    I've recently become a huge fan of Squier and Epiphone. I also have Warwick, Rickenbacker and Music Man. It aint the money, it's the guitars, they're awesome, way more than you pay for.

    • @whitey129
      @whitey129 8 лет назад

      I can't agree regarding Squier or Epiphone. Owned a few of each and can't say that any of them have seemed nicer than the price I paid for them. However, every PRS I have ever owned has played and sounded much better than it should have for the price I paid. Especially when compared to what you'd get from Epiphone for the same price, PRS is the way to go if you aren't looking to spend $2000.

    • @redbuzzardbass
      @redbuzzardbass 8 лет назад

      I'm guessing PRS has added a line I haven't seen that's below 2G. I shall have to check them out.

    • @whitey129
      @whitey129 8 лет назад

      Indeed. They do make super premium guitars, but they have a plethora of instruments at a very reasonable price now, all of which are amazing for the price point.

      I bought one of the really high end Epiphone Les Pauls, with Gibson 57's in it and everything. It was around $600-700 I think. But then I picked up a 2013 Gibson Les Paul 70s Tribute for $850 new and it was soooo much better in every way, I sold the Epiphone that day

    I got a chance to meet Mastodon almost 10 years ago and He was such a cool and legit guy, much respect for this guy and their music is killer and I love the fact that their music is different than a lot of bands and they have their own signature style of heavy metal/rock music, thank you for posting this video, truly a great guy with a great band!! Thank you Fender !!

    I bought this not realizing it was a signature model until I looked at the autograph more closely :D I bought it purely because the silverburst color scheme and the pearl inlays. I love it so much. :3 Beautiful instrument to play.

    • @ansiaaa
      @ansiaaa 10 лет назад +1

      ***** ah my friend, I won't even get down to your level with that kind of language or attitude.
      just please watch at 1:29, there's a 3 second part that shows his bass while he's playing live. now if you come back and comment that's the same bass he's showing while sitting on the couch, you are blind.
      you can even see the real one on the couch behind him.
      the squier version is nothing more than a cheap ass knock-off

    • @ansiaaa
      @ansiaaa 10 лет назад +2

      ***** the headstock in the original bass is faded gray, and it's full black in the squier one. the wood of the fingerboard is clearly a different kind of wood. there are the 3 standard knobs on the squier bass and just 2 on his original bass. there are 3 switches at the top of the body of his original bass, and no switches on the squier.
      you really don't need high def nor sharp eyes for those.
      if you just took the time to check at 1:29 as I said you could have seen those differences yourself before answering.

    'This neck is wooden'? And I thought it was made from linguini :)...
    Squiers are all right...I have owned a couple. The Fender finishes and hardware are a little nicer (or a lot nicer, depending on model), but The Fender Squier models are just fine. They sound good, and play nicely, once they are set up. Factory setup is pretty so-so; get your new Squier set up properly, and I bet you'll love it :)...

    How can any ENGlish person from ENGland speak ENGlish wrong? Speech impediments perhaps? Otherwise, NOPE. North Americans, Kiwis, Aussies and everyone else uses various derivative dialects of English. Whilst they are correct in their own context, they should never say an Englishman speaks fucked up English. I'm Canadian and I realize this. Look a zed in realise! I must be wrong. Anyhow this bass has a great finish. I love the coloUr. It's one of my favoUrites.

  • @Skiptracer1981
    @Skiptracer1981 11 лет назад

    good points. I'm canadian, but I'm not ignorant enough to say english people speak funny, because, well.. ENGlish comes from ENGland right? Some Americans seem to not understand this at all. If anyone is doing it wrong, it's us North Americans. We sort of have a dialect of a foreign language really, if you think about it.

    • @kabj06
      @kabj06 8 лет назад

      The electronics. Pickups look a bit lower end, but are probably still pretty decent considering Squier has made some nice shit in the past 5 years or so. Active electronics are also always on, rather on a switch and it's missing the tone wheels.

    The band whores themselves out to several music companys. Not a bad idea! Troy uses Ampeg, TC Electronic, Orange, then he plays Fender, Squier, Warwick, Yamaha, Wal, Zon, lol. The guy uses alot of different stuff! But it is cool to make a model for young kids who can't afford and instrument but can be inspired by the artist.
