Can anyone help identify the second song in this episode (starting at 15:09)? I haven't been able to trace it at all, but surely *someone* out there must recognise it! On a tangent, Catrina herself posted this yesterday: ruclips.net/video/DEwHhPtRJqQ/видео.html
VideotapeFTW - I love the use of green screen in this episode. Simple, but effective. I wonder if any of the Corona kids remember the all the names and composers of the individual songs; but there must have been so much to learn and remember. A couple of them follow me on Twitter, it would be great to see what they remember.
If you're taking this show seriously, you're doing it wrong! It's daft, funny, energetic, camp, surreal, bizarre, of its time, and generally silly, but never serious. ;-) That said, if you really do want to get into the Pink Windmill series, I'd probably recommend this as a decent place to start: ruclips.net/video/Dh9tvmnD5Cs/видео.html
He's really struggling to get that helmet on 11:20 And is Kelly in this series? I keeping seeing someone that looks like her but didn't think she joined as a regular until the 1984 Christmas special
Yes, that's Kelly - she was in the 1983 Christmas special and this series, missed the 1984 Easter special and live series, and from the 1984 Christmas special onwards was a regular until the end. P.S. I hadn't spotted that helmet thing - nice one!
Yeah, good spot. It sounds like it was supposed to all be one take, but then something went wrong so they picked up from there - but not exactly seamlessly.
It's "Even when your beak is curled". (Emu curls his beak when he's angry.) If you turn on the subtitles on this video, you'll get all the lyrics: ruclips.net/video/ZNZIIufo--k/видео.html
@@VideotapeFTW Thank you! The Post office song lyrics are pretty cryptic too... I sometimes hear "Santa claus is such a dick" in it, but I don't think that's quite right...

Good idea - it could be worth you asking them on Twitter, if you like. Someone has to remember the song!
VideotapeFTW unfortunately no other information other than it was apparently called "Putting Your Best Foot Forward"
Blue screen I'd assume, rather than green. Otherwise Grotbags would disappear ;)
Matgo Styles Lol I suppose chromakey would be better. We can't have Grotbag's hair disappearing :-)
You can tell Carol Lee Scott is having the time of her life playing Grotbags!
You gotta love Grotbags 😁😁😁
Fun fact: The day this episode was originally broadcasted, Footloose (1984) movie was released in the UK (IF I am correct)
Not sure why this was recommended but love it.
Hehe - glad to hear it! Feel free to browse my channel for many, many more. It's a real rabbit hole once you get started! ;-)
18:50 me when lockdown is finally over and I have to say goodbye to the Pink Windmill Kids and confront the real world
LMAO
I have seen so many Memes of this show, most of which are Catrina memes. Now it is time to watch this for real. But I can't watch this seriously.

I adore Natalie Penningtons outfit even Catrina 😊💖
Natalie Pennington is my favorite!
the one in the pink/red tracksuit did for me when i was young not sure of her name though lol love this series miss you rod hull
I think that's Kate you're talking about - one of the early regulars.
15:15 How can Emma and Debbie see in that cow costume 😳
I don't know, but I bet only one of them could see...
@@VideotapeFTW probally Emma was in the front and directing Debbie where to go lol
Dean cosplay as Aladdin from the Anime Magi 1984. 28 years before the anime series premiers.
Sarah Jeffs is one of my favorite Pink Windmill Kids!
Mine too! She’s my very favorite, in fact. Excellent dancer, great voice, awesome acting and expressions - what’s not to love?
@@willows-and-reeds about New York City? The taxis honk out a New York ditty! The crime is high! The pigeons fly! What's not to love about New York?
This is still my favorite emu’s world episode ;-)
It was (sort of) the end of the old way of doing things (before the live era), and it's a great episode to (sort of) finish on!
@@VideotapeFTW yes indeed. It feels like the end of an era but also not. You’ve worded it perfectly

5:07 I see a hand
Also no Catrina? I thought she left after the 1984 series
Good spot with the hand! Catrina _is_ in this one, but mostly in the background, e.g. dancing with Hugh at 2:24.
Ah I wasn't sure if it was her. Thanks :)
Any idea what the hand is doing? Pulling that wire out the shot maybe?
Just settling Emu's 'feathers', I think. I don't think we'd have seen it if they'd been on the wider shot.
Catrina is wearing an unflattering purple tracksuit!
What are the lyrics to the closing song? "We can say that we love you Emu, even when your beak is gone"???
