I think it sounds more 80’s than 70’s. Definitely a fun, catchy song. The drums and bass are really good and we get a brief glimpse into Dimash’s tone towards the end. I loved the vocal run at the end too. The ‘band’ is just a bunch of his college friends.

I think it's just his friends from university, not an actual band. The guy on the drums is Dimash's best friend Aisultan, Dimash is godfather to his two children.
The song is very Europop and definitely reminds me of my years spent in Germany in the 80s.

I like watching old Dimash songs because I see how he developed with age, how he tried different styles, etc. The lyrics were written by Dimash's father. Dimash joked that no one would pick up a girl with the lyrics he used at first. I think he tried new recording methods with unusual echoes. In my country at that time, many singers used this echo. I don't remember what it was called. However, the recording method and techniques were a bit behind compared to other countries, but now Kazakhstan has caught up with other countries. Those who know the history of this country know why it was so.

    Dimash oringinal songs
    My Beauty
    Unforgetable Day
    War and Peace
    Be With Me
    When I've Got You
    Give Me Your Love
    Screaming
    My Love
Dimash was 17 here. He and his Dad wrote the song and produced the video.
This is in Kazakhstan. Not not as much commercial western music immersed. Their musical background comes from a lot of traditional music updated. Of course Dimash listens to everything pretty much. You wont find a more diverse singer than him. Simple or complex ..music is music and to be able to appreciate more genres as well as blends...one must open wider dimensions of themselves. Good is good. Timeless and genreless. The west is too inbred and stagnant now. Dimash has introduced something new at a time when we needed it. Innovation. Both vocally and composition wise.

This song is at the same time weirdly old fashioned and really different from everything I‘ve heard before. And, even though I’m not a fan of the drumming, I really love it too. ❤🥰
This shouldn’t work, yet it does. 😊
Thank you for your reaction! It was really fun. 🤩

Definitely not 70s as that is my time. Late 80s maybe. Some disco vibes too

👉 My Beauty is Dimash's (17) first official music video. A simple pop song that always puts a smile on my face. Dimash composed this song as a teenager, his father wrote the lyrics and produced the video. It was released in 2011. Dimash also sings the background voice in the MV. His friends from university play in the band.
Dimash composed this song specifically for a competition but the jury criticized him heavily for hitting the high notes (unworthy of a Kazakh man in their eyes). Luckily for us, Dimash knows better and didn't listen to them.: ruclips.net/video/Ig-V8VGFje0/видео.html or whole song by Dimash (but bad images and audio) from the competition - ruclips.net/video/YSiJ3uaEO4w/видео.html

👉Please, it would be even nicer to listen to you if you stopped the videos a little more sensitively, not in the middle of the note. You have an ear for music!

You really do stop way to much. I understand it's a reaction video, but at least wait I told the sentence or even worse is out of his mouth before you stop.. you stop in the middle of a word every 10 seconds. It's almost too hard to watch..
