6/27/24: Sean Manaea and Francisco Alvarez talk about their performances in a 12-2 victory over the crosstown rival Yankees, to sweep the first Subway Series in 2024.
Seeing Alvarez play is a breath of fresh air. Seeing him in interviews without a translator is phenomenal. Whether its the game, or everything in general, he clearly puts so much effort into everything he does
Can't say it any better than you did. The two of them have been so promising. Alvarez calling behind the plate and hitting well, that man is a future captain
@@mr.nobody9697 His overall production is fairly average. He’s still young of course but let’s not pretend he’s out here dominating. His OBP and BA have improved but only 5 HR this year. His OPS+ is good this year but is slugging should be much higher.
Don't you guys think that Frankie A is a new Righty reincarnated Yogi Berra !! A little bigger, stronger and if he can learn to not to chase too often, cut down on Ks... FWIW, in one season - I don't remember which one - with over 500 plate appearances, Yogi Berra struck out a grand Total of 15 TIMES !! Must have been something in that YoHoo . LOL. Although he does not talk about it here, He must be hurting in that Thumb bc he turns his Glove the Wrong Way when collecting balls outside to his Left! He is a Burst of Energy to our Club.
Alvarez is really impressing for being so young. I was not a fan of brining him up too fast. Kind of like Baty and Vientos. I’m not a fan of Vientos’ attitude. He seems to sulk too much and in turn seems too cocky when he’s doing well. I can’t put my finger on it but I really don’t like him. He’s doing really well and much better than Baty which is nice to see 3B doing well. I’m sure he’ll grow on me. Now what do they do with Baty? Hoping Mauricio ends up being our future 2B for a long time. We have options….#LFGM
@@edgoodwin4389 yes for sure that’s an option especially with the way Bader and Taylor have been have been playing. Taylor just needed regular reps and will get that with Marte out (again) for a while,

Alvarez is an absolute stud. Hes still young with so much room to grow. Vientos is starting to become a legit MLB 3B with power.

@@CorynthianLeather Hes a prospect that has live up to all the hype we heard. Watching him feels different. Special.

Shout out to Alvy learning English and doing the interview on his own. 22 year old future leader
Current leader.
makes him that much more marketable. opens up the door for commercials. his energy is always great
Future Mets captain I believe!
Really loving Alvarez. The mets have needed a catcher like this for so long. Things are looking up finally
It’s looking like we got our new piazza.
@@edgoodwin4389 way too early for that IMO. But has the potential for sure
Yankees flying high; Mets flying low.

It’s a long, long season.
Let’s watch the next 10 games…

I agree about Mauricio. These young players have a brighter future and we can trade McNeil for another reliever plus cash.
