Rocky white head on finely carbonated clear amber coloured body. Spicy malt, soapy & citrus hop aroma. Medium bodied, sharp, dry with a clean back. Rye, bred crust & zesty citrus tastes. Decent enough. Very similar to Ghost Ship.
Adnams have really lost themselves in recent years trying to branch out too much too fast & it's nearly killed the company. Ghost Ship used to be a favourite of mine but bottles are disappointing now & on tap it's mostly miss. I did recently find a good pint of it that reminded me why I used to love it but it's still not the uniquely memorable standout that it used to be. Maybe I'm crazy & my tastebuds have just changed but I fondly remember Ghost Ship having more of a refreshing melon flavour & a crisp aftertaste with a hint of biscuit whereas now it's dominated by citrus, especially grapefruit which lingers on the aftertaste & that's one flavour I hate in my ales unless it's done subtley.
I agree Ghost Ship is not the beer it once was. From what I understand Adnams are still in financial trouble. It would be a loss if they went under. They need to get back to basics and stick to what they are good at.
Good work chris
Thanks 👍
id love to see broadside on pd .not seen this beer yet where i live
That would be great
I love ghost ship I brewed the Brew Bros all grain kit and it also was absolutely beautiful. I definitely fancy trying that cheers 👍🍻

It is a shame you can't buy single bottles/cans from Adnams to give the full range a try, only limited options in supermarkets near me.
I agree, surely they would get more orders if you could buy single bottles.
Blimey you been banging out the videos lately it was very quiet then boom take that 😂
I know! I got on a right roll! 😃
Having the double in the name is a bit misleading, double dry hopped more like. Sounds like it has a bit of rye in the grain bill.
Agree the double in the name is misleading.
@@ChrissBeerReviewsno it’s not
