I met Willie back in"75 in a little club in Tacoma called the Old City Jail. Besides my buddy, the rest of the audience was comprised of a table of 5 young ladies. Exactly 7people showed up to see the "Blues"! During intermission, Willie shook our hands, then promptly headed over to the girls table. Great show! Great back up band, with whom I believe was Jr. Wells on harp. It was SURREAL.
Three great stars, together. I've had the pleasure of seeing both Koko and Buddy live. Buddy is THE best blues guitarist ever, IMO. Koko can rock the house all night long, too.

Amazing gathering of blues legends! Probably could have only happened in Chicago. I have been fortunate enough to see all 3 of these legends on several occasions either on large concert stages or in small Chicago clubs, but never all 3 together. Does anyone know for sure when and where this happened? RIP Willie Dixon 1/29/1992-- Koko Taylor 6/3/2009. Just saw Buddy in July of 2016 and he's still doing it!

Thank you for posting this video. Three Blues legends on the stage is rare. Personally I do think that Koko is the Queen of the Blues. Her voice was so wonderfully unique. You know it’s her from the first note she sings. There is probably not a lot of video footage of Wille Dixon performances. Buddy Guy is still playing at 80 + years old. He is my personal favorite Blues Man.
