I'm a Sitka guy and 2 of my sheep/goat hu ting buddies are kuiu guys we get along fine my local store stocks Sitka and hell canyon I like Sita they also have stone glacier
Good for you and thanks for bringing us along. That mountain range is one of the hidden gems in the lower 48 and BIG much bigger than this video will ever come close to depicting.
The Uintas have and always will hold a special place in my heart. Coupling extensive family history with tons of memories made up there and tons more to be made, there's not many places like it. Truly special place. Great shot and awesome video. I think I'll go to the Uintas right now 😎👍
Great Hunt! Congratulations! I just started the Colorado process for points 3 years ago and so next year I will finally be eligible for the draw, I have 3 points in Wyoming, and on year 19 for New Mexico bighorn. So I know the wait and anticipation Trial had. Glad he got it done!
Congratulations Trial and Bransen on one sweet hunt. I always like the GoHunt films. What an absolute adventure. I have the upmost respect for those that have the patience to wait that long and are able to go after an animal in such remote country. Coming from West Virginia there isn't much public land back here in the East. I also have respect for people who go after animals with archery equipment, especially the hunters that go after sheep and goat with a bow, even high country mule deer. I would definitely only rifle hunt those Rocky Mountain sheep or goat species and I found out at the end why Bransen had a rifle. (What were the odds that he had a tag too, he was just packing it just in case). I would bow hunt/spot and stalk pronghorn which has its own challenges, but I don't have to worry about being cliffed out trying to get around one. I did just buy bonus points in Nevada for both California Bighorn Sheep and Desert Bighorn Sheep (So 20 years from now when I am 57 I might draw a tag haha) along with elk, mule deer and pronghorn (horn longer than ears). My goal is to hunt pronghorn in every state that I can without having to hire an outfitter if I can, mule deer as well. Not worried about trophy size (an average representative of the species) just looking for adventure, stories to tell, and sweet meat. Don't worry about the fact that you got a nanny instead of a billy, aside from being close and seeing genitals from behind I don't think I could really tell myself let alone at 300+ yards. Thanks for sharing, Trial got his long awaited mountain goat and an Alaskan moose this past fall, what a banner season. Congrats once again.
What an awesome video! I was in awe of the terrain and landscape captured through this video and I know from my trips out west that the video probably didn't do it much justice. I still found myself just saying "WOW"! Great job!!
I can absolutely tell the difference in a nanny and billy! I applied for a nanny tag, thinking most people wouldn't know the difference...then I drew it...and I had to figure out which animal I could legally harvest, it made for tough hunting for sure! I could have taken a great billy on day 1, and many other goats for the next week, but it took me 7 days to figure out in the field and a few days watching ID videos in-between my hunt days to be certain. There's a lot of pressure when you draw a likely once in a lifetime tag not to screw it up! And I also said I didn't know if I'd do another goat hunt right after the harvest, but a day later, I knew I'd apply again! Hopefully I'll draw again in my lifetime, it only took me 13 points last time! Keep those videos coming guys!
awesome video that mountain is our favorite mtn we always watch them from down below never thought that country up above was that vast and rugged thats for sharin still hopein that i will draw that tag before i get to old to get up there after them and congrats great goat
This was awesome! Great work Trail. Such epic terrain. That is awesome that you and your hunting buddy got to experience that. I identify with the sentiments at 14:00, like any big mountain climb, when you are descending, ask anyone and they say "That was cool, but I dont want to do it again", and then six months later.... "Hey so what do you think about...."
Thanks for the hunt! It gets a little tricky when you are maneuvering in boulders that are bigger than houses and looking into crevasses that they would never find you if you slipped in to one. I harvest my billy just West of Marsh peak. Will never forget the experience. I have been in on several goat hunts now as I help my friends harvest their trophies and each time it brings me back to how majestic and rough the country is that these animals live in. Great hunt and thanks for sharing!
@@kyleblackburn1918 we did that hike in for an elk hunt. Not a thing around and right back out the next day. Me and my hunting partner both craved McDonald’s chicken nuggets for some reason and they were amazing. We still laugh about that one. I would love to go back and just hike it for enjoyment though.
@@lrpetric oh I have a funny story similar to yours. Hiked in scouting elk too and found nothing. Melted the soles on our hiking shoes trying to dry them by the fire and had to hike out like that. We couldn't wait for a burger and fries!!!
Most legitimate business there is !! GoHunt is legit... They provide so many awesome services for not a lot of money. Good luck starting to hunt west without their services. Cut my learning curve way down.
It CAN happen twice. I drew a Montana tag 5 years ago, and drew Wyoming Unit 2 this year. Hope you joined up with Rocky Mountain Goat Alliance to support the population and future opportunities for yourselves and others. My first hunt was with a very experienced guide and his son. They both thought were were on a billy, after the kill and getting up to the animal, it turned out to be an old nanny, just like yours. At least you saved the guide fee ;).Still makes a beautiful mount, a unique memory, and personally I found the meat tasty as well.
PS, great video, although I think you made light of the 13 mile pack in. You definitely captured a bit of the excitement of climbing those bolder slopes. It is amazing how smooth and nice those mountains can look from a distance, then up close they turn into hell. And you sit there on the top, thinking, "Why hasn't all this loose crap rolled or slide down years ago?" Congrats on a beautiful goat!
Too cool, man. Congratulations. When it comes to Goats, I think nannies are just as cool as billy's. The average person can't tell the difference and they both make great trophies
One problem with once in a lifetime tags is you just don't get the experience which is needed to hunt the goats properly. There are many telltale signs of a Billy but the only truly consistent way to identify one is by the width of the base of the horns and the space between them. It takes a lot of looking and hunts to be able to do this with accuracy. Great hunt and great Nanny. Nannies are also entered into Boone and Crockett.
This week on BROhunt Goat hunt but need MASSIVE mtn cause clickbait 13k feet bro Gonna shoot a big billy bro Carry my bow bro, cause trust me bro, it is gonna be sweet bro, I'll close the distance bro Goats far away tho... Unbelievable area.
Props to that great anchoring shot. Amazing.
I don’t hunt. I think I found this channel from hot tent videos. The terrain and scenery is beautiful. Just being there is worth the effort

