As far as I am concerned, CONNIE FRANCIS is the greatest female singer of all time! The fact that she hasn't been recognized as such by the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame is an ABOMINATION! Where would rock 'n' roll be without her?! I was fortunate to see her at a concert like this in Las Vegas. It was a fan's dream come true and I am so glad to have done so.

I saw her in Las Vegas back in 1986 or 87 at the casino Frontiers now destroyed, and she talked to me when I yield to her Connie you are simply the best, she says stand up gentlemen, where are you from I said Montréal Canada and she told me I was on the Ste Catherine street back in 1966, and in a word it was a magnificent concert, very good souvenir.

Besides being an extraordinary talent Connie, like Joni, is first and foremost a genuine American Italian artist, with all the wonderful personality, warmth, humor and honest that comes with it. She asked me if I knew a good Jewish deli to take her crew to for a late dinner and when her secretary called the restaurant she reminded her not to say Connie Francis was coming. "I don't mind people coming up to talk with me or ask for autographs," she explained to me, "but I never have felt comfortable with the big star treatment in everyday life." I was impressed with her intelligence, her humility and her graciousness.
Well I'm 67 years old now, but I remember listening to her when I was but a teenager, and I just loved her and her music. She is a great entertainer. In my opinion, the best female male singer/entertainer of all !

The one, the only Connie Francis. She has always astounded me in so many ways and never more so than in a venue such as this with songs old and new. She simply takes my breath away. The struggle can be seen and heard...the relief can be felt. There is no one on the face of God's earth that I wish more wonderful things to than I do Connie Francis. Her closing number is such a tremendous and fitting tribute to her life, in particular, that it's a shame it was cut off at the end. I could only wish she would make this concert, as well as others, available for sale. I use to do a connie francis tribute show,my all time favourite songs were where the boys are and AL DI LA will never forget the standing ovation I got when I finished my show. Connie is amazing I just wish I could have met her but being from the UK that wasn’t likely 😢😢😢😢 Look up joe longthorne who sadly passed away a couple of months ago he sang the last song that connie sang in this concert if I never sing another song

Blueskytoday this was some time in 1989,not sure of the exact date.this was her return to live performing after several years.saw her shortly after in 1990 and 1991 and she was outstanding both shows.truly a wonderful performer and such a real person too,no phony show biz.she treats her fans as friends and always remembers you even if you met her just once.
Connie overcame many problems. She's a real trooper and she sounds great here. If you want to hear her live in her hay-day get the CDs "Connie Live at the Copa" and Connie "Live at the Sahara". There's also some live appearances on RUclips where she performed on "Ed Sullivan Show", "Perry Como Show" and "Jack Benny Show". She was one of the top performers in Las Vegas and night clubs all around the world.

I think Connie KNEW, and Understood, and Accepted that we LOVED her, but her own insecurities ( some from childhood trauma her controlled youth-hood) wouldn't allow herself to fully open up to us. She conveyed every song she sang with conviction, and wore her heart on her sleeve, and we wanted to almost smother her to let her know the way we loved her, but I think she felt safest to keep us at an arm length away.

dear mr. mullins: i agree! i came across ms. francis when i heard her version of siboney in spanish, however my parents used to listen to eydi gorme and nat king cole in spanish and english in our house. they are still household names in some places of latin america. ms. francis sang to the world.

this was some time in 1989,not sure of the exact date.this was her return to live performing after several years.saw her shortly after in 1990 and 1991 and she was outstanding both shows.truly a wonderful performer and such a real person too,no phony show biz.she treats her fans as friends and always remembers you even if you met her just once.

Connie overcame many problems. She's a real trooper and she sounds great here. If you want to hear her live in her hay-day get the CDs "Connie Live at the Copa" and Connie "Live at the Sahara". There's also some live appearances on RUclips where she performed on "Ed Sullivan Show", "Perry Como Show" and "Jack Benny Show". She was one of the top performers in Las Vegas and night clubs all around the world.

I think Connie KNEW, and Understood, and Accepted that we LOVED her, but her own insecurities ( some from childhood trauma her controlled youth-hood) wouldn't allow herself to fully open up to us. She conveyed every song she sang with conviction, and wore her heart on her sleeve, and we wanted to almost smother her to let her know the way we loved her, but I think she felt safest to keep us at an arm length away.

Connie is in excellent form in this concert, her voice was mumbling and very nasal in the London Palladium concert which is weird since the two concerts had to have taken place about the same time.
