  • Today we are landing at Mariazell, a well-known GA Airport located in the Austrian Alps. The views during the VFR approach are incredible, and well worth the challenge: the airfield only has a 500 meters (1640ft) runway, with a displaced threshold and a slight slope. And yes, it's in the Alps so high terrain all around! The DOVA Skylark DV1 is in her element and handles beautifully the approach and landing in this non-towered airport.
