hey feed, I love your videos! what do you think about an introduction video about the strongest events and wich backgrounds you need for it? or maybe a tier list. thank you very much for your work!
From my anecdotal experience the barbarian axe and regular greataxe seem to kill almost every enemy in the same number of hits. Against enemies with a colossal amount of raw hp like unholds the regular greataxe's higher base damage may make a difference but I'm pretty sure 95% of the time the weapons are more or less interchangeable. I typically just use whichever I can get my hands on first (usually the barb axe as I can never seem to find fallen heroes with the greataxe).
The Barbarian Madman only has 10 Melee Defence, so as long as you have at least 105 Melee Skill you reach the cap of 95% hit chance. Swords (and even spears to some extent) shine when your hit chance jumps from e.g. 50% say against a Shieldwall or tough enemy to 60% (resp. 70%) because of the accuracy bonus.
I have used an overwhelm rondel build on him twice and it works pretty well IMO. Since puncture doesn't care about duelist/2handing you can also equip a heater shield for big defense. Obviously needs a high fat/matk brother for the build though.
True, though puncturing has too many failure points. Missing too much and running out of stamina means death. Also being nimble, getting hit once or twice by the cleaver and you will bleed out too.
@@feediefood Oh absolutely. Not the most reliable, but definitely the funniest method. Although a named shamshir with good AP rolls seems like it would be pretty fun too. If I could ever find one lmao
2h sword and mace gets flat +20 dmg on its basic attack. Providing extra dmg and arpen 2h axe does not get extra damage on the primary location, it gets 50% damage to other location. Thats why you get 150 max damage on a 100-max damage axe. Btw you test for reg 2h flail flawed we should find out if it can kill a barb in 3 hits (2 head shots and a body shot, with 50/50 split is the average result)
So axes deal more damage over all but they don't focus as much on a single body part like the hammer and orc flails, that explains a lot. thanks man :)
Since swords suck at doing armor damage and warhammers suck at doing health damage, what about a quickhands bro that uses warhammer+sword combo? Use warhammer for tanky enemies, when their armor is stripped use sword?
@@feediefood No I've never seen in mentioned by anyone before. It just randomly occurred to me after hearing you say you hate warhammers. warhammer in one hand, sword in the bag. Hammer mastery + duelist, no need for sword mastery as swords use low fatigue per attack anyways
@@aseed89 Sound good but it's what you call a hippie build since a whatever duelist can chew through armor well enough already and a fat neutral greataxe can also plough throw anything.
1h hammer was actually better than either the cleavers or the 1h maces and axes
This is the video I didn't know I needed. Nice one!
Great video
so hammer is stronger than we think :v

good idea! I always wanted to make a vid about events.

I have chosen ptsd, thus i try to find an axe from leaders and fallen heroes instead xD

Sweet!
@feediefood what mod did you use to do this test? To stop him from attacking and keep your brother healing when he did get hit
it's called debug mode
What about 2h mace+ qatal dblows? U hit, u daze. U swap to qatal. And dblow 4times, before his turn, if u Make this propper way.

Axe head and body hit didnt always crit(x1.5) to hp. Its same 25+weaponbonus chance to crit. And u split man when its crit.

I didn't think about mixing weapons. Is 1h hammer + sword a thing that people are using?
