You're most welcome - though I must credit Louise for lending me the tape. I uploaded these for the retro factor, but I'm delighted to hear that Rod, Emu and Grotbags are finding a new young audience all these years later!
You're more than welcome - glad you're enjoying my vids. :-) But I can't take credit for the quality of the tapes; three cheers to Louise (who lent them to me) for that!
There were at least two different Croc suits and three different Croc actors down the years... so I suppose you could describe that as a "makeover"! ;-)
I *think* I do - the tape has six episodes, which could be the full series. I think I also have the full series 3, and I'll upload as many as I can as soon as I can. :-)
Good question - it's a sort of a plot hole that I'm not sure was ever truly explained. At times Grotbags makes reference to capturing Emu so that she could "control all the brats in the world" or even "rule the world" itself. How doing one would result in the other is beyond me! Apparently Emu had special powers or something...
That would be great.. I only recorded the dance routines at the time. They are all now posted but were recorded onto Philips V2000 tape and then onto VHS hence the loss of some quality.

Because the Parkinson show was Rod's act for adult audiences - an act which, by his own admission, couldn't really go anywhere beyond five or ten minutes of aggressive mayhem. He essentially reinvented Emu as a fully-formed children's character for these shows, though you will find clips where he goes after audience members, celebrity guests or (of course) Grotbags. He just wasn't as aggressive as he was for adult appearances.
Absolutely! There was another clip (since taken down from RUclips unfortunately) that ended with Larry Grayson getting goosed - possibly the peak of light entertainment. :-)
The only that I'd want see green and destroying stuff is the incredible Hulk. Did you know that one of the kids was in superman with Gene Hackman and Christopher Reeve
@@VideotapeFTW It's funny to think that Joe Greco would go on to other projects with CITV & CBBC after his time with Rod Hull and Emu such as: Motormouth (as Bellboy Jimmy in the Spin Off Sketches), One of the original presenters on Playbus/Playdays, The original Tatty Bogle in Wizadora for Series 1 & 2, Spatz and many more.
Quite pleased that debs (the blonde one from S4/5) spoke in her first episode on the show ;-)
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
My eight year old loves watching these, thanks for putting them on here.Must admit that i enjoy watching them again as well.

Brilliant... Good to see the whole episode from the single dance clip I uploaded so long ago.. Thank you for it..
If you pause quickly at 12:42 you'll see the mannequin of rod
I can even see it without being paused 😭
Rest assured, you're not the only one! Surprising how well these shows still hold up, isn't it? :-)

She is happy because everybody celebrate her birthday 🎂

Yeah - never really *truly* explained fully, that one. But at least it was a good excuse to laugh at her incompetence!

Suitable for children, fun for adults too.
I watched this as a toddler, and I’m here as a 43 year old reliving my childhood
She getting Emu
yes its still a pretty good show ,,i loved the sence of adventure of it and that grotbags was going ot turn up !!!
Has anyone seen Rod Hull & Emu on the Late Late Show here on RUclips? To me, it's even funnier than the Parky incident.
Absolutely! There was another clip (since taken down from RUclips unfortunately) that ended with Larry Grayson getting goosed - possibly the peak of light entertainment. :-)
Didn't croc have a makeover? I seem to remember he was much scruffier originally!
Wow, very rare to see both of Rod's hands! BTW. why did Snotrag, sorry, I mean Grotbags want an emu anyway?
I wonder where the pet fish now........

Yes - in fact, I think more than one of them was in Superman, but I've never been able to pick any of them out.
@@VideotapeFTW I know Anthony was!
Tiffany was also in Superman IV
@@pwkmania wow,

Is this Joes first appearance?
He was in series two, but unfortunately had to skip series three before returning for series four.
