Orchestral Metroid - Norfair

For the third installation in the Orchestral Metroid series Samus travels to the Norfair region. Our protagonist confronts many fiery dangers but avails herself of many strong weapons that will help her on her quest.
The music starts with the sounds of the elevator portal Samus enters on her way to Norfair. The arrangement of the music to Norfair proper is dominated by the harpsichord and woodwinds. During the fourth run-through of the Norfair theme suddenly the item room music reappears. Before long the latter transforms into the item acquired jingle.
The original NES Metroid music was composed by Hirokazu Tanaka. I orchestrated the 8-bit score with the use of virtual libraries.
