I’ve been waiting for y’all to get to this episode for weeks! So excited to watch
I can't wait for these converts. Also thank you for announcing GIT is tomorrow cuz i tuned in so fast to see if you'd announce it and i didn't have to wait!!
Season 2 was filming in North Wales, where I live. my friend got to be an extra (soldier) while they were filming here and said it was such a cool experience. I'm so excited to see the shots because it's so beautiful here.
The book for this show is done but it's written from the POV of maesters who heard rumors about what was going on, while the show shows us what *actually* happened.
GRRM will probably never finish ASOIAF (the book series GOT is based on) as he's 75 now and he still has two books to release on this but he keeps writing side-projects and have apparently not even started writing the final book.. The first book ("A game of thrones") was released in -96 and the fifth and most recent ("A dance with dragons") was released in 2011 so he takes his sweet time writing it that's for sure. Even the book this show is based on ("Fire & blood") was released after A dance with dragons, in 2018. End of 2022 he said he had about 500 pages left to write of the sixth ("The winds of winter") but then he said pretty much the same thing a year later.
@20:15 Them: “This is going too well, I just know Aemonds gonna take a dub”
Us knowing he catches the most unintentional body in a savage jumpscare ass way.: “👀👀👀”.
Dragons and their dragon riders have this psychic connection, that's why a dragon only has one rider at a time. My interpretation is that both Luke and his dragon were scared as fuck, so the dragon acted on impulse (and he did not have experience) based oh their feelings (Luke and dragon) at that time. The same goes for Vhagar and Aemond, I think both were just bullying their foes but the minute Vhagar got blasted she was angry and Aemond lost control over her.
Yeah, I also noticed that the more experienced riders, such as Daemon and Rhaenys, don't rely on verbal commands to bring their dragons to heel, as opposed to the younger riders. Their control over the dragons is telepathic.
That’s not lucerys fault at all… Aemond took that big ass WAR dragon to chase baby arrax and lucerys. He was taunting & chasing him. What you think would happen ?
He knows he's a fraud and stills acts high and mighty. It was deserved
Aemond started chasing the boy with a huge ancient war dragon for fun but sure, let's blame Lucerys' dragon for getting scared💀
Ye both animals just reacted like animals loll
omg you guys are my favorite channel i jumped when i got the notification
I am SO PUMPED for your GOT reactions!
Aemond is one of the best looking characters, the sapphire eye is just too cool
love the behind the scenes footage of him, seems like a sweet guy
Have you seen the Last Kingdom? He plays a monk, a warrior monk. Completely opposite to Aemond.
@@LH_ore i saw it, he looked totally different, man has range
BOY I’m HYPED FOR GAME OF THRONES
Such a crazy finale, the next season will be insane! And you guys starting / re watching GoT... damn that will fill the waiting period perfectly.
Y'all are great! 👌
Your reactions are hilarious! Haha just wait for that first episode of season two.
List of everyone's dragon for future reference: (From biggest to smallest in size, and while size does matter with dragons, battle experience and the rider also matter)
1)Vhagar - Aemond Targaryen's green she-dragon (Biggest, strongest, most experienced, on paper unbeatable by anyone else right now, basically a Hydrogen Bomb Tsar Bomba)
2) Vermithor - Unclaimed on Dragonstone bronze colored (King Jaeharys's old dragon - he was king in ep 1, lots of battle experience)
3) Sheepstealer - Unclaimed wild dragon on dragonstone brown (Wild and never claimed, but big)
4) Silverwing - Unclaimed she-dragon on dragonstone silver colored( Queen Alysanne's old dragon- Jaehaeyr's wife, no battle experience)
5) Dreamfyre - Haelena's blue dragon (no battle experience but mother of most big dragons)
6) Caraxes - Daemon's blood red dragon (deformed serpentine dragon with a lot of battle experience and has the most experienced rider)
7) Meleys - Rhaenys's rusted red she-dragon (fastest dragon in the world, not a lot of battle experience tho)
8) Syrax - Rhaenyra's yellow she-dragon (No battle experience, also a mother type dragon, would get stomped on by most middle sized dragons)
9) Grey Ghost - unclaimed wild dragon on dragonstone grey (quite and shy, avoids people)
10) Sunfyre - Aegon II's golden dragon (the most beautiful dragon in the world but no battle experience, its like a lambo in a world of batmobiles, looks cool but would get stomped in a fight)
11) Tessarion - Daeron's deep blue she-dragon in Oldtown (he wasnt in this season but hes Alicent's youngest son who is living in oldtown as a ward, its blue and is very impressive in fight in the future)
12) Seasmoke - Laenor's misty grey dragon seen in ep 4 (lots of battle experience, MVP fighter dragon can beat much bigger dragons)
13) Vermax - Jacaerys's light green dragon (not much experience, kinda on the smaller side
14) Moondancer - Baela's dragon (Another MVP fighter dragon)
15) Arrax - Lucerys's grey dragon (Small, a bit bigger than a couple of horses, fodder rn)
16) Tyraxes - Joffrey's dragon (Small af barely rideable)
17) Stormcloud - Aegon's [Rhaenyra and Daemons's son] dragon (small, barely rideable)
18) Shrykos - Jaehaerys's [Aegon and Haelena's son] dragon (baby dragon) same
19) Morghul - Jaehaera's [Aegon and Haelena's daughter] dragon (baby dragon)
0) Cannibal - Unclaimed wild dragon on dragonstone, (size unconfirmed but possibly the biggest ever seen)
I would classify dragons into 4 categories based on size: Big, medium, small and baby dragons. They would be as follows:
Big dragons: Vhagar, Vermithor, Sheepstealer, Silverwing, Dreamfyre, Cannibal.
