Wow thanks for the video. I’ve been stressing out that I would have to buy a new iPhone because my speaker quit. I’m going to order a speaker tonight and install soon. Thanks again you saved me a lot of money
Thanks for this. I was confused at first as the joints are under some black tape, but one I figured that out the job was a breeze. Cheers
thanks for the info, thought it was harder but after seeing your video and then doing trying it, it wasn't bad at all.
THX that helped me a lot. It was really easy with your video.
hello, congratulations for the video! can I ask you at what temperature the soldering iron must work for this repair and if you need to pre-weld the speaker before soldering the flat cable? thanks
450C
Do you need any flux for this repair, or did you just drop fresh solder on to get started?
What liquid did you use to Removing solder replacing earpiece/speaker
Also probably to clean the flex he used some alcohol based cleaner.
If the ear speaker is very low and the net is clean does that mean it needs changing or is it a soft ware issue?
Another excellent win. A BIG 👍 from me!
i just replace the battery and ear speaker. Face id will work if you don't damage the original flex cable. Just solder properly, and everything works.
The temperature?
Great job mate! Had the same, speculations about third party flex.
Thanks from Denmark.
Which liquid do you use on speaker before put welder on? Thanks
It´s flux material
What temp did you have the solder on? And what solder wire do you prefer to use for a job like this?
Third part flex cables would mean no Face ID?
Yes sadly
yes coz the flood illuminator on the flex is paired to the logic board
Very good job , I need to make this too because my speaker make shit sound , but my screen have black point on the corner iam afraid to open my iPhone and the screen broken ...
Is there any hope to keep Face ID if the small flex cable that attaches to the ear speaker assembly rips? When I opened my iPhone X to try repairing it the thing came apart in such a strange way and caused that cable to rip. My assumption is the only way to keep Face ID and have the ear speaker work is if someone did some miracle soldering to somehow attach the ripped flex cable to the two microsoldering joints? I've seen this done with torn Touch ID flex cables before so I'm curious if it's possible with this?
Sir with due respect you need to be professional and extraordinary skilled with soldering to perform this types of jobs.. I advice everyone non professional not to try this by themselves rather seek assistance from someone professional.. Thanks 😊
cell hospital my question is if it was possible to solder that ribbon cable and it is. But you must solder tiny wires to restablish the network of leads. Very difficult like you said but thanks for the reply.

Where can I find an original ear speaker for my iPhone XR and is anything the same just as you showed it in your video?
Please do have any platform.. so that i can join 😿😿
I Broke my iPhone X ear speaker flex cable, I wanna to use your service to get it fix
So, I just replaced my speaker because the audio quality was crackling and terrible. I had purchased a complete speaker and cable, and when I installed it, the FaceID would not pair with the phone (thanks Apple). I decided to try this swap, desoldering the speaker looked easy, so I went ahead (even before I watched it) and now I get no sound from the speaker at all. I reverted the cable, went back to the old speaker, and I still have no sound from the earpiece. Now neither my old or new speaker works, so this leads me to believe that something needs to be reset in the phone. The power was off, battery and screen disconnected when I did the work. Not sure what else to look for. Any ideas would be welcome.
did you solved ?
@@stein3d I did solve it. It actually turned out that the new speaker I purchased was faulty. I ended up buying another faceid/speaker cable and desoldering the speaker from that and reattaching it to the phone's original faceid camera. Everyone works perfectly now. It is tedious but with the right tools, you can do it in an hour and avoids what Apple might charge you for such a task.
Doesn’t the flex damaged when applying heat from the solder iron ?
My iPhone xs Max ear speaker is getting hot
When I disconnected speaker
phone works fine
When I connect speaker it gets heatup and drains battery too
Could you please suggest what should I do
Guys, can someone please explain me why the Face ID will stop working when it’s not at all on the same flex cable where is the brocken earpiece speaker. Face ID or DOT projector is on the flex cable under the battery, together with camera. NorthridgeFix really grate video, plase give me comment on this so I understand better how is this causing the failure of Face ID. Thank’s
If you do it like in the video, face id will still work. it only doesn't work if you change the whole module with new flex cable etc.
If u change the flex cable face id will not work if u want to change the flex because of a tear u need to transfer the components on the flex
How much the cost for change the speaker ?
Thanks Mate great video
If my earpiece is broken and I replace it will it affect face id
yes it will, you will lose face id
Hi, great job, are in the uk.
USA California
What liquid was used to help desolder ?
Flux amzn.to/2UzdZxR
I have the flex taken out and have the new speaker. Just need soldering done. How much do you charge ?
@@theosbyfam4224 I'm sure you have fixed if not cell hospital can help you for free if you send it to South Africa 😉
You don’t lost Face ID ?
Rémi Courty that is what i want to know
This looks easy to me, but I have absolutely no soldering experience & don’t want to risk losing Face ID or worse
Question, does Face ID work after this?
Why wouldn't it work?
@@NorthridgeFix I saw other guys saying the face id stop working after replace the earspeaker too
@@Vh3pro That may be true if you replace both the proximity sensor and speaker but we only replaced the speaker and not the whole flex cable.
NorthridgeFix if the earpiece is broken will it affect face id?
Carlos.144hz no
Hi after I connect the speaker flexy phone goes on and of and if I disconnect phone works properly what must I replace
Ali Naqi you damaged the flex, it could probably be microsoldered / repaired but it would probably be quite costly.
Why don’t you show that the speaker actually work after your repair?
Do you retain face id after this procedure?
Sane question here
Yes
Yes. You can replace without soldering but that voids the face id
