I know little about running a large ocean going vessel. However over my 60 year career I have learned to recognize quality and excellent leadership. You said that you are "proud o be one of them". You sir are an excellent leader and I am sure that the crew is proud of the work you do. Congratulations. Happy Easter.
From beginning, to its conclusion, this work exemplifies mastery in the art of telling a worthy story. It brings us, once again, into a world which for me is so dissimilar to my daily life. Yet, the common thread which binds the construction of this tapestry holds a shining truth: The heart of every man and woman is a root from which all else is known. This viewer is continually impressed, and encouraged by the skills. But, much more than this, I hold gratitude to have heard the heart of a distant fellow traveler. I, too am proud to be one of them.
Chief, Well done, Sir! The emphasis on safety, the cleanliness of the engine room and ship should make your company very proud. Their commitment for excellence shows in their priorities and in you! Thanks for another great video!
Thanks Chief. As the son (now 76 years of age) of a former Chief Engineer in the British Merchant Marine, I am impressed. But most of all; I was extremely impressed with the saying of Grace Before Meals by the families and crew of that ship. They were not scared to demonstrate their faith when they made the Sign of the Cross. Great Vlogs. I have enjoyed all of them.
As usual Chief an awesome well done video. Your videos are well edited and flow smoothly. You have a pleasant speaking voice. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and continue sharing the life of a seafarers
Looking at that "welcome" buffet for the oncoming crew and their loved ones tells me this is a Filipino crew without even seeing anyone. I have a few Filipino friends who have taught me in their own friendly way that great food and warm fellowship are a huge part of their culture.
"Goosebumps" while watching your last episodes @Chief_MAKOi Love the way you conduct your life and profession by choosing the perfect team. Very emotional and inspiring. It was great to see you on board again. Thanks for sharing! Best wishes from Spain.
Just found your channel. Love it. It's nice to see a gentleman who knows it's not all about him but it takes a whole crew to make a ship go. All the Best to you and you family. Safe voyages.

Just signed off, and watching your great inspirational video Chief, so much integrity in that ship, we must learn from them. Thank you for sharing this lovely video.
Well..all I can say is...another outstanding video, well done, as always. I imagine it felt good just walking up the brow and getting your feet back on deck, even though you weren't getting underway. There is just something about standing on a ship's deck, the smell of the air, gulls flying overhead, it just feels good, underway or not. Thanks again Chief for another GREAT video, all the very best to you and yours.
Really enjoy your videos. Have spent hours watching. I worked on large draglines some with large engines with elect drive so I enjoy the equipment being like what I worked on and maintain.
Thank you sir. Your videos are so amazing to watch. From the drone shoots, to the information of the ship, and of course crew, and family. Thank you, God bless.
Missing your 'at sea' blogs, but after four years on a Destroyer during the Korean War, I understand how it is to be ashore and with family. Having said that, I totally enjoyed my sea duty.
You make very nice videos. Well shot, well edited and well narrated. I live inland and have no real experience with teh sea or merchant marine, but I find your videos quite interesting.
It's interesting to see how professionals work all over the world. When I was on active duty, I served with many people from the Philippines. They were great people to serve with.
Chief mako if they passed your inspection of the ship then we know it is in good shape and good to see you back on board great video as well thanks ronrdzlmb
Hey Chief, I have just found out your channel and I can’t stop watching your excellent videos! Great content and congratulations YOU ARE A GREAT COMMUNICATOR! You should launch your naval security awareness company and will make a ton of money! Keep up the great content!
Thank you Chief for another wonderful video. This was very interesting. I'm always amazed how bright, clean and cheerful the engine rooms are. The views along the coast were stunning! Such a beautiful country. If you're ever out driving and pass water with a caribou nose just barely out of the water, please film it. People who live outside the Philippines have no idea that the whole huge animal is underwater and only his nostrils are on the surface. :) That used to fascinate me and I'm sure it would others. There are so many wonderful little things than no one knows about and when we live there tend to take for granted. I remember every detail like it was yesterday. That pig looked so good I could eat the whole thing!! All the food was fabulous! Thanks again for all you do.
I could listen to you all day. You do a great job. You should really try to expand what you do. Send some tapes to the different channels especially the discovery channel.

Hello, Chief. I have watched your videos already for a one year. I am a cadet in Admiral Makarov Academy in Saints Petersburg. I will have my first practice after a couple of months in MTM company. I am really surprised that you working there as well. That will be amazing, if I will be on the one ship with you. Thanks for your videos, they really helps new marine workers in English skills and also in sea-going procedures knowledge and some aspects. THANKS A LOT

I'm getting hungry watching this video. That has to be some of the best food I have ever seen on a ship anywhere. That food is better than the best food you would find on a cruise ship! Nobody will want to leave the ship with that type of food onboard☺
You really have a reason to be proud, Chief! BTW, the lady with you, in high visibility vest, is a part of your "leadership visit" team, and others are family members? No female crew members yet?
Hey Chief, great video! We spoke a while back on your video of cleaning a bulk tanker talking about confined spaces and the like and I've got a similar question here. How are the tanks on this ship cleaned? Trucks and smaller storage vessels like the 30,000L tanks I deal with are fairly easy, just needing a bunch of steam for non food grade chemicals but how does it work on a ship? I assume it's a little more difficult to clean at sea than your video of a bulk ship showed and I'm guessing it's not as easy as just putting on the steam and draining it after an hour or two. How do you transition from industrial chemicals to food grade loads?
Chief. I'm new here. Two weeks ago. Can you tell me when you upload videos? It doesn't seem like its very often. Just not sure how you work your channel as far as videos go. Thanks
Hi Todd. I've just been busy these past 2 months. But I'm working on a few videos which will be uploaded in the next few weeks. I'm also scheduled to go back to shipboard duty on May so hang on because season 3 will have greater improvements compared to my earlier videos!