Medium dragons: Caraxes, Meleys, Syrax, Sunfyre, Sea-smoke, Tessarion, Grey Ghost.
Small dragons: Vermax, Arrax, Tyraxes, Moondancer.
Baby dragons: Storncloud, Shrykos, Morghul.
As you can see, on average even though the greens only have 4 dragons (Sunfyre, Vhagar, Tessarion and Dreamfyre), their dragons are on average much larger and Vhagar on her own can change the game on her own. The blacks have way more dragons, but their dragons are all on the medium and smaller side, with only Caraxes and Sea-smoke(which is currently unclaimed) being actually impressive fighters. Meleys is the fastest but has no battle experiece because her 2 riders never rode her into battle, and Syrax is a glorified private jet for Rhaenyra. This does not count the unclaimed dragons.
Dead dragons:
Balerion - Aegon I "the conqueror" 's dragon, last riden by King Viserys before its death (biggest ever in westeros, it was bigger than Vhagar with CENTURIES of battle experience, was the last living creature to see Valyria, basically the size of two A380's on top of each other, died of old age)
Meraxes - Queen Rhaenys's she dragon (Aegon I's sister's dragon) (super big, died in battle in dorn)
Quicksilver - King Aenys's dragon (died in battle while being riden of Aenys's son Prince Aegon against Balerion riden by King Maegor who chomped him up in the last great war in westeros 60 years ago)
Not mentioning future dragons not yet born - Morning, Drogon, Viserion, Rhaegal, Last unnamed baby dragon who died at birth.
There's a pretty reasonable theory that Dreamfyre is the mother of Daenerys' three dragons, via three eggs that were stolen from Westeros decades or more before "House of the Dragons" begins, and supposedly brought to Essos and then disappeared.
@@gailf1617 yeah I saw the Elissa Farman theory after reading Fire and Blood. Seems very plausible.
Rhaenyra is more realistic about the dragons they have. Daemon says they have 13 dragons against the 4 that the greens have, but many of those dragons are small and haven’t been to war. Realistically, Meleys and Ceraxes are their biggest assets. The greens all bonded with fully grown dragons, which means they have the advantage in size over most of the dragons on team black. I’d say the greens and the blacks are more evenly matched when it comes to dragons, at this point in the story. But later? who knows. We saw Daemon trying to get another battle trained dragon on their side, but we don't know who they could get to ride it.
This will mean nothing, but I cannot wait to see the hammer on screen lol
According to Daemon, the greens have 3 dragons, so I'm guessing Daeron doesn't exist in hotd?
i think he says "3 adults" and tessarion is not an adult yet ig, plus later on daemon says "13 to their FOUR" including tessarion here! GRRM confirmed daeron's existence in the show, but he apparently wont be in season 2
@@TabooTalz “Dragonstone has 13 to their 4” I guess Tessarion is still not considered an “adult” in the show..
@@vbb2076 it's crazy that they haven't mentioned him even once in S1, not even in passing 😭
omg i’m so stoked yinz are gonna watch Game of Thrones next!!!!!
SO excited for your GoT reactions
Vhagar is big and strong, but it’s also old and sluggish.
I AM TOO EXCITED FOR GAME OF THRONES. YOU ARE NOT READY
It is 100% Aemonds fault that Lucerys died, the guy was waving a loaded gun that was alive and could think for itself and is somehow shocked it went off? Lukes dragon was acting like any animal would thinking it was about to be killed by another animal.
