Nice review. Never was the biggest fan of the sculpt. (Looks slightly awkward.) But the original has a different visual impact/note to it this new one does not. Also, when you have so much time to redo something, I think we naturally expect it to be significantly better in some way, and other than for those who want to see red on Spawn, this doesn't accomplish that.
Agree 100% with you! This new version does not come close to the visual impact, as you said of the first one. Makes me wonder what the point was besides some quick nostalgia cash.
Glad I could help. I spend my own money on these things so I'm always going to try and be honest with people and let them know if things are not up to par. Thanks for watching! 🤟
@@playingwithplastic lol your right! I will admit some of the older statues are really great! Are you picking up the two pack? Or any of the other ones?
@@davidarden6942 unfortunately, no I won't be getting any of the other figures from this line. I have a few older Spawn figs/statues, like I think from series 24 and 25. If they were to do "remastered" versions of those, I would gladly get them and do a review.
I like the style of this figure but my friend told me today Ashley Wood drew Spawn and he send me this pic of the figure. Now I am looking to add this figure to my collection
old version looks best. and digital remaster? what do they mean by that? more like digital downgrade haha thanks for the review! i was considering buying it but meh, gonna pass
yea its what i hate most of all bout nearly all mcfarlane figures....almost zero articulation. they arent action figures rather more just statues. Not my thing
Nah, the 1st version still the best. It's like an art.

Thanks a lot for the review and especially for comparison!!!
Thanks, this review saved me from a preorder.

Damn, I got the autographed version of this too. Now I feel bad about it but I’ve never had the original.
You'll be alright I think. If you never had the original, just pretend like it doesn't exist! Thanks for watching! 🤟

Great review but I'm a bit disappointed with this re-release. I'll keep my original version.
Definitely hold on to the original!

Yeah because the hundreds of DC action figures and all the Batman figures have 0 articulation. Absolutely none.
