No problem. Using the selection tool click on the rays, then using the top menu go Object > Expand Appearance, then Object > Expand. You can then select each individual ray/stick using the direct selection tool.
Here the 'Document Colour Mode' is CMYK. If you double-click on the stroke colour (on the lower left part of the screen), this window should appear. The 'only web colours' box is unticked. Hope that helps!
