Thank you!!!!!! More return of serve content, especially for doubles.
Interesting how the fundamentals of the return is similar to the volley.
Excellent explanation Kevin! I have a single hand backhand like you, I clearly don’t do the outside leg/push - this is really going to help me. Thank you !!
Always love the drills you add to the explanations. Thanks!
Super, the lack of “backswing” but think shoulder swing!
that is accurate for only one relationship between perception time and distance to the ball; understanding the concept that determines those interactions with where the centre of mass is moving before the near foot begins descending explains all the variations. Simply watch any video with many great returns by many players to see those variations, even if you don't see the reasons for them
awesome video!!
Such an ICON
Thanks Kevin
I love!!!
Thanks
Do you teach at a club or have clinics somewhere. I'd like a private lesson?
The other two things I notice is he hits almost flat with a horizontal swing - very little low to high here - and the more rushed he is the more he pre-drops the racket as the racket drop takes time. Important as even if you get the everything else right having a big racket drop will make your stroke slower and hence harder to time. A low to high swing path will mean your racket is lined up with the ball for a much shorter time then a horizontal swing making it harder to get a clean contact.
Where do u teach? Which club. I'd like to get a private lesson ??
Studio Kev is great too
