This gameplay was trimmed to just the sections relevant to the narrative, however there is a significant amount of dancing in between the scenes if you play it through. Typically, you'll have to score at least three stars for each of the six songs from each crew to progress, in any difficulty.

Still can’t believe Just dance Is getting a movie, Dance Central Is the ONE that deserves a movie, cause it actually has a story to follow.

"Dance Crimes" barely a minute in and I can't even handle this story. Words can't express how glad I am that they actually tried to give this game a story. This is fantastic XD

Music and dance can bring people of all ethnicities together. It appears someone found a way to exploit that and use it for his own interests.
I love how dance central has a story as well as characters and different game modes unlike just dance which people think is "better" but people have opinions

I personally love this story for the symbolism. I know it seems cheesy, like the “dance crimes” thing. But, it represents Tan’s desire to strip the dancing world of freestyle. Freestyle is how even the most talented dancers express themselves. Also, time travel is a nice aspect to a story about dance if you are to learn moves from different eras.
i think it's so cool how when it 'scans' you at the beginning, the kinect moves up and down like it's actually scanning you :D

I about spit on my screen and died when I found out that Dr. Tan is Oblio's father. I feel SO sorry for him. Having him as his father and then having to send him back into a time paradox .n.
I love the sad piano music that plays during the "FATHER!"-"I-did-it-for-you-son" moment, hahaha. DADDY ISSUES, hahaa.
Lmaooo this story was so goofy..loved that they added a story to this game.

I don't see why everyone hating on the crew member that didn't know about Oblio being missing and all but come on he is a free spirited dancer he might not have time for all those mission and things he seem more forcuse on helping them save time and get the check out kind

ok. they had a time machine boombox and like, how did they get attacked, got their helmets on(the DCI crew when riptide returned), also who pushed riptide in the time machine, if it wasnt rasa and lima, cuz they didnt move until tans transmission ended. if there was somebody else in the headquaters, why didnt they stop you from putting helmets of rasa and lima? and why couldnt you just walk to them and pull the helmets of like a hat? oh, no, they were dancing, i couldnt get near them (dumb face)
Remember the lights go off when they are taken in those seconds I would imagine a member of Tan’s army pushing us to the ground in an attempt to knock us out only for us to turn around the moment Bodie and Emilia were forced through the time machine and notice a mind controlled Lima and Rasa now standing in front of you. Also how do we know if grabbing the helmets off with our hands won’t harm them?

i actually like the most graphic from DC1. Emilia and Dare were also sooo cool there. And for example Jaryn and Bodie look better in DC2 for me x) But i really like some outfits from DC3.

Because when he asks "which army?", the crew doesn't have an answer, as they don't have an army.
They do have an answer. They are all looking at you, the player. Since the story supposedly takes place after DC2, Tan knows you as you've already beaten him before. That's why DCI is smirking while Tan seems a bit taken aback.

Here's what I don't get. Oblio actually helped a lot in bringing down Dr. Tan. But Rasa and Lima don't really seem to give a sh** about him. They mention Dare and Maccoy having been missing, and they sound despairful when they find out they've gone under control, but not Oblio. When they see him with the mind control helmet, they're just like "Uuuuh... whatever". Isn't that... kind of sick and wrong? Like, "Let's rescue D-Coy, but not Oblio"?
They didnt know where he was for some reasons which is dumb AS HE IS IN THE VIDEO WITH TAN GIVING HIS SPEECH IN THE BEGGINING

There's nothing bad happened
Oblio was Dr Tans helper before bringing back and MAYBE agents dont know about him. After breaking his helmet he becomes a good character and hes helping in bringing back Dr Tan.

Maybe DCI wasn't a thing in the first game and was a subplot in the second that was never fully developed upon.
I made sure to play the story before watching this just now and you're right, it was worth it! I came here because I wanted to see the quirky cut scenes again. xD Too bad you can't replay the story again once you've done it. I think you'd have to make a new profile on your xbox. My phone can't scan the Qr codes from the master quest either. :/
