So, I have 2020 version of illustrator. Am working on 3D letters for logos. When I hit expand experience it just highlight the front part of the shape or letter. However it is not doing both sides of the letter at the same time. I cannot ungroup, then select certain areas to work on. I'm frustrated. Trying to add in gradiants

Which version is this because why expand appearance option is coming not expand option is coming on center stroke?
The first time that i notice that ...thank you ... but it's not smarter from adobe to do those mistakes !!!