Had fun rewatching HOTD with u guys..
now im excited to rewatch GOT
lets go! 😏
**3 seconds in…**
"Tomorrow, Game of Thrones"
**subscribes immediately.**
Breakdown on the death of Luke.
Aemond chased down Luke and Arrax and wanted to scare them and Vhagar felt the malice in him , Arrax felt Lukes fear and its own and did what he could to defend his rider. Vhagar became pissed and killed them both so now no matter how ppl will try to spinn it it will look like Aemond chased him and killed him by his own accord. Now he is a Kinslayer so basically he is now cursed. Even Otto and Alicent will be pissed of at Aemond for this.
Am glad you guys will embark on the journey that is GOT. All the way from Spain
Dragons react to the emotions of their riders. Aemond wanted to toy with Lucerys, so Vhagar riled his dragon up and it got scared and acted in defense. Aemmond wasn't trying to kill them but it is definitely not Lucerys fault.
As you start GoT watch out for Hotd spoilers. I think the major one is in the beginning of season 2 but there may be a list out there somewhere
It's in season 3, it's the scene between Joff and Margery in the Sept of Baelor
The dragon battles in season 2 are gonna be crazy. You guys should do a reaction to the season 2 trailer
AGREED! Season 2 is going to be LIT
If they watch it at all they should react to it but sometimes it’s better to go into things blind, I don’t think they watched the trailer for this season
22:36 Vermithor "The Bronze Fury" belonged to the old King Jaehaerys Targaryen, grandfather of Daemon and Viserys, Silverwing belonged to Queen Alyssane Targaryen, wife of Jaehaerys and grandmother of Daemon and Viserys.
Was I the only one who noticed the camera going blurry when he took his glasses off and then focused again when he put them back on?😂
No, you were not 😂 I felt represented at that moment 😂
@@Hania2207 Haha I'm glad. I had to take my own glasses off because I think I was going nuts 😂
People are not pointing out that Lucerys was playing around with a knife, gouged and permanently disabled somebody and never showed ANY remorse, never apologized. Instead he laughed in his face about the dumb pig. Wtf did he think that Aemond was going to let that slide?
Joffrey was the one who took Aemond's eye after he pushed him into dragon shit.
@@itsthatgirl98_ Aemond bullied the three-year-old Joffrey in the book, but it was still Luke who took Aemond's eye in the fight.
Luke was a scared, upset eight-year-old child in the fight. His judgment was not the best. Either was Aemond's, insulting the two girls and then not apologizing for the insult. I blame Rhaenyra and Laenor, especially Rhaenyra, for Luke's lack of apology, she should have sat her son down and told him that it is very wrong to shed the blood of kin. But Rhaenyra was so incensed about the bastardy accusation that she couldn't backtrack from her arrogance and Luke emulated her (coupled with his memory of Aemond's attack on Jace and himself). Viserys should also have insisted that Aemond apologize to Baela and Rhaena for insulting them. Daemon should have insisted that Rhaena and Baela apologize to Aemond for striking the first blows; but, knowing Daemon, he probably told them how proud he was of them (because he would have done the exact same thing at that age). So all the adults let down the kids.
OMG I can’t wait for a Game Of Thrones watch along its peak fiction😮❤
OK, I got a good chuckle at it going out of focus when you took your glasses off
OMG I'M WAITING FOR THIS REACTION
anything rhaenyra does next season is 100% justified
Let’s….. goooooo team black and red all day!!
Vhagar (basically a war veteran) is a 100 and something years old while Arrax was like 13ish. Of course the baby gonna be terrified with that beast chasing it. Come on guys
Oh I’m so excited for yall to watch game of thrones rn
Team Daemon and Rhaenyra all day!
If you think house of dragon is good, it’s nowhere close to GOT. GOT is house of dragon x10
In the books it is said that when riding a dragon you use your feet and reins exactly the other way around as when riding a horse. With a horse you hit the side you don't want to go because their instinct is to flee danger. When riding a dragon you hit the side you want to go because a dragons instinct is to turn to the danger and attack. That is what Arrax did, he was being hounded and attacked so he attacked back, fleeing isn't a dragons way of handling danger.
My dudes thanks for the house of the dragon journey! Can’t wait for season 2 to start but even also even more excited for you guys to start game of thrones!!!!!! As action Jackson and mr McKay have said, you guys don’t even know. Though you definitely have an idea of what to expect based off watching house of the dragon first. It prepares you for watching GOT but it also enhances the GOT experience as opposed to diluting it
