Been tellling people to do this for days and no one seems to be doing it for some reason. Oh well they can continue gathering abyssal beast souls and getting less xp in posd. Some tips for set up. Bring a cannon and put it in that north spot. It actually doesnt take many cballs at all as the phantoms will be blocked from its view once youre in position. It grabs aggro and that’s it. I would also use the spot right in line with the arch/pillar as you will be much more likely to be hitting 5-6 of them all at once with 4 being the minimum. The spot you use in the video seems to often have you only hitting 3. Just pop devotion once you get in the spot and focus down any phantoms to the south of you. As soon as it’s clear use the call familiar command to make the platypus spawn/walk to the south position. Now you are in place and can switch to soul split for 25 minutes. Id bring 5 or so food for the setup but you often wont even need any. When you need to repair cannon you can switch to melee pray, pop devotion, dive to it and then run back to position. All the phantoms should be following you so when you run back in, they should all be on the north side, meaning your platypus can easily be called again to block south. Alternatively, bring some sticky bombs and stun them all before you quickly repair the cannon. Last tip, turn off auto retaliate during set up as you do not want to be hitting any of the phantoms as a primary target other than the south 1 or 2 you will be clearing for your platypus. If they start speccing that is when you are in real danger and they will not spec if they havent been the primary target of an attack.
@@SVWQS I did it as an afk method in between rituals on my way to 200m and not my main method so I can't give an accurate assessment on cballs per hour and stuff as I was rarely there for more than 30 mins. XP counter had me at 1.6m per hour minimum and that can be pushed probably to almost 1.8m if you are a little active, like activating undead sigil, threads of fate and making sure you have enough adren for all 3 scythe hits before using it. It is 1.6m completely AFK though. I would estimate maybe 1000 cballs an hour. It literally only shoots when some of the further phantoms respawn and aggros them for you. At around ~600 kills an hour I'd estimate 2 cannonballs used per phantom if even at most.
Damn shoutout to the penguin hunter who must’ve tried this out. I used to use platypus or tooth pet to herd the hide n seek penguins, since they can’t be walked through by NPCs unless another player walks on top of your platypus/tooth and breaks it. Every penguin herder uses them.
Don't think they'll ever change it, it's an "known" ingame mechanic that people never knew about but see it all the time, only if you thought about it you would know why it's a thing.
wow, reminds me of the time when summoning was released. unsure if it was all dogs, but i think people could use something like a sheepdog to range metal dragons and only get hit by dragonfire attacks.

with the recent update to the spectral scythe ability, will we be seeing a revised Revo bar? the zuk-cape revo bar no longer builds enough adrenaline to make use of death skulls.
The south west spot with a cannon can get you 1.5m - 1.6m xp per hour, i found out that killing the south phantom and then spam clicking "call follower" does the trick when you go back
@@FARCAYASWild has bonus damage from puzzlebox and Stone of Jas, but POSD has 0 competition and 3 second respawn (and in my experience I've never been able to get 6 beasts to attack in wild or Asylum, so POSD wins). If you can get 6 or more anywhere, it's probably worth it.

@@RyuukiAruno t80 armor with cinderbanes instead of the necro gloves, t80 weapons, vamp aura, blood fury necklace for the extremely cheap healing without the need for SS, ring of death, book of jas, blood reaver. You can do it with t70 armor too. Just make sure you have your ghost conjuring on your rev bar. Consistent 20-40 second afk kills depending on what mob tags you first. Just tonight, I got two subj garbs, subj gloves, and a hood while watching YT. Basically every piece is consistently selling for 15-20m. Very easy way to level necro while making a ton of money.
It would be one thing if you thought up methods like this but you basically just take other peoples thought out methods and ruin them for your own profit. I think im unsubbing to you you dont have an original thought in your head.

400 k/ph ---avg. gettin hit 12k++/pm ( with stun ability) If using deathtouch bracelet gives avg.48k++ dmg/ph (- onyx.) If using set gloves gives %2 death mark which means avg 64k++ dmg/ph (+ armor.) It's like %0.1 damage boost/ph but dont forget u should kill them fastly exacute may save u cus of activating lower health.

I think Fury of The Small doesn’t work with Necro. Necro abilities give you 9 adren. Even with Fury of the Small activated, I still only get 9 adren. If anyone tests this, can you let me know?

Necro about to get nerfed. It's cheap,overpowered,has all the expensive abilities basicly for free like griochet and split soul... No point in using other styles.

Also, according to the wiki, Split Soul costs 50K worth of runes to cast. Considering you'll probably be casting it dozens of times over the course of an hour of bossing, that doesn't sound very cheap to me.
I hate this new combat update they did. Every single guide everywhere on leveling combat is like "Oh yeah this is great but you need 99+ slayer to event do it" I just want to afk in the abyss again lol
Why bother with this when rituals are 2m+ exp at lvl 90? I guess if you really can't be bothered and HAVE to afk, but those are pretty high reqs for half the exp an hr

He reports xp rates of 1.1m per hour, how much more do you think this method you described gives? Also how many cballs/hr do you think it is?

Was my thought too haha. I miss those good ol days trapping the pengs on reset with my platy and learning some game mechanics along the road.

It works with any pet you can drop. Platypus is just the easiest to get and feed.

For a lot less effort you can kill abbysal beasts in PSD for 1.2-1.4m an hour AFK.

Thank you for sharing! It's not as much xp as other methods, but it's afk, you can find worlds and it's hopefully a good way to get my phantom soul.
