That's nice, squirrels have a relaxing effect on me for some reason, even with their hyperactive behavior. They are one of the few animals that I could watch for quite some hours so trying my hand at this type of drawing to hang on my wall won't hurt, thanks for the great example by the way :P
Hi Chris could I ask you please would you say as an artist do people buy pencil drawings rather than pictures with colour. I’m working hard for next years arts festival in staithes and the lady who runs it all says that customers who come into her gallery don’t buy pencil drawings they prefer colour. I am looking to do wildlife drawings but my sketches of a horses head has had rave reviews as it’s on the staithes Facebook page and it’s what I feel comfortable doing, and the thought of painting a picture terrifies me. I’m not a qualified artist but after people reviewing my stuff on Facebook I’ve decided to bite the bullet and enter the festival 2020. I haven’t much confidence in my art work. Just discovered your channel Chris and I'm loving all the great work. Just who is that mysterious red-caped character?! : ) My pencil and paper drawing skills are still very basic, but I'm trying to work on them daily as well as getting into digital art as I have a couple of decades of Photoshop under my belt. This squirrel drawing inspired me to try a Photoshop version which turned out ar from perfect, but better than I expected going in. I'm inspired to create more and more. I absolutely loved this! I'm brand new to drawing (just finished a 30 day drawing challenge after only being able to draw stick figures), but I was able to follow along and draw a pretty decent looking squirrel (except I didn't have the patience to make tiny strokes for the fur, so it kind of looks like a rat's fur). But at least now I understand how much of drawing comes down to texture and shading.

Nice! You're so good at drawing! I saw your other vids, showed my mum (she likes drawing) and she got me two 5+1 sets of Coptic (skin colour and grey) I've drawn a Minotaur, owl and a tiger (although the tiger wasn't with all copic, just some pale grape and strawberry white)
thanks ever so much for this drawing...I've been trying so hard to get him sketched just right for my "EARTH ANGEL" pal who rescues so many squirrels, especially the babies who've fallen out of their nest before their eyed are even open. She is an incredible mommy squirrel w her baby doll bottles...this will be a perfect gift to give her when I am done...(Jodi Vanhooser on FB...You will see all her babies...Whadda Earth Angel she is...)

What are your drawing materials
Any tips for someone who wants to get into drawing but, has no art talent? Or is it just a natural thing?
Just practice as often as possible. It all helps to develop your ability over time. Even just doodling on a scrap piece of paper. It all counts. :)
Is it just the contrast in the camera that makes the dark look so dark. Got a bunch of 8b's and a 9xxb and they don't get seem to get half that black?

you use 0.7 mm if I remember right, so HOW ARE YOU MAKING SUCH THIN LINES, also another amazing work 👌👌👌👌
