You make it look easy, man. Passing three at a time, dodging spin outs, driving off line, staying relaxed, passing nearly everyone and never getting passed. I appreciate your sportsmanship, too. Making clean passes, giving a kart width on slow overtakes, waving to other drivers, and giving a position back after contact. Good show all around.

Thanks man! It's all about the long game in these enduros so I try to play it as smart as I can. I did get passed once in this stint though! At 19:36. Those guys lucked into qualifying in that rocketship and got it AGAIN later in the race, so they wound up spending at least 1/3 of the enduro in that one kart alone.

At least you kept him in your sights for a few laps afterward in an inferior kart.

Nice driving. You mentioned kart differences often in your stint (even some from past events). That #5 pulled away easily out there.

Yeah, I'm probably beating a dead horse, but as great of a facility and track that AMP has, I just wish they had a mechanic that spent more time with the karts. The sad thing is, I'm positive it's really small things that could be done to help their fleet, but I don't think they have anyone that hops in the karts to do any sort of benchmarking whatsoever. Tire pressure and throttle checks alone would help them so much.

@@fortressofsoliddudes4597 Does anyone else in these events speak to the staff about these problems? AMP endurance events quickly sell out all spots despite the issues you stated. I do not see them changing their current format with those 18 month old Sodikarts.
Those small things do add up and make a big difference. Those three botched pit stops ruined your overall team finish. A karting track In my area (FPK) opened last year and their attention to these details made issues you mentioned from rental kart parity and botched pit stops less random to overall placement in events.

@@LONEWOLF_1-B3 I think the frustrating thing is, I don't mind a little kart disparity. It's gonna happen everywhere. But some karts you don't even have to get in another one to compare whether or not it's good or bad; it's immediately noticeable, and there's no way their employees wouldn't notice it. As far as format and just staying on top of things, it's getting better there, but I get the feeling they either prefer to learn from their own mistakes or they think things are as good as they can get.

@@fortressofsoliddudes4597 I am a new racer at the AMP events and I was impressed with their responsiveness to kart critiques at this weekend's 4-hour enduro. I saw them take karts out several times to assess issues. And I know one kart was addressed from the night before because I complained about it and it was running well on Saturday. Course they also had at least 5 karts go down during the race (although I think several of these had damage due to drivers taking them hard off the course). They totally botched the scoring, but they fixed that after we questioned it.

@@stimpsonjcat67 That's really good news. What were people doing off the track that was tearing up the karts so much that they had to retire the karts???

Any video from the 8 hour race? Pretty sure we raced against y’all for a bit! I was a member of 50 shades of skid marks and it was my first race. Had a great time!

Hi David - we have footage that will probably be uploaded sometime this week, but nothing that's ready yet. Was good racing with you guys and hope to see you at the 10 hour in October.

Excellent racing. I like your style, and fairness. Thanks for the upload.
Was difficult to read your captions in 360p, the highest resolution available.
EDIT: after watching the entire video 1080p was available after reloading :/
