    Rebecca Luker has an otherworldly beauty, truly. It's not just her spectacular voice, it's everything about her. She radiates beauty and loveliness. What a joy to watch her. I'm grateful I can still find videos of her. I love this Jerome Kern song, so that was truly the frosting on the cake. She is truly an angel who was loaned to us for too short of a time.

    My mother would sing this in the 60s when I was in the elementary grades. She passed away at 90 in 2007 and I am 67 now. Lovingly remembering her and my cousins who would sing this. Thank you for this beautiful piece of concert.

    I loved rebecca Luke in everything .role she played .she was just magical. This performance of all the things you are was a recreation of the original performance of All The Things You Are ,as noted by Kitty Carlise Hart In Her Narration Of Broadway Originals ,the tittle of this Boston Pops clip. The previous comment made that the performance of All the things You Are was heavenly I concur HEAVENLY❤❤❤

    Admiro la obra de Jerome Kern y " All the tings you are" , puede ser una de las 5 melodías populares que mas me gustan. Me pone la piel chinita. Escucho música. desde los 60s. tengo muchas interpretaciones de grandes cantantes, orquestas e intérpretes. Tengo el gusto debido a que mi padre ( clarinetista ) formó parte de la 1a. banda de Mexicanos(55) en Chicago en los 20s, cuando la prohibición y por las noches con otros compañeros de la banda, los contrataban a tocar en lugares clandestinos, buena paga y los transportaban vendados de los ojos. Admirable interpretación, cantantes, coros, orquesta y dirección. Felicidades y gracias por este gran regalo.

    A glorious performance of a wonderful song. But a slight correction to your caption; this is the Boston Pops Orchestra and Chorus, not the London Sinfonietta and Ambrosian Singers. The latter performed on the studio recording of Kern works conducted by McGlinn with (almost) the same soloists, this video is of the Boston Pops's 'Broadway Originals' concert (first broadcast by PBS in 1990).

    • @edgarwarren001
      @edgarwarren001 2 года назад +3

      This is a Boston Pops orchestra and choir. The conductor is John McGlinn. This arrangement is on one of his CDs "Broadway Showstoppers" released in 1992. I assume the concert is from that time period. Mr. McGlinn devoted his career to creating albums of show music with the original orchestrations including 3 CD set of "Show Boat". He died at age 55 much too young. Somewhere out on youtube is the full concert.

    It is written:
    Therefore, beloved, being warned of this, beware lest ye fall into the error of the wicked, and fall from your affirmation. 2Peter’s 3-17
    Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7-15
    "And I saw another angel fly in heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people. And he said with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour is come when he will judge; and worship the One who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water. And another angel, a second, followed him, saying, The great Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that made all nations drink of the wine of her fornication. And another, a third angel, followed them, saying in a loud voice, If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he will drink of the wine of God's wrath, which is prepared pure in the cup of his wrath; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment shall be for ever and ever; and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, or anyone who accepts the mark of his name. This requires the patience of the saints, those who keep God's commandments, and faith in Jesus ”(Rev. 14: 6-12). And yet, it is written: Fear God and repay Him Glory, for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship the One who made it heaven, earth, sea, and springs of water. ”- Revelation 14: 6, 7. It is written: John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And he who rejects the gift of salvation is written: Revelation 14:10 He also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared pure in the cup of His wrath, and will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And it is also written: For there is nothing secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
    Luke 8:17. This world is going away and if you want to be saved, give glory to your Creator, repent! And this is the golden verse of the Bible:
    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    John 3:16. Ecclesiastes 12 - 13.14
    Let us hear the end of the whole word: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is all for man;
    14 For every hidden thing, God will bring to justice every deed, whether good or evil. Luke 6:31- And as you desire men to do unto you, so do ye to them. God bless you!

      Son enfoques de interpretación diferentes que no tienen porqué rivalizar.
      Se nos ofrece un homenaje "en concierto", recreando la manera en que la canción se hubiera escuchado hace setenta y tres años, según la concibieron Jerome Kern y Oscar Hammerstein para 'Very Warm for May' en 1939.
      Posteriormente, muchos, como Ms. Forrest, grabaron la pieza en estudio con respeto, pero para fines comerciales fuera de su contexto teatral que es lo que John McGlinn y Rebecca Luker nos presentaron aquí.
