I just picked up the same one today. Seriously put down a G&L that was twice the price next to it for it. For such a budget price, they are beautiful and play just as nice if not better than any mid range squire or other telecaster twice the price if not higher than them.
Yes definitely the best budget telecaster I’ve played to date, I picked one up just after Christmas and added a set of brass saddles and tusk string tree. Absolutely amazing guitar for the price
I have the blue one. Which in Fender terms would be a beautiful Sonic Blue. I love it. I put it some Fender Tex Mex single coils that I had. And changed the usual things. But, for the price... it's an absolute steal.
It is comparable to a good affinity squier (or whatever the mid price one is now). It's not quite classic vibe level, but is infinitely better than the low end squier.
Can’t really argue . Hope they don’t do what a lot of budget companies do , get a bit of praise on the net and double the price sharpish. One slight gripe , think that color is described as blonde.. it’s clearly vibrant yellow , although dosent affect the product as such but can affect the perception of the company and whether they are taken seriously or not . All and all don’t think you can argue at the price it’s a huge amount of guitar for the money
you mention tone control. I don’t play electric so newbie question: is it just a filter? Chops out high pitch? When you play your teles do you have everything wide open and then adjust at amp level? Max vloume, no filter and then tweak in amp?
Yes, the tone control just rolls top end out. As for the controls, I ride the volume as needed for the song. As I play for a decent amount of gain, rolling the volume back can clean up the tone when I need to.
Yeah, nice review. Quite honestly I think you could make a piece of string tied to a broomstick sound good. Really, very nice chops there my man. I am really in a quandary. I was all set to buy a Harley Benton TE62 when a friend suggested I take a look at the Jet entry into the space. After watching a few reviews and listening to you play that thing I am back-and-forth, back-and-forth. AAAAARGH!!!! I keep searching for a head-to-head between the two but haven't yet found one. Hey, have you done a Harley Bento TE62 review? Can't find that either. I am leaning slightly to the Jet w, but I don't really like to yellow. It is supposed to be butterscotch, but looks very yellow. Don't like the Sunburst either. Harley Bento has better colors, although color does not equal sound, quality, etc...
Call me nuts but i love top loader bridges why ? Well it equals more sustain as theres straight string , less resistance and basically Gibson have used a similar set up on their Les Pauls and its worked for them 👍
@@yaguitar I think more bass in the tone when using a Top loading bridge ? I'm not a fan of Strats as they always seem to lack sustain in comparison unless you fit very expensive 🫰 pickups .
Oh tough one. I've played the te52 and I preferred the jet to be honest, just better finished. The te52 possibly sounded nicer, but as I say in the video the pickup heights will make a difference here. You won't be disappointed by either!
@@yaguitar thank you for the advice! I have a kluson Tele bridge and some fender pickups from an old partscaster that I can swap in. And given the Jet neck being well finished, thinking thats the one to go for
@@slowswimmer9169 you are right, but I think I still prefer the jet to be honest. I've played a lot of lower priced Harley Benton's and the jet guitars are always a little better
Never had a tele, always wanted one; finding this guitar might be a reason to finally get one ^^ Great video man! One question though: Is this one the 'blonde' version? Cause on photos in the internet and on their website, it looks a lot darker, less yellowish... Would probably not be a dealbreaker, but nice to know~
I can't choose between Harley Benton ST-62 and JET JT 300 (JT 350). I liked the sound of Harley Benton from the youtube video more. But in our country, the Harley Benton ST-62 is more expensive. For the difference in price, you can buy pickups) judging by the build quality, the convenience of the neck, the evenness of the frets - which guitar is better in your opinion?
powerful humbucker pickups? Please check your description... I have the same guitar, changed pickups to bootstrap palo duro. Now it sounds really great!
@@yaguitar Yes, it is available in two versions. There is the standard version with alnico Tele pickups and I have the one witch the humbucker in the neck. It has coil split. It looks and feels awesome. The specs are crazy. Still to this day I cannot believe what you can get for this relativ low amount of money...
@@yaguitar yeah, the heel is great. The roasted maple neck too. Bone Nut, locking tuner, alnico pickups, string through, wilkinson bridge and rosewood fretboard. This thing is jacked.
Great guitar but the Blonde version either seems to come in yellow or butterscotch rather than the colour shown. on their website I eventually went for a JT350 in black cos you cant really go wrong with black .Might change out the brown tortoise shell pick guard for a white one at some point .Mine arrives tomorrow ,if it sounds as good as your 300 I'll be more than happy .
👍💯 as my late dad bought a 2007 USA Strat brand new for £800 took it home plugged it into the JCM800 combo amp and it sounded worse than my cheap Tokai Strat copy , needless to say he was so angry he drove all the way back to Peter Cooks Guitar 🎸 World in London and traded it there and then for a 2nd hand Les Paul 😂 , anyway moral of the story is Brand name means nothing nowadays, It depends who built it and what pickups are used .
Here's a little advice. Don't just solo the whole time. That's not what people want to see. And this is just good advice. We want to see see very little talking and playing metal rock blues country cover every basis. Don't just sit there and solo. It is so boring and you're going to lose people. That's what we want to see. Use distortion cool effects. Let us see what it can do for everything. Do some punk rock, do some grunge do some soft ambience stuff. That's how you get big. And the big guy screw up when they talk to me much. Nobody wants to hear that s***. So if you want to grow your channel and interest more people that are guitar players, switch it up. Cover every basis. Don't talk much. Give a very very quick rundowns of the pros and cons and then get to playing. Talk for a fourth of the video. Play for a 3/4. I'm telling you you will get all of the other people who just put up with the boring guitar videos of people talking and soloing. I'm not being mean. You're your absolutely awesome player, but if you do this I promise you you're going to boost your subscribers.
I get what you mean. But in this video I go from blues, to rock and roll, to punk pop, to metal through the course of the video. Chords, riffs, solos etc on each pickup with 3 different gain setups etc. I tried to cover as much ground as possible. Thanks for watching though and noted.

Thanks for this video I was thinking of buying one and this really helped me!
the head stock is an improvement on the original. Great playing man, some fine fine chops there
Yeah, it's a great looking guitar. And thanks 😄😄
How is it compared to a fender squire tele? Can't decide which one i should get they both play and sound so good in person
It is comparable to a good affinity squier (or whatever the mid price one is now). It's not quite classic vibe level, but is infinitely better than the low end squier.
Excellent video friend.
A question about how you balance the bass of the neck pickup with the treble of the bridge, I have a copy of that model
if I had kept it, I would have adjusted the heights of the pickups - the bridge was quite loud compared to the neck

It has a satin neck, right? Can't really find any exact info on that, but that's what it looks like!
Yes, no sticky gloas

Certainly does, think I use distortion in the video. It is not as good as my fender Tele with iron gear pickups with distortion, it isn't bad at all.
@@yaguitar So with overdrive and distortion it sounds good? I don't know if you can compare it to a humbucker but they are fine. No?