Love from California!
I was lucky enough to draw a Washington State goat tag this year. Now I'm hooked on watching goat hunts
Congrats and appreciate you watching!
Good job. Hopefully I will draw soon as well. We'll find out in a couple of weeks if this is the year.
Best of luck in the draw!
So cool!! Crazy elevation!!
Wow! So awesome! Congrats!
Thanks for watching Marc!
Nice hunt. You guys make me understand that I need to get off the couch.
Ha! It definitely is a struggle right now.
Nice shot
Awesome hunt. Looked like you guys headed up the swift creek trail to Timothy lake.
Had to be right? That was deer lake they passed first. I've done that hike and it's a rough one. Beautiful country though!

Nice job! Great hunt!
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations! Goat hunting is tough, especially in the thin air of 13k. Clean kill too; couldn't have been better.
Everything is tougher at 13,000!
Outstanding! Congratulations
Thank you! Cheers!
The thin air, open skies crowned by rocky views all around, one moment one connection to deeper life, closer to heaven
It really is incredible!
Really cool you guys congrats
Awesome video on a hunt of a lifetime! Who else is this a dream for!?
Tough to beat!
goHUNT or almost impossible. Maybe for me a Yukon Bull would but that’s it.
Just watched this video gang. Great short film. Great hunt. Looks like it was a lot of work and fun that paid off well. Great job boys.
Much appreciated!
My local store sells Sitka and mystery ranch both fit like a glove so it's the rout I went just picked up a Calvin lite down jacket
Great footage boys
Thanks 👊
Trail for the win!!!
Yee yee!
Wow, that place is bigger than my imagination. Great job, guys, cool hunt to watch unfold.
Massive country!
Awesome hunt
Great video .
The level of your determination is unreal. I have a lot of respect for you.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching Greg!
What bipod was trail using there??
Hunting Utah is great
Did you see any ptarmigan on this hunt? Been thinking about giving them a try.
awesome stuff!
Congrats memory of a lifetime
I would like to know more about some of their equipment: rifle sling, pack, bipod, and binocular harness.
What happened to the carcass? It did not show that they took it.!

Im happy with the goat you shot 😂This was a awesome video! Hope to do a hunt like this one day.
It was a really awesome hunt, thanks for watching the film James!!
Most Definitely!
Having grow up in Utah and going to the Uinta Mtns. many times I know they either make or brake you!
That is for sure!
Very clean. Very clean shot. Never had one, they're supposed to taste great though. Hope you made a nice throw rug
What bipod was that guy using?
That was a Hatch Outwest Bipod.
What do these goats feed on?
The music cut at 6:00 😅👍
what bipod are you using?
Great hunt! What bipod where you using?
Hey Cole, that is a Hatch Outwest Bipod.

@@GOHUNT It's one of my dream hunts too. I have 6 years into Colorado. Fingers crossed it won't take 11 more years lol
Nice Hunt. Are those scope sleeves right or left foot?🤣🤣🤣
I think that one is a right foot :)
Congrats. What caliber of X Bolt were you shooting? Been looking at them a long time. Do you like it?
Trail was shooting a 28 Nosler. The Browning X-bolts are great guns, very accurate! Tough to beat for a factory rifle.

GREAT GOAT ID BRO
Was that a hatch bipod?
Yes it was
What kind of bipod is that on your rifle?
It’s a hatch outwest bipod.
Ok, I'm not reading the comments. I'm voting for the Kuiu guy. Simply because it is a better pattern. lol But seriously.
you guys are tough i will give you that
I hunt but I would not shoot one of those they are to amazing
Nanny Killer!!! You gotta cut the distance and be sure! Always!!!
In serbia we call this destiny he stooped walking before the shot
This week on BROhunt
Goat hunt but need MASSIVE mtn cause clickbait
13k feet bro
Gonna shoot a big billy bro
Carry my bow bro, cause trust me bro, it is gonna be sweet bro, I'll close the distance bro

Can't wait for my next hunt bro
Cmon man Bruce was a Great White in Nemo
haha...I know! My kids were so disappointed in me when they watched this last night and saw that part!
Hey great video and hunt. I don’t think I would have made done anything different, great goat.
Roar
So does goat meat really taste bad like everyone says?
Mountain goat meat taste just fine!
I know this area and unit not real hard to find though not to many places over 13 thousand feet in Utah
I've never even hiked above 13000' much less hunted ......how did she taste??
and you didn't pack mystery ranch backpack lol
Bransen was actually wearing a mystery ranch back on that hunt.
Is it weird that I hunt 13k feet in california for our deer?
Heck no! Early season highcountry is the best!
Not if you are seeing bucks.
Wow that stuff has to be HARD to breathe in! Can’t be much oxygen up there
The air is thin for sure!
like hunting on mars
Haha looks just like mars!
SEVENTEEN years to draw a tag and you’d even consider throwing a stick at it? What the heck? Great hunt though. For sure.
Worth the wait!
U lost my respect when you talked about the animal like that!
Oh wow..never seen anything so large.....quick kill it -humans
