    I'm a VITAMIX guy, but the Nutribullet did surprise. Thanks guys! 🍅

    Purchased my Vitamix 5200 back in 2009, and it still works perfectly. Only thing I did was replace the plastic pitcher with a stainless steel one a few years ago and love it. Because of the performance and versatility of the blender, I honestly don't need another one. Great reviews of the machines, thanks for posting :)

    FYI,, in reference to the nutribullet, for soups it is the large pitcher that should be used due to ventilation.

  • @kairosgrammy
    @kairosgrammy 8 лет назад +3

    The nutribullet rX has a separate container that is vented. The container you used was the wrong one.

    • @blendoffs
      @blendoffs  8 лет назад +1

      Lol! Yes, we realized that after we did the video! The NutriBullet vented container works just like the Vitamix and Blendtec containers to vent the steam out from the lid while the soup heats. Surprisingly enough, the 45oz NutriBullet Pitcher was ok after running the NutriBullet for 6 minutes. It was very very hot after the 6 minutes, but the blender didn't overheat and the NutriBullet pitcher was ok.

    I thought the nutribullet Rx had a special container for soups which has a vent/opening at the top.

    Since your refered to the texture, it would have been nice to see a smear test or something that allowed us to see it.

    • @blendoffs
      @blendoffs  8 лет назад

      Stay tuned for more Blend Off Videos coming, we have a Blendtec Vs Vitamix Series coming, and also a Harley Pasternak Power Blender vs Omega BL630 Blender Series coming. I think we do some smear tests in those! Overall the Blendtec, Vitamix, and NutriBullet are fairly similar in consistency, the Blendtec and Vitamix usually come out a little bit smoother than the NutriBullet, but all 3 of those do a great job. The only one that had a completely different texture and taste was the Ninja Mega Blender.

    Have you tried the new Aimores blender with the heating element. It comes with a Boro glass and heats to 212 f? It would heat without having to blend the entire time. It controls how chunky you want it plus easier om the ears. I have just bought the Aimores As-is 831 and so far so good.

    Won't that heat meat up when grinding a large amount? I'm happy, I never tried soup yet, in my Vitamix. What is your opinion on the Blendtec,, not needing a tamper, I would think that is a good thing, but does that mean it's a stronger blender?

    • @blendoffs
      @blendoffs  7 лет назад

      After running a bunch of tests on the Blendtec and Vitamix blenders, we find them to be fairly equal and capable of accomplishing the same thing. It's a matter of which blender your more comfortable with. The tamper is nice to have but you don't need it most of the time, but sometimes you do, Lol! Soup is easy to make, just add vegetables and water with some seasoning and run the blender on it's highest speed for around 4 to 6 minutes. It will cook a steamy soup pretty fast.

    I would think the Ninja has better blades which cut food with less friction therefore gets less hot.

    Hmmm. Desired consistency of chunkiness.

  • @airlar4857
    @airlar4857 6 лет назад +2

    One glaring omission from this reviewis quality, which for the NB and Ninja simply aren't even in the same league. Chinese typically build junk, and Americans typically don't. I smoked the motor on a Ninja I received as a gift, and after disposing of it, did some in-depth research and bought a Blendtec (years ago) - I've had exactly zero issues. My mother burned up a NB shortly after I got my Blendtec, and at that point I was so impressed with mine that I bought her one... she's had no issues. Blendtec and Vitamix both put out a solid product, but I decided on the Blendtec over the Vitamix really for 2 reasons: First, I like being able to reach into the jar with my hand to clean and dry without worrying about disassembly or cutting myself on sharp blades (Blendtec uses blunt blades), and second I don't want to keep up with that stick that goes through the lid that you need to push things around to get them to blend sometimes. To each their own, but you couldn't get me to trade my Blendtec for any other blender...

    why didnt you use the soup feature for the rx???

    • @blendoffs
      @blendoffs  8 лет назад

      I know, we messed up. Yes everyone, the Nutribullet RX has a soup feature that runs for a longer period of time, it's on the front bottom part of the Nutribullet Rx Blender Base. We totally forgot to push the button before starting the soup blend, also, we used the wrong Nutribullet Pitcher. There is another pitcher that comes with the Rx Blender which has vented lids to let the steam out so the blender doesn't over heat. Our bad. But we put it in our review to let people know. Sorry, happy blending everyone... Here's a link to the Best Blender Soup Review... thedailyvitamin.com/?p=8794

      U are so lucky that the nutribullet didn't explode on you. you are never to cook hot things in that cup it says it right on the directions if u had cooked it with the 7 minute cycle u would hav had a hot mess and this is why it got so much hotter.

  • @pchris3437
    @pchris3437 5 лет назад

    The Nutri Bullet was hotter, because it has no vents to let the steam out like the Vita Mix and Blendtec.

    The thing is that over 118 degrees the vitamin molecules are rapidly destroyed, which means you're mainly getting fibre and not many nutrients. Also, all these machines contain harmful chemicals in the plastic jugs, which are related when the plastic is heated - even if they're BPA-free. This is the case for almost all types of plastic (which is exactly what makes it a plastic). My brother-in-law is a chemical engineer and has tested this. The effects are that these plasticides contain hormone-disruption. A glass jug would be better. I don't know why they don't use glass and why weight needs to be an issue; it's not as if people want to carry them around. I wouldn't buy any of these machines until there's one with either a glass or stainless steel jug.

    • @blendoffs

      Hey Shaz, thanks for your response. The Material used by Vitamix and Blendtec is called Eastman Tritan Co Polyester, so actually it is not plastic and both companies promote that it is completely BPA FREE and Safe. On the other hand, Nutribullet and Ninja Blender use a heavy duty plastic material for their jars and containers. If you are a concerned consumer then make sure to go to www.TheDailyVitamin.com and read more about these blenders.
      Thanks for your response, have a wonderful day.

    • @LiaoK
      @LiaoK 8 лет назад +2

      The Tritan material in the Blendtecs and Vitamixes don't contain any bisphenol analogues. They meet both FDA and NSF certs, so I wouldn't worry too much.

      Shaz W, There's a stainless steel jug available from the brand 'Waring' that perfectly fits the base of Vitamix. I'm considering to use that combination if my Vitamix container becomes scratched or damaged someday.

    Blendoffs-Blender Blend Off Blends, could you please put your soup recipe in the comments

    • @blendoffs
      @blendoffs  7 лет назад +1

      Lol. Not sure where the link is right now, but here it is.............!!!!!!!!
      2 cups of water
      3 Celery Stalks
      A little bit of Onion
      Some Peppers
      Some Garlic
      Some Cilantro
      (Add whatever veggies you want)
      What makes it great is this.....
      Tbsp Taco Seasoning
      Some Cayenne Pepper
      Run it on high for around 4 to 6 minutes, enjoy...
      Add in chicken, corn, beef, and whatever else after all those ingredients are cooked and liquified, use the pulse key to make it chunky.

      Do you recall the brand of the Taco Seasoning? Also what do you think of the CleanBlend blender?
      I've found that using a freshly steamed baked (purple) potato, cauliflower, and/or an avocado also helps with thickening the soup salad!

    • @blendoffs
      @blendoffs  8 лет назад +1

      Lol! It really doesn't matter to much which blender wins, but that it can actually cook the soup to 165 degrees. The NutriBullet Rx 1700 Watt Blender, The Blendtec Blender, and the Vitamix Blender can all do it. The Ninja Mega Blending System doesn't allow for enough friction to cook soups, unfortunately.
