Democracy is a system of government by the whole population or eligible members of a state. We have rights to choose who we think can help build the country better and that has not been taken from us at all. So democracy is fully in action in our country. The problem is who we choose to represent us and govern our country. We keep selecting the same leadership which has disappointed time and again and expect different results. Well, democracy is not about getting better or worse. It's about making the choice together on who we want to lead and help us build the country. It's that simple...

Democracy is very much alive in SA, people have the choice to elect their leaders through the election ballot system, if you are not happy with your leaders or the way they are ruling, VOTE them OUT in the next election...... Simples ! 😊If you keep on voting the same crowd in or if you haven't bothered to register to vote, well then you have no right to complain with the outcome and live with the consequences of your choices for the next 5 years.

Democracy is simply the right to vote for who you want to govern you. Nothing more.
Socialism is a method of governing where the focus is on rights and an egalitarian society.
Capitalism is an economic principle of government where individuals have the right to own their own property and to freely trade goods for profit towards prosperity.
In ways these three things compete with each other. And in a way all three are needed for a functioning society.
If they become confused, that is the first step in not really having any of them.
